beyond our ken
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robbie_Robertson I saw on Gavin Sutherland’s feed this morning that Robbie Robertson has died a towering figure in rock history and a major influence to some of the biggest names RIP
rabuddies
Once of the most influencial figures in music through the later years of the 20th Century. He "electrified" Dylan and basically created Americana, which was strange considering he was the child of a Native American(Mohawk) woman and an American Jewish Gangster and was raised by a Scots Canadian until his mid-teens. I had hinted to Celtic Connections some years ago that instead of playing tribute to The Band they should try and get the two remaing mambers (Robertson and Garth Hudson) over and get them to play at the biggest Americana showpiece in the world. Not only was he a major influence to some of the biggest names, to me he was one of the biggest names. Recommended: Live At The Academy Of Music 1971 (Both of The Rock Of Ages Concerts) all 56 tracks from Megaboon for less tha $5.
