  1. Stupid person. How can you be so superficial?! It is not just about a personality - though she was an evil, unmourned, unloved one. ford prefect wasn't blaming thatcher, per se - he was blaming her deconstruction and destruction of the society that existed at that time; of robbing millions the opportunity of living a decent life; and of her ripping the heart of out of communities up and down the land... and profitting her lords and paymasters. The ill-effects of that are still redounding down the years. I believe that it has been a huge contributor to the disaffection, sense of hopelessness and no belief that there can be a worthwhile future which led so many people to vote for BREXIT. They have nothing left to lose. Their societies have been deindustrialised. There are no worthwhile jobs for them or their children. The mines were all closed and we import our coal. Our power, water, and other service industries were privatised and are mostly owned by foreign governments. Our banks were all sold off, Building Societies, too... The Crown Jewels... and (as a Scotnat) surely even you must have some chagrin about her frittering away all the north sea oil wealth, leaving us nothing at all to show for it? The jobs you suggest that UK workers should do that are now being done by immigrant workers are only there because the farcically low wages, no job security, no insurance etc make them economically viable for farmers, slave labour importers or zero hour employers to exploit. They are not living wages. In my job, I work with guys who need to do other jobs to keep a family together. The wage for my job won't let a person get even a glimpse into the property market, (thatcher's minions are busy selling all that off, too), settle down and live what used to be normal lives. Not all Britons come from a middle class background or have the necessary nous to break out of a poor start in life. So you despise them... Perhaps I'm being harsh and you're not stupid. It must be hard to recognise that the actions and deeds of someone (politician, despot or scientist) can have repercussions for a long, long time. Time can be a difficult concept to grasp. And I suppose that understanding a broader societal picture - and the frailties and dislocations in the structure of the current UK society- is too big an ask for a self-styled, so-called scientist. Which is why you so often resort to your twattery. Sad and superficial.
  2. You're thinking of the heterosexual community, now. Wistfully, probably...
  3. The Lincoln ground's a tidy wee thing. I watched a match there a year or so back. The Lincoln team are not so tidy... Even SHellic could beat them. Probably. Over two legs.
  4. Being more precise about it, Cameron'll be missed... like the IRA missed Thatcher at Brighton.
  5. You certainly post frantically in the manner of someone who is very gullible. you seem now to be very happy to swallow a completely different set of Tory propaganda bollox and parrot it on here, as if it's credible. the sky may not yet have fallen, but the short term economic blue skies forecast (by those who offered the vote that got us into this shitheap)appear to be less than cloud-free no doubt you'll offer yet another definitive explanation tomorrow. or even later today?
  6. It was The Stones. You've leanred nothing from The Spice Girls, despite being a big one... oaksoft is no less tedious an alias than antrin. What's your problem, other than twattery?
  7. OFFICIAL PIT KICKER would be much more macho.
  8. f**kin idiot. what would you prefer? ballet pump? Sandal? Thong? at least you're honest about your twattery being real
  9. They are ALL Tory basturts - members of the party, whose in-fighting has brought us into this current car-crash. I can find little pleasure in their machinations. i despair of them even trying to fix this.
  10. Fine. Don't get upset with me for not treating you seriously.. Wet blanket!
  11. So why do you keep waffling on about it, if it's as tangible and realisable a concept as a Supreme Being? snlt is making a sound point. independence may well be a good and necessary goal for Scots, and perhaps not without pain, but it should be an independence worth suffering for - not just a different vassalage.... such as it would be under the jackboot of the EU that screwed Greece, Portugal, Spain and Eire.
  12. It isnae. i'm sure you're sunk for fares.
  13. Politics - governing a nation - is all about Bread and Circuses. Nicola is just ignoring the Bread bit.
  14. I liked the cut of County's Arquin's jib. Turns out he wisnae worth a shout.
  15. Best news for weeks. Johnson's a f**kin tool.
  16. Gove would be fun. working class oik-Jock not fit to be a Bullingdon boy... ...with Lady Macbeth journo-wife urging him on. Gove, like Boris - another journalist - not as bright as he imagines himself. but a jock PM? That would please the SNP separatists, at least.
  17. Ironic - as my post was a placid comment on your hysteria-laden posting style. There was zero effort to engage.
  18. f**kin idiot. legal experts can't give any certainties to ANYONE. About ANYTHING other than death... And occasionally taxes. There are no certainties to the art of living.
  19. Wow. i was sceptical about the various Project Fears. But.... here's evidence that there ARE some mugs easily taken in by all the bollox. mind how you cross the street! put on a woolly jumper! don't let the bugs bite! will the sun rise tomorrow? FFS
  20. Only 7-1 last year. THAT was a wasted fiver... ETA William Hill is offering 14-1
  21. And Grandpas - ya sexist basturt!
  22. Shame that you can't get excited either way. You should have looked back when you dropped your balls. They were there for a reason. (that explains a lot, though)
