  1. Singing? Cut that out immediately! You'll create an atmosphere! !!
  2. We just paid 33.6k for a wheelchair accessible bus for our daycare centre. Our local community transport has two fairly new busses... neither of which have wheelchair access. I find that appalling and staggering.
  3. Because the season will be four weeks old this weekend and we are not good enough to give other clubs a head start. We should have been ready to start our season at the start of the season.
  4. Probably. I brought four of said bawsacks to the final... ain't paying for them to see a league match. Still... they did their duty and cheered us on at Hampden... and no testicles were lost in the process.
  5. Indeed... my fellow ST holding Saints fan came along initially as a reluctant non attending blue-nose because a... I treated him.... and b... he likes football. Partick Thistle are streets ahead of us and others in recruiting future security, having had free admission for under 16's for some time now.
  6. I got it thanks very much... but no way was I giving his humour a plug!
  7. I am all for expanding our support base and encouraging neutrals to attend, but I really don't think it would help the atmosphere one iota! Classic example is the cup final... I bought six tickets for two ST holders... each of us brought two neutrals. The Cup final experience was amazing and I wouldn't change it for anything... but the large number of neutrals had a nullifying affect on the volume of our support. That said... I truly am all for looking at ways of increasing our support... ... but I genuinely don't think it would affect the atmosphere positively at all... ... what it would do, is increase our funds, which is no bad thing.
  8. Last time I brought a neutral to SMP it was for a home match v hibs. I did indeed move seats so we could sit together. .. and despite the stand being half empty we were moved twice away from reserved seats. Don't get me wrong. .. with my season ticket seat, I would do the same... If the seat wasn't guaranteed, I'd just make the effort to get therebearly enough. Meantime... it ois sadly not worth the hassle. So short sighted, as potential growth for any business is referrals from existing customers!
  9. I'd love to... but we're back to the old "reserved seating" discussion agaon as there are no free ones around me!
  10. Man City did not too bad last night despite that horrible defensive lone striker system they used... 4-2-3-1 (as I advocated we use against Killie)!
  11. The drummers in the Maryhill Magyar junior choir were in danger of having their drumsticks hidden from public view in a funny-walk inducing way last week. The drums at Fir Park add to the home atmosphere buy stop away fans from singing.
  12. we might all be fine with him... but I wonder how the coaching team plan to handle him given their treatment of Carey and Imrie. Both Carey and Imrie could do a job for us... but were sent packing for non-playing issues. I can't for the life of me see Riordan being any different. So much talent going to waste... but it would take a Fergie figure to get that out of him consistently.
  13. Not disagreeing with that one iota... I totally agree. But off field disillusionment should not be projected onto the players on the park wearing our colours and representing our club.
  14. Interesting. .. it worked fine for the 8, 500 crowd at the same stadium for the Thistle v Dundee United match I attended. A while back now. . But the Falkirk v Saints match at their pad when we filled their stand was also unallocated. Brilliant atmosphere.... no trouble... no injuries.
  15. Why long and dreich? What do you realistically expect from a game trying to downsize and live within its means? I was at both matches you mention and felt both had good football for long periods and were entertaining. Lighten up and enjoy the game!
  16. Prices are the main factor without a doubt. I have no problem with standing areas, and believe they may well improve the atmosphere... but for me, I cannot get past the fact that designated reserved seating forces people to sit where they are told and stops the natural gathering of "choirs". Unreserved seating areas would be a big step towards improving the atmosphere... but somehow, people are more precious over their particular seat than improving the atmosphere for all. Make season tickets non seat-specific. Have a few areas for designated seats if you must. Encourage folks to get there early and keep seats for there mates. Choirs will naturally gather and the atmosphere will improve. It really is that simple!
