  1. Never bite the hand that feeds. Very Honourable !!
  2. I never inferred that it was “Kibble bad” I’m more concerned that a building warrant was lodged for a NEW 120m2 building at a perceived value of £80k then turns in to a £400k + build Other posters are correct in flagging up that Kibble have ZERO experience in project management and at the time there was an incumbent Director that used to run a construction company. Theoretically is SMFC received a Tender from Renderworks then went into Contract on the £80k then that should have been the price of the works irrespective of material, labour shortages, material cost increases, Brexit, Covid, Ukraine, ETC ETC. UNLESS the club made variations to the contract. This is where the PM role kicks in an advises the Client on the Cause and Effect of the variations. To go from £80k to £400k+ sounds more than a legacy issue. It sounds like. Project was procured by people who don’t know what they are doing and are happy to spend money they have no accountability for.
  3. That is a rather incestuous relationship if ever i saw one. The project was over budget and late and the Project Management has to take some level of responsibility for that. Who told the club that they could build a single storey 120m2 building for £80k. Even back in 2021/22 a single storey Portakabin half that size could not be bought for under a £100k excluding the fitout, utilities and the external works. By some of the later posts it sounds like the project was not planned properly nor was it executed with any level of control. The club even had to apply for a retrospective planning application. A good Project Manager would have advised that Planning should have been applied for prior to commencing works and that it is against the law in Scotland to commence building works without a Warrant. To do so can come with a Level 5 fine on the Standard Scale, which is now unlimited (previously it’s was capped at £5k) When was the warrant granted and when did the works commence ??
  4. The problem is that home bred strikers need time to develop before you get the return and that’s a risk. Look at the “shit” strikers we have let go Shankland, Stewart and Iwelumo who all went on to have international careers
  5. Bazil I’m with you on this. Kibble bashing is not on. Imagine any fan having the audacity in questioning a freebie from the Kibble. The kibble are here to help the club. They project managed (for free i hasten to add) a £80k refurb with an over spend of £400k. That freebie saved the club circa £20k on professional fees. The pm team kept a tight reign on the control of that £80k budget. It could have been financially worse for the club without that valued input. Imagine if the Kibble Project Management team had not gone for one of their trusted supply chain contractors like , Kibbleworks. Sorry Renderworks and awarded the job to a reputable builder who had a track record of doing this type of work and making bigger claims. Do the Kibble PM team have any experience in project managing the build of 2 new ferries. (Asking for a friend) I also agree Mr Wardrop was a bit salty. Also a bit gullible. Imagine expecting a fellow Director of the business they both represent declaring a conflict of interest on the land when the other company pays his wages. Dohhhh. You have got to know what side your bread is buttered. Also why tell the SMFC board that the Kibble were already at advanced stages on the land when you can find out information for your employer and help advance your career. Are Kibble now branching out in the espionage world and suppling trained agents to MI5 sorry MFI. Also do the Kibble have any trained plumbers. If so could they fix the leaks that are coming from the SMFC boardroom around where the Kibble guys sit. Bloody Gordon Scott he was in charge of the build.
  6. As this topic was started as “More Redundncies” then based on the accounts there should be more Management and admin at the club increased from 38 to 75 in the accounts. Who are these people and what are they doing There is a significant sum of money associated with this increase in staff.
  7. Pedantic !! 1. Clique had 52% other 48% made up of GLS + share issues holder of circa 20% (I don’t know the exact number, neither do you, however i can go back and check) 2. Story in the paper must be true then. Worth also noting in the story that the Clique also snubbed fan ownership at the same time. (I presume you fact checked the paper story) 3. Pass. SMISA changed the deal to give GLS his money back 5 years earlier and GLS had nothing to do with it ?????? OKAY (you obviously know the inner circles) 4. The 70% was from a poster earlier in the thread. (I see that LPM has now posted as another alias called Guest.) Point is that had SMISA bought the shares from the Clique 12 years ago they would have had 51/52 % of the shares, as they have now, not the 70/78% as is being the wishful thinking scenario. SMISA would also have had to contend with a shareholder with CIRCA 22% shares in the form of GLS/Kibble/Another/Another(s) That did not happen because the 52% shareholders did not want fan ownership. They preferred selling out to a mythical sugar daddy
  8. Summary of the events 1. Clique join together to sell their collective 52% of the shares to anyone who had the cash (deliberately omit GLS and other shareholders who hold 20% of shares) 2. Alleged deals with Argentinians, Italians, Americans bla bla fall through 3. Clique fail to sell club after a period of circa 6-7 years 4. Deal is brokered for GLS+SMISA to buy the 52% shares over a 10 year period 5. GLS changes the deal to sell SMISA the Cliques shares earlier that anticipated and sell his shares to the Kibble (with SMISA agreement) 6. Campaign run for election on the back of returning SMISA stake to 70% and rid us of the Kibble FACT: The Clique were never selling 70% of the shares. If they had brought GLS in to the fold then the Kibble would not have been at the table. Ironically the Kibble are here due to the manner that the original shares were sold.
  9. You are being disingenuous to the many other fans who put their money in their pocket at the time to participate in the share issue. Collectively they purchased more shares than the messiah. Those shares were then sold to SMISA, funded by the fans.
