  1. If the team were working then having one lightweight player who can create wouldn't be a problem. Dorman was a f**king pansy when it came to it.
  2. A fluke 3 goals vs Motherwell, lucky to stay up by a goal and losing to 9 man Rangers in the CIS Cup Final. Yeah, Gus was f**king great. We all battered on about his inability to get someone who was fit, about bringing in duds and about failing to get a left sided player. DL has tackled some of that, but to do all of it he'd have needed to clear out the entire team and really didn't have the time to do so. I'm sure he's well aware he's inexperienced, but he's being let down by a whole series of players who should know better. Dargo isn't fit, Higdon isn't fit and Barron has been out so you can remove them from blame for now. Every other Gus signing left at the club has f**ked up so far this season. I doubt DL thought Brady would be such a lazy shit, you can also imagine that Brady would have been trying pre-season as he knew no other SPL contract was out there waiting for him. SG mentions a small cut in the budget, but it must have been torn to shreds so as to remove the 300K deficit. We lost Dorman, McGowan is pretty much supposed to be the replacement for him. We also lost Mehmet, you could argue Wardlaw is supposed to be a replacement and let's be honest Mehmet couldn't have done much more with the service this season. Urine Tankard should be a direct replacement for not having a left back, Hegarty at least has a left foot instead of Brady or Murray in there, Thomson is injured, Murray is obviously struggling and shouldn't be out there, Lynch is really just a squad signing and McQuade/McCluskey should at least offer something on the right. There's a lot of ifs, but just as many as with Gus really...just that at the moment a lot of the cracks Gus papered over appear to have finally turned into huge holes.

  5. It's not 20 really though, I have some personal baggage for hating Greenock itself but I just genuinely don't feel that much hatred atall for Morton. There's literally no reason, they're utter bloody pish and their supporters pretty much make a laughing stock of themselves season after season. They go on about a return to the SPL as if they're Triple H and does anyone actually remember their last spell in the Premier League it was a damned joke as they signed a group of Danes who were bloody useless. I'll bet some anorak out there, Stu probably , will be able to tell us which season that was but I just don't...actually, it might have been 887/88. Some of you lot weren't even born and yet Morton fans talk about it as if it was just last year.
  6. How about the undersoil heating not being done every season, but then the ground move should be in there anyway and the debt cleared obviously. It's a shame you can't change our "Dislike" of Morton to "Feel sorry for, but play along because it would be cruel not to"
  7. Look at that Spiral of Despairâ„¢ following my miss. Little did you all realise that I was missing on purpose in order to unveil the Spiral of Despairâ„¢. Expect to see it across the UK if my brother follows through with his threat to send the clip to Soccer AM. Then again, he hasn't followed through on much except the occasional fart.

Hey, I felt I sold my penalty miss brilliantly. My high speed Judo roll in the second half was utterly fantastic aswell.

Home 14! "Been quite a sobering experience in the past seeing footage of the game only to realise how slow/fat/sh*te/baldy I am" You sure that wasn't footage of your dad that you were watching?

  12. Don't think I have 5 but... 1. Faster by the Manics, Livingston Forum or whatever it was/is called 2. You Love Us.... again by the Manics, white backdrop, images of Richey. Had it not been for the 16 year olds going "What song is this? Who's the fourth guy in the videos?" it would have been number 1. 3. The End - Riders on the Storm (Doors cover band, Cathouse...way too powerful PA) 4. Jesus and the Mary Chain - No specific song 5. "Oh When the Saints" - the 80's version, pre-techno speeded up remix that the kids sing now.
  13. Aswell as Blokhin, we were also after Yevtushenko and Demianenko...if memory serves me right. There was a whole load of hoo ha about Robert Fleck at one stage. We offered Brian Reid the same deal as Rangers, if stories I heard were true. Wasn't the McInally deal scuppered because we played Aston Villa in a friendly and the Villa weren't too impressed with us either getting one of them sent off or one of us getting sent off. There was a whole load of stories about that deal falling through. I remember when we signed Torfason...Record ran a story about an un-named blonde Scandinavian hitman from Rapid Vienna and I, along with all my mates, thought "F'N HELL Jan Aage Fjortoft!!!" Fitzy was class though, he flew over a Belgian called Rudi Taeymans and then he went home after about a day saying he was homesick. He had half the Austrian World Cup team on trial, told the Polish captain he wasn't good enough, brought over a whole load of Germans and then signed Roddy Manley and Tom Black.
  14. WOW, 4 replies...I'd have thought with you being all knowledgable you could at least have worked out how to just do one reply.
  15. Chalmers regluarly hit 10 or so a season, it was an absolutel disgrace when Fitzy got rid of him. That moody bawed arse Torfason cost over £200,000 and was no better stats wise. Archibald yeah...quality at Hibs, then came to us almost looking for a holiday. Steve Kinsey....JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESUS F'N CHRIST. Recommended to us by Gordon Smith, that world reknowned pundit. Eric Sinclair, from memory, was a bit of a tottie. Peter Mackie was another one Steve Galloway, undeniable proof that Fitzy replaced our scouting system with a process that involved watching one tape of a player and then making an offer. There were so many around the Fitzy, Hay and then Bone time...it almost beggers belief. Stevie Farrell, Grant Inglis, Gavin Galloway, Jim Beattie, that arse right back Smith, Roddy Manley, Lex Baillie and the list goes on. No wonder Julian Broddle looked so good. ----- Was there ever a "ones we missed" thread? If there has been, Martin Dahlin, Pontus Kamark and Kevin McAllister must be up there. Fitzy was even in talks with Sven Goran Eriksson to make him his Assistant.
