  1. Oh the forum bore returns. I have you on ignore but somehow I knew you’d be following me around the forum like a saddo. I merely asked the question about Kyle, with all due respect it was part time opposition today. League action will be a better gauge of all our recruits. Back to staring at pictures of Allan Stubbs you go! ETA: Teams can have more than one winger and more than one player capable of playing left back you utter buffoon
  2. Good result, showed exactly the kind of character we’ll need in the coming months. Although let’s not get carried away. Striker, left back and winger please.
  3. Well definitely not from me, hope that wasn’t what FTOF was getting at because it’s certainly not the case and i’m horrified that anybody would genuinely want us to lose just to be proved correct.
  4. As I said it was worded incorrectly, he hasn’t played first team football - fact. As i’ve also already stated Hayden Coulson and NBM came from that level - we’ll see if these two can hack it, hopefully they can. I’ve removed the last part of your post because it’s an absolute crock and is hurting my eyes - no St Mirren fan wants OK to fail.
  5. Oh right, thought it would be rather obvious when I said football I meant at a good level. Clearly not. If that’s the case are we counting bounce games and games in training aswell? I’ll rephrase he’s played very little competitive first team football since leaving us. Brad Lyons played almost 100 games for Coleraine under our current manager (therefore he’s not “only really played reguarly for Blackburn U-23’s), they will have a very good working relationship and this can’t be underestimated. He then went to Blackburn on loan under what appears to be some sort of trial period, he’s clearly impressed and has now won himself a move. As with any signings who haven’t played at this level I have no idea how Kyle or Brad will fair... obviously i’m hoping for the best. With regards to injuries, one of the signings gives me more concern than the other. I have my fingers crossed it all works out though. As above I wasn’t speaking literally, if we’re counting reserve football as game time then all our youth players are ready to just waltz into Premiership football? No, thought not.
  6. If you think English reserve football stands any player in good stead for first team football let alone a relegation battle then you’re in for a shock. We already witnessed this with Hayden Coulson and Alfie Jones for the first 3 months he was here.
  7. An injured player who has played little football in a year and a half is as much use as a player who isn’t deemed good enough.
  8. Very high risk signing considering how little football he has played in the last 18 months. I’m afraid it’s going to take a lot more than this and Conor Bloody Sammon to excite the fanbase.
  9. Sammon would be a distinctly underwhelming signing. Seems as if some things we had in the pipeline have not came off well and as a result we’ve collapsed into a panic. Letting our (arguably) best player from last year go; Targetting Conor Sammon; Accies signing a very good player in Andreu; luckily Dundee’s business so far has been terrible...
  10. Polworth is an attacking midfielder. Leading assister in the Championship last year.
  11. Will be interesting to see how the decision to let Cammy go pans out... OK and Gus better have something special up their sleeves! Cammy has struggled to adapt but in fairness he was told he wasn’t good enough by his previous manager when he was every bit as integral to the team as Lewis Morgan. Goes without saying a club like St Mirren doesn’t have technically gifted players often, when we do we should be playing a system to suit them, or... we could not play him/give him limited game time and punt highballs over his head and subsequently sell him for a pitiful fee to a potential play off rival! Your move Oran!
  12. Good luck to Eck. A tidy player who done us a job and was part of a very enjoyable time supporting the club. I guess the manager thinks his injuries have finally caught up with him. A leftback should be high up the recruitment list now as it’s completely unreasonable to put a 17 year old centre midfielder there for most of the season!
  13. Shuggie Murray must be due his testimonial soon?
  14. Hope Lewis Morgan doesn’t leave
  15. Midfielder from fellow Premiership side inbound?
  16. Lyness’ choice to move on, good luck to him. Looked like a decent enough keeper if unspectacular. Like Hammill if anybody doesn’t want to be here, best to let them go. King was definitely in the top 10 worst signings we’ve ever made though. Horrendous, and on a 2 year deal aswell... Thanks Alan Stubbs! Good luck to O’Keefe though, sad to see one of our academy boys move on.
  17. Defender inbound from European side on loan...
  18. Absolutely no excuse for anything other than good recruitment this window. Worryingly at the moment it looks like our rivals Dundee have at least a plan (bring in as many players their manager has previously worked with as possible.) Currently it looks like we’re playing a game of hope for the best by repeating January 2017 as closely as possible. Here’s hoping...
  19. At the time he at least looked a little more competent at our level than most of the arrivals. And he wasn’t signed by AS so he might have a chance of being decent... Good luck Jim.
  20. Oh right, explain to me what that performance was in the last 20 minutes then - particularly at the goal? If surrendering a point against a pretty poor team that was within touching distance is acceptable to you and the other happy clappers who ‘liked’ your jibberish then so be it.