  10. Its astonishing how long you can dine out on something. Sell up on the back of it, then come back for the crumbs. It’s also astonishing how the events/history of the share issue around the Reg Brealey era can be rewritten. The share issue of that time was not embraced by as many St Mirren fans as had hoped. (Read the accounts of around that timeline for proof) Someone had to underwrite the purchase of the remaining shares. Separately all these rumours of issues at the club, clashes with Kibble, financial Armageddon etc. WHERE are they coming from, WHO is spreading them and WHO benefits from them. One thing for sure the beneficiary isn’t St Mirren or SMISA
  11. Thats a bit harsh on yourself, were you not once, in a precious alias, a member of the SMISA board.
  12. Jock beg to differ. He helped to launch a share issue on the club to raise funds on the belief that we were being sold to a shady character. Hundreds of other people, along with SGG, bought shares at the same time. Following the share issue SGG started to acquire shares from the existing largest shareholders to increase his personal shares in the company. All the names of those shareholders are on Companies House along with the number of shares they purchased.
  13. I would imagine that SGG magic wand is for SMISA to go back to the members and get them to backroll the purchase of the Kibble shares. But SGG made promises in his election statement lets see if he delivers those on the back of his 4th place election placing
  14. LPM you should have written that as Yul B and then it would have been as funny as you intended that to be
  15. Good Lord. It’s a pity you have an obsession with Dick..son
  16. If you read my previous threads you will gather where i sit on that
  17. There are obviously issues going on in the background. All of the resignations maybe a coincidence. However I don’t believe in coincidences. There is a fine line of what these issues are and what concern they are to the day to day fan. (Your list on success is also subjective) Football Clubs are unique to any other business. Fans like to think they should be notified of everything that goes on in club, probably even down to the colour of the toilet paper. The realty is the running of the club should be left to the Directors and the employed personnel. The point i was making, before you deflected it in to the usual Bazil propaganda,, SMISA board and the Club need new directors they need to ensure the correct personnel are selected.
  18. That is subjective. However lets not get in to a debate on that The Club and SMISA are at an important crossroad on the future of how they will be governed and by whom The club is a business, as is SMISA to an extent, as a business they need governance and direction by people who will always act in the best interest of that respective business and no other. With that in mind of us being fans owned we need competent people in charge. IF we don’t have that competence within the SMISA membership then we need to recruit elsewhere. SMISA has a significant number of competent people in their membership. Unfortunately they appear to have no desire to put themselves forward for scrutiny. The recruitment of SMISA board members needs to evolve. If not it will become like a golf club committee. Your willingness to be a Director/Board Member is not the threshold as the competence to be one. That is an important point especially with the current SMISA elections
  19. NES i did not call the clique charlatans. I inferred that their objectives were questionable. When the clique sold their shares they did so for their own interest and no one else’s certainly not the clubs. The created a clique of 51% to exclude all the other shareholders. That premeditated scenario made all of the other shares worthless. It was a deliberate scenario to exclude the likes of GLS. Remember some of those remaining 49% of shareholders put their money in shares at the same time as the clique yet were not given the opportunity to cash them in. Now they have their money back, funded by the fans, the self proclaimed leader wants back to the table for £12/month. In his statement he gives an ironic yet patronising statement on respect for fans ownership. Then goes on to infer that SMISA don’t know what they are doing, the clubs in trouble and he will sort out the Kibble. If the rumours are true about the negative influence of Kibble on the running of SMFC, then these Directors need reminded about Company Law in that a Director must act at all times in the best interest of that Company and not be influenced by outside parties and must declare a conflict of interest. There are other capable SMFC Directors on the board to point this out other than the need for the Superhero SGG to take us back 20 years
  20. Out of court settlement was my thinking on this. However no employment solicitor is going to advise paying the “possible” £30k for any Unfair Dismissal Case. They are going to try it in the court and take a chance rather than pay that level of money Unless of course the club have discriminated on any of the 9 protected characteristics, only then are they likely to have paid out the money to keep it hush. There would also be a non disclosure agreement attached to the condition on payment. On the basis that it is being talk about on here would suggest its either bullshit or someone is possibly in breach of an out of court settlement.
  21. Agree. I can always rely on you to offer the middle ground on all of these debates. 😂
  22. SGG comments that SMISA have spent too much time trying to increase membership. Well SGG being a Director is a sure way of potentially reducing that membership Ironic that SMISA membership surged way back on the sales pitch to the fans to put their money in to get rid of SGG and his clique. Now that they have cashed their chips in they want back. This time freewheeling on the coattails of the fans cash not their own. His statement infers that he sold his shares to SMISA to save us from the Argentinians, Italians one the yanks. What utter bullshit. He did not want to sell to GLS, or SMISA. If he had any intention of selling to the fans he would have done that they day he decided to back stab the other directors and created is unique clique. If he really wants to deal with Kibble then he should put his hand in his pocket and buy their shares then he can sit back at the table. SMISA this is a backwards step that will have an impact on membership, control as well as being contradictory to the being of SMISA
  23. SMISA are approaching the recruitment for new Directors all of the wrong way. I get the sentiments of wanting people to come forward and put themselves up for a vote as this is perceived that they care and will bring ideas to the table SMISA have a list of members and presumably some background to their occupations. Why not hang up the ego and approach some of these members through a recruitment drive to be a Director of SMISA or be on the committee. It is evident that SMISA needs a change of direction, it needs new leaders with new ideas. If there are no suitable candidates within the membership then go outside and get the required experience of Non-Exec Directors that are on the board to represent the Club and SMISA. SMISA is at a stage in i its evolution where it needs to stand and make a mark. We are beyond raising money for towels. They need to ensure that the people on the Board have the decorum ability to listen, challenge and debate decisions that are getting made for the Club. Do the current candidates have the required skill set of where SMISA is at the moment.
