  1. Sadly I'm still stuck with staffing problems this weekend and can't get of work so 4299 if you included me in the crowd. This is a crucial game and the sons have been capable of scraping out results against the big teams. I suspect following our recent form Aitken and Durrant will have some form of specialised plan to deal with our sizzling saints. They will expect us to come racing out all guns blazing and it could prove frustrating if it doesn't go our way. Last week according to BBC stats we had eight shots with six on target and we scored all six. Some other weeks we can have ten plus shots and hit nothing. I hope our marksmen have their eye goal again and JR's plan stays on track. It could be a nervous day if we don't score early. So I am deliberately being cautious on this one. Keep Calm and Don't get carried away is how I'm going to play it. Feck it 3-0 saints Stelios, Mallon and Smith. Wee Durrant greetin cause Pedro won't make him Rangers 4th manager after his team got pumped
  2. Shattered rib cage, maybe even a ruptured windpipe. 27 blood transfusions needed. Cairney's buses obviously at fault. Couldn't have hurt that much though because Stelios was rolling around holding his head. Maybe he was thinking feck "I should have cleared that" and was merely holding his head in dismay. 40mph what happened to 30mph in a built up area. Look left and all that Super Stelios
  3. Stelios is my top man. I think his commitment is evident. That aside he was a bit theatrical after he went down. There was no way he could have stayed up but the hands on the face malarkey was OTT. He would be in my starting team every week though. Like you I'm a big fan. Super Stelios
  4. TOP DEFINITION wind-up Mainly virtual Westbank. (v) To use information (true or fictional) to provoke, tease or deceive. (v) To invent with the intent of conning. (n)A deceptive or provocative act. A "Wind-up merchant" is somebody who is disposed to wind others up, a or prankster. Origin: from the act of winding a clock or other clockwork device. Stelios tried to wind up the referee. Didnae work. O'Brien didnae clear the ba. feck knows what he was doing?
  5. Feck, that's a bit harsh. The poor boy probably still has night mares about that one. Feck so do I! Go easy on the boy FFS
  6. If we can't get the paisley drum because it's stashed full of buckfast, dope and a bottle of lucozade how about we just get this lot in. I'm sure we used to let pipe bands into football grounds in the past. I wonder how much lucozade they managed to get past the stewards.
  7. Baird has played well and Big Gary took his goal well yesterday too. Since Davis has been sidelined, at recent matches, I've been a bit prone to saying, tongue in cheek, Ether "Big Harry would have scored that" or "Big Harry would have cleared that". Well Done McKenzie and Baird. Big Harry ain't available and you're stepping up to the plate. Good effort boys and that ain't tongue in cheek. Who needs Steve McQueen and Charles Bronson when you've got Baird and McKenzie.
  8. That would be my preferred option too but I'm only a cnut in a scarf. It can't be that easy. Can it? Football manager champion
  9. Makes sense. Maybe that was a good thing because it let Stelios back in
  10. With Morgan being out, next week’s formation will be interesting. Irvine wasn’t even in the squad this week. Was he injured? After Morgan went off JR seemed to opt for a 4-4-2 bringing on Sutton. Will that be his preferred option next week meaning he could just bring in Todd to replace Morgan? That would presumably leave us a bit unbalanced and Jack is hinting that Stelios may be moved up suggesting Irvine may be back and presumably Sutton would be a non-starter leaving Loy alone up front. Dumbarton will be no push over ask Hibs and Falkirk as they have taken points at both these grounds and they have Beaten both us and Morton this season. It will be an interesting challenge for JR but I’m sure he will rise to it. Lets see stelly move up the park Super Stelios
  11. I concur. Fantastic Turn of phrase so much more eloquent than cheating. I thought he did make a bit of a meal of it with the hands on his face routine after being clearly forearmed across the chest and his theatrics contributed to O'Brien losing concentration and conceding the goal. Trying to con the ref is one thing but conning your own keeper wasn't a great move. He'll learn (Maybe) Stelios is still my Top Man.
  12. Wasn’t at the game but just watched the highlights on Youtube. We looked like world beaters at times. I thought McGinn and Stelios linked up well. The players shooting skills were excellent What a goal from Kyle Magennis it was absolute perfection from such a tight angle. Big McKenzie bulleted that header from a great Mallan free kick and St Mirren were just sublime. As far as the Ayr Goals go,big Fecking Cairney looked like he’d eaten more than his fair share of pies but he essentially scored both. Where that display of nimbleness came from to dance around the St Mirren Defence and slot that one in is a mystery but the defence were basically watching the ref after he pole-axed Stelios when Ayr scored the second. If Stelios hadn’t made such a meal of it maybe O’Brien would have been concentrating on the ball instead of the foul. It was a definite foul though. I think the foul on Morgan looked 50/50 and the news that it’s not as bad as first thought is good. It’ll be interesting to see what formation Jack puts out for the Dumbarton game. On the psychological side of things, I see McCall is beginning to crack. He fears the worst and told the BBC. "I'm not under pressure in the slightest. If the worst comes to the worst and it happens, the chairman knows I took us up last year. That's the very last thing in my mind." Come on the Saints we need to keep our foot on the gas. The great escape is definitely on. We just need to keep the heid. I think we're staying up
  13. Looking good. It's quiet in here today. Everyone except me must be at the game.
  14. Stuck at work. Busy day but Tuned into St Mirren Radio. Come on ye saints. Just heard the St Mirren Panda is on and Buddie the badger is a non Starter. C'moan the panda
  15. hopefully they'll gain independence from the championship then and go it alone in Div 1.
  16. Both managers here are an absolute disgrace. They should both receive the maximum punishment the SFA can inflict. It was so outrageous even Sky News want to show it. Throw the book at them. Couple of fecking school kids. That is not the example to set. It was good TV though and the interviews were priceless. As Jack and Victor would say "Couple o Fannies"
  17. And here was me thinking I was the only straight guy in the village.
  18. Because of the Easter Holidays and having to cover for staff I'll miss the next few games due to work but hopefully there'll be a big support and the saints will do us proud. The next two games look on paper to be our best option for points. After that we have the top four teams to play with a Raith Rovers match sandwiched in near the end. It's going to be tight but hopefully it will all go our way. The Dundee Utd game will probably be the next match I can attend but until then I'll be there in spirit. COYS
  19. St Mirren were shite under Alec Rae. The players weren't playing for him. St Mirren were shite when Jack Ross took over. The players weren't playing for him. JR cleaned out the players who couldn't play for him and replaced them. St Mirren are no longer shite. We are still bottom but the players are showing signs of fight and are part of The JR improvement scheme. Will it be enough to keep us up. I hope so but it's football. Magic wands are for Harry Potter movies. We need a man with a plan and a message players who want to play will listen too. To me JR Looks like that man.
  20. The doctor might not write you off. Maybe he's noticed a big improvement since late January.
  21. Goal! Posted at23' Goal! Dundee United 1, Ayr United 0. Simon Murray (Dundee United) right footed shot from a difficult angle on the left to the bottom right corner.
  22. On way back. Not so good now. On route to Edinburgh. Feeling the affects of non temperance.
  23. On Edinburgh train. Black coffee and bottled water shull. We're on our way.
