  1. Hear it goes after watching our team getting thumped 2 nil and drain away any optimism I had pre season. The oldest outfield player we had starting was Cheesy at 26. It was a game of men versus boys all over the park. I for one is all for bringing young players through god knows when Gus was in charge you never seen any but have we went with too many youngsters too soon? Early days I know but if we don't at least bring in one experienced centre half I can't see us surviving.
  2. Pre season games are all about fitness win, lose or draw but looking at squad we are covered going forward but I feel we are lacking in a no nonsense centre half to play alongside Cheesy or Plummer. I have faith in TC to identify our weaknesses which is in the central defence. So please give us a centre half in the mould of McGregor. Solid spine is key and we are nearly there except from the defence?
  3. I would fear for Kelly & Yaqub as it looks like TC might not fancy them. Welcome back Jeroen
  4. Totally agree TC has give Brian Caldwell a list of targets that he wants based on the budget. It is now up to Caldwell to secure those signings now he is back from holiday and have no problem wi TC sitting back on a short holiday and see who we sign.
  5. I was excited when he signed as he always done well against us. Never really given a chance playing off Thommo but when you are in a bad run of results you need everyone to put in the work rate off the ball which he has never done throughout his career. Is a cult hero at Oldham those fans rave about the performances when he turned it on but even they say he was inconsistent. We never paid any money to let him go as it was a mutual as he has offers on the table to sign for lower league English teams for more money and Oldham being one of them. Sometimes signings just don't work out and I wish him well in any league other than ours
  6. Are we the least active club in the league right now with transfers
  7. The banter on this forum makes me chuckle. We have talked about needing signing to Nigel Hasselbaink to politics on this thread. Pure dead gallius
  8. I would love to see wee Nigel back at the club. He was inconsistent but was a player that excited you when he received the ball and would get you sitting at the edge of your seat but I do understand he could be frustrating also. Hopefully he is slightly more consist a couple of years on
  9. McGowan and Paul McGinn signing for Dundee. Every other club in the league being active in the league that have lost a number of players. I am getting a little worried is TC on holiday
  10. Very true but we only have 3 recognised defenders at the club. I understand we have lost out on a couple of targets so far which is not something I want to continue.
  11. Am trying to fall asleep but the smell of sh*te in your car is keeping me awake.... So I will ask again are we there yet???
  12. The fixtures are out and now the build up to the start of the season starts now. With most season tickets been bought and the only position we are strong in numbers in is goalkeeper. The overall squad numbers low due to 10 players moving on with possibly more to follow. Could we have a couple of decent signings sooner rather than later as it might even encourage people who have not renewed their season tickets to do so and others who were thinking about doing it for the first time to follow suit?
  13. The fixtures are out and we have Motherwell away. Now can we get our a*se in gear and get some signings in sooner rather than later. The only position we seem to be strong in is the goalkeeping position
  14. Based on The Scotsman we are looking to bring back Tesselaar http://m.scotsman.com/sport/football/spfl-lower-divisions/rumour-mill-rangers-butcher-falkirk-1-3438569 Good signing?
  15. Maybe so but it is a question aimed at members of the forum for them to pick their best XI
  16. I always toy with the idea every year of not renewing more than ever this year mainly due to financial reasons for me and my boy. When push comes to shove I can't not do it so renewed them yesterday. Damn I hate loving this club sometimes but bring another roller coaster season on.
  17. If he was there for a longer period of time maybe and even though he could go on to be a great keeper.
  18. Danny has now gone and Tommy Craig's stewardship begins but in arguably one of our most successful periods in our history who were the best eleven over the four seasons he was in charge. I thought this would be straight forward but it really got me thinking and after much debate this is who ave plumped for. Formation: 4-4-2 GK Samson RB Van Zanten LB Dummett CB Mair CB McGregor CM Goodwin CM McGowan RW Teale LW Goncalves ST Thompson ST Higdon I would be interested if anyone agrees and what their best XI would be?
  19. If I was him I would be raging. How can he carry on after this having to be managed and coached by Teale and Goodwin. Just hope this doesn't push him out the door
  20. After SG interview last night it only furthers my suspicions as when asked what was the new managers targets he said the same as DL's. If you have a manager hitting targets set then why let him go. If it is to try and kick us on as a club then get a new management team in to do so. It has been poorly handled but I do wish the management team well of course I do but I don't agree with the appointment or how it has been handled.
  21. So if Lennon's record is poor remember Tommy Craig was a part of that so what makes you think Tommy Craig has anything better to offer. It stinks from back stabbing to cost cutting. For that reason they can slash the season tickets. Do I think they will. Not a chance.
  22. How could they have overlooked Thommo on this it is a slap in the face for a club legend.
