That's bollocks. An ICT player threw the ball hard into the ground in front of the ref after a free kick was awarded against him and the ref gave him a finger wagging, then booked our guy for less. As for the penalty, are you for real? Deliberate handball?? I watched two views on tv and couldn't tell if it hit his hand. He certainly didn't throw his arms out to defend the ball. He was lunging to block the ball and could only have been a yard away from the player when he hammered it against him. Absolutely outrageous penalty. I'm not saying we were anything other than shit on the day, especially in the second half, but the ref did us no favours and made the game changing decision at the penalty. We were as good or bad as them in the first half but we lost our concentration after the first goal and within a few minutes were 3-0 down. Yet another shite ref.

Our cause not aided by the fact that DL took off Gowser and McGinn who were the only two players likely to open up ICT (albeit they were playing pish due to the wind and the long grass). MUST stop other teams scoring. Centre half and right back will do for starters. DVZ is way past his best and McGregor will likely get injured again when he comes back. Get it sorted or we're fkd methinks.

You obviously weren't there today. Long ball from the start. Never once played out of defence and through their midfield and I actually mean I don't remember doing it ONCE in 90 minutes. I'm a big believer in not pressing the panic button, but that was worrying. As for best manager in the country, I'd say Butcher and Adams (on a similar budget as us, or less) finishing 3rd and 4th in the league last year proves you're talking pish.

Remember 2 seasons ago ICT started shit, were bottom of the league, losing bucket loads of goals..........and the rest is history? Come back and pass judgement on our new keeper(s) and McGregor/defence, etc, etc in October when they've all had a chance to settle in and play a few meaningful games. Sure it's a poor pre-season, but ffs give it some time before binning players you've seen once!! Reckon some of the people on here slating the keepers weren't even at the games. Unreal!

Agree strongly that Carey wasn't given a proper chance. The fact that he played in the 3 consecutive wins then dropped says it all. The games he played throughout the season with Dummett down the left showed a good partnership and a serious threat. Carey isn't the finished article and had some crap performances, but I blame the coaching staff for not getting the best out of him. In fact, that brings me to my main point. A team who goes unbeaten against the 2nd and 3rd placed teams and gets a draw and a win against the top team in the league, but still loses multiple games against the teams around us at the foot of the table is surely not being properly motivated. The first half v Dundee and Killie away were outstanding, but the half time tinkering of the tactics (Goncalves wide left after tormenting the Killie defence for 45 mins through the middle.....SERIOUSLY ???). I'm not expecting or demanding we play that well every week, but would hope for more consistency. Loooong hard look in the mirror required by the management. First couple of months of next season will be the making or breaking of DL's career at SMFC. I hope he's got these calls, as well as the upcoming new signings, correct.

Everyone seems to be demanding that Rangers must start in Div 3. The SPL have held up their part of the bargain by refusing Newco entry into the top league. The decision on which level of entry they are handed in the SFL is down to the SFL clubs alone. If they deem the 1st Division to be the correct place for them to start, who are we to complain? I agree with everyone's disgust at the SPL bully boys meddling in this decision by issuing blatant threats to the SFL teams. The SFL should be left to get on with it themselves AND the proposed changes to league structure (SPL1/2) should be voted on separately. I'll be at the shareholders meeting on Monday asking that SMFC distance themselves from these shocking blackmail tactics. They harped on about sporting integrity when justifying refusing SPL status to Newco, then incredibly came up with this hairbrained scheme to get them back up ASAP. Double standards of the worst kind. Not in my name Mr G. Having said all the above, I want to hear the full story before passing judgement on anyone. In particular I want to know how the tv money was divvied up last season and what Sky are going to do next season. They must know by now, as Newco are confirmed out of the SPL. I think some of the scaremongering "£800k loss if Sky pull out" stories will be shown up to be a fabrication.
