It’s interesting when you look at the line up today that only 2 Jack Ross outfield signings are starting. And 1 of them was signed this season while the other was on the bench in the second half of last season. Shows the degree of rebuilding that Stubbs had been left with before he was shockingly sacked. Note that Smith still on the bench. There was absolute outrage and meltdown on this forum when Stubbs first dropped him! Now it’s apparently OK! Look at a different sport, like running. Kenya leads the way by a country mile. Yet, despite not having sports scientists, facilities or in many cases, even any proper gear, they wipe the floor with countries like the US, who have all the sports scientists at their disposal. Indeed, when many promising Kenyan runners move to the US to benefit from all the gear, facilities and sports scientists, they go backwards! St Mirren do not need a sports scientist. Waste of money.

Not sure how charging folk that can afford to pay prescriptions £8 odd is stopping them receiving the drugs they need when sick. Not sure what freezing council tax has got to do with forcing councils to apply financial controls. And asking those who will benefit the most from further education to treat that education as their own investment by taking out loans that are only repayable when they are earning good money seems fair enough to me. Why would the period have any impact? Increased gate, prize, TV and sponsorship money happens immediately upon promotion. The period that you've already been in the top flight makes no difference to this! None of our top flight rivals save any income from previous seasons. Indeed, for most, its the opposite. They get into bigger debt the longer they are in the top flight!

The reason your point was failing is because its wrong! You don't need to survive for a year or two in order to benefit from increased gate, prize, TV and sponsorship money. All of that happens immediately upon promotion and can be factored into the budget right from the start!
