  1. The bright side of this is it could have been us, unprepared and humiliated.
  2. Got back about half an hour ago, really enjoyed the game, decent performance no matter the opposition, Gogic was everywhere and O'Hara strolled it for much of the game, Nahmani really looked the part and Mandron put himself about too. I said on another thread that I thought some of our 'forwards' would need to play wider and Lewis did well when he came on, positive reaction from last week e pected and delivered.
  3. Yes, I believe their idea was to utilise the whole state rather than centre it in Melbourne therefore adding considerably to their costs and diluting potential benefit. There is a reason these events are usually kept in a 'tighter' geographical location. Single sport events are slightly different which is why the World Cup works where infrastructure just needs a revamp rather than a new build.
  4. Smacks of an out of court settlement to shut it down to me, can't see it going to court unless AW has the evidence or is particularly fond of big risks.
  5. Saw the latest Pampers advert earlier claiming they help prevent leaks at the back, I can see a sponsorship opportunity or if we continue to struggle, a new technical partner!
  6. Lived in the prefabs in Gallowhill when I was very young only have a vague memory of it though.
  7. Coming up for this one with my boy coming down from Snecky, win or lose it'll be worth the journey although really hoping we can get out of the blocks swiftly and put in a performance, also coming up for the Forfar game but my son can't make that one.
  8. We watched a thriller from 2013 called Prisoners with Jake Gyllenhaal and Hugh Jackman, really enjoyed it not just because the latter didn't feel the need to sing. Dogged detective facing distraught parents and all that follows with a few curve balls thrown in, MrsS didn't once feel the need to reach for her tablet, good sign.
  9. I would hope we hold out for at least the wage we would have paid over the remainder of his contract.
  10. Clearly he has more money than sense! I'm sure he's regretting his overbearing pomposity (amongst other things) now.
  11. I'm almost certain it has happened before 🤔
  12. Stunning looking stadium, I hope the football is as pleasing on the eye next season for their sakes!
  13. Personally I see the forum as a bit of a laugh and a chance to converse with fellow buddies, off season, unless there is anything interesting happening, it tends to be quiet, after this weekend we'll be able to get back to celebrating/castigating, the manager, players, officials or opposition as appropriate. That is until someone takes it off topic and argues pointlessly for 10 pages before the next matchday thread.
  14. Could mean some of our players will be expected to play out wide rather than through the middle?
  15. Don't think so, from what I could tell it sounds like he could be back Sept /Oct time.
  16. Happy with an elected second chamber but not one that is all elected at the same time otherwise you get the risk of both chambers having a very similar make up, and I don't mean Max Factor!
  17. Yeah, that's pretty much the training gear, even in red that would be quite smart.
  18. Can't see that this year, possibly black with the squares as per the stripes on the home kit given last year's black kit was so popular, but could be anything, but I do like your suggestion for next year if we can get bespoke in year 2.
  19. The question now raises its head that if FIFA are changing the rule to that extent is VAR required for offsides or is this the first step to single official at a match with technology covering all the 'minor' decisions? Just a thought.
  20. So, Jay off to Ross County for fee and sell on clause, decent business if he didn't want to stay and out of contract.
  21. Staff from the Passport office in Durham were working in our office throughout 2020 and 2021, with, I'm led to believe, less social distancing than a tory party shindig! So it isn't purely down to home/hybrid working.
  22. In the online shop, full stripes on the back, good stuff 👍
