  1. Good God HHIBSS..........Teutonic Oaf Metal at its worst. I once saw them at the Playhouse........left after 25 minutes to go and get p*shed. At least The Darkness were funny....for about 10 seconds. Anyway.....
  2. About as obvious a "review" as the "No thanks" that made up the reception of Happy Mondays crack-addled "Yes Please" LP Next you'll be calling it "Sh*t Sandwich"
  3. Excellent live album, that is a fitting testament to the "engine room" of Joyce & Rourke. "So I broke in to the palace.....with a sponge and a rusty hammer...."
  4. The best bassline I've ever heard. All hail Gary Mounfield - Fallowfield's Dub God
  5. ...................... .....................
  6. Yep. Chas'n'Dave on coke. I met Francis Rossi a few years back (at a garage in London). Told him I saw them on the 84 tour at The Apollo.... FR: "Did you enjoy the gig ?" BF: "Aye - it was magic !" FR: "Good, good.....I don't remember a f*cking thing about that tour" (Which tallies with Danny Baker recalling seeing a comatose Francis Rossi being "foot-dragged" to the dressing room/portakabin less than 1 hour before they played Selhurst Park in July 84 !!!!)
  7. Quo 1984 "Big Fat Mama" - about as far away from "The Anniversary Waltz" as it is possible to get
  8. Great stuff. Once went on holiday with a "cooper" fae Murray Srteet, who played that family friendly album to the kids in the swimming pool (unwittingly via an open windae in the "apartment"). Usually followed up by NWA "F*ck tha' Polis" (Paisley edit).
  9. Chunka-Chunka-Chunka-Chunka Brutal but magnificent. A zillion miles away from Margherita Time.
  10. Walking down Causeyside Street in the p*shing rain yesterday with Aber, en route to Provans (and no, he wasn't going to do Shull's "bidding"), when we bumped into FS. Half an hour later - Aber interview being filmed in a room above the Wallace - he's a resourceful boy is Allen Sounds like some cast list: Fitzy, Aber, Doug......and er, NSS & HSS Cannae wait to see it come out.
  11. I slated JP on this site about B&W Mag, but he had the bottle to get hold of my mobile through a mutual aquaintance, and phone me up to discuss my gripes. We agreed to disagree, but I appreciated his actions. There is no doubt that Jack is 100% B&W. As for him giving the team pelters, it hardly puts him in a minority. LS has always had more than its fair share of miserable b*stards. The only issue would be on JP "changing faces" when interviewing subjects for the mag...........but he doesn't: Gordian meets the interviewees. Saying that, Shull's original post on this thread is one of the best/most sensible that he has ever posted. Must have been a busy day in Der Vectra.
  12. Whit he said "I can still hear mah ol' hound dog barking " Have a listen to "Fortunate Son" - just as relevant today, only Iraq/Afghanistan instead of Vietnam. One of the best bands ever, and what a voice
  13. Motorhead - Bomber Leftfield - Leftism The Beautiful South - 0898 Buddy Guy - Damn Right I've Got The Blues Half-Man Half-Biscuit - Saucy Haulage Ballads
  14. Oh Gawd - you asked for it...... 5' 2" "striker" signed from the Juniors (Arthurlie ?), who was so obviously out of his depth it was frightening. Bone should have had his arse kicked for even thinking of giving him a contract. Ran around a lot in an energetic manner. he ball looked like a stranger to him. When he was teamed up front with Alex Bone, it was a defining moment as to the state of SMFC in those days. That same season saw "gems" like John Boyd and Kelechi Okiori star for the Buds
  15. Great memories !! F*cked my ankle at EEP when the 2nd went in. Ah, Eddie "The Rat" Gallagher - what a guy ! After the Killie game I was at a POTY do at Shortroods Community Centre where a pal of mine (who shall remain nameless - H*gie) got in a wee altercation with Davie Elliott I don't know how to upload to "you tube" but I have a 94/95 "highlights" video of (h) v. Dung, where our "strikeforce" was Alex Bone and Grant Inglis. Truly horrendous. Best bit is Neale Cooper's OG from 2 yards.
  16. He'd be "the best paid f*cking actor in the film"
  17. ......and Danny McGrain breaking Frank MacDougall's leg with a terrible, terrible tackle. Zico got into trouble with the SFA for having the temerity to have a go at McGrain in the press afterwards. Laughable.
  18. These two would fit in easily amongst the travelling Buds after Blackpool.........
