  1. I’m not accusing anyone of anything??? My claim was. You made a statement to which I responded to, I didn’t say you were wrong. My comment about the NYT was based on their lies on the Russian collusion hoax, Ukraine, COVID and now the “Peaceful” protests. BTW. I actually read one of the many books about Joseph Goebbels, very interesting it was too. Not because I’m some sort of sympathiser, but due to my interest in military and political history, usually as they both intertwine.
  2. From what I’ve read, the guy wearing the hat was shot by an individual from the Antifa crowd. The same crowd that’s been terrorising, looting and burning cities across America for months. It’s not like the New York Times to get a story wrong [emoji849]
  3. Totally agree. However, those two deaths that you mention, we no longer hear if it was directly or indirectly due to COVID. We’re these two unfortunates elderly? Underlying health conditions etc. Why are we not being told this information anymore.
  4. The question was regarding foreign nationals (subjects if you want to be splitting hairs) You don’t need a passport unless you intend to travel overseas. You do however require a passport to get into the UK (unless you’re crossing the channel in a dinghy or the back of truck) so I don’t see what you’re point is. So let me make my point clear once again. I don’t believe foreign nationals (students or those in on a work permit as they’re do t have residency or citizenship) Now. That’s my opinion and you have yours. We’ll leave it at that.
  5. I assume citizens from Gilbraltar with a British passport will already have the right to vote? Someone born in the USA (cue for a song) but doesn’t hold a British passport wouldn’t have a vote, because they’re not a British National. If any of my responses are incorrect then hands up. Someone on a work permit may end up making Scotland their home, and good for them. IMO, if you don’t hold a British passport you shouldn’t get a vote. Again, in my opinion. Political parties are using the “foreign citizen” route to bolster their voting figures. That was a popular ploy by labour in England where the demographics were more of the Muslim persuasion. Put up a Muslim candidate to win a seat. I’m not saying that’s what the SNP are doing, as they don’t really have competition.
  6. We obviously have a difference of opinion on this. My point being........ a foreign national could reside in Scotland (or the UK for that matter) for a period of say two years on a work permit, before heading back to for whence they came.......... but that persons vote could potentially have an impact (positive or negative) for a far longer period of time. In my opinion. If you have a British passport then you get to vote. Let me know if you’re struggling with this.
  7. Why should foreign citizens be allowed to vote? I’ve lived and worked in many countries but never had the option to vote, and rightfully so. IMO. If an individual from a foreign country that has then taken British citizenship, then yes, but not someone that’s only in the country on the back of a visa/work permit.
  8. Does that include foreign citizens being allowed a vote on Scotland’s future, but not Scots who are based overseas or even based in England?
  9. Especially when you are obese and have heart problems. [emoji849]
  10. Think he let in bad terms after declaring his undying love for SEVCO and his WATP comment. I don’t believe too many Killie fans would want him back.
  11. I didn’t think it was a red card for the tackle. Was it maybe something said during the handbags that followed?
  12. https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-france-could-be-next-on-uks-quarantine-list-but-other-countries-have-higher-infection-rates-12048589 Unless you’re an illegal on a rubber dinghy.
  13. His top is better than some of the strips we’ve had.
  14. It’ll be interesting to see how SEVCO perform without the 50,000 behind them.
  15. Anyone got any thoughts on the actual game tomorrow?
  16. I’ve heard a few reports of kids being downgraded, against the recommendations of the teachers. If this is correct then someone needs their arse felt. This is people’s futures being jeopardised.
  17. I’d be very interested in the actual figures for those unfortunates that actually died from COVID, not the figures including those that are “linked” to COVID (cold, flu, asthma, torn sock etc) that conveniently had COD as COVID on the death certificate.
  18. I tend to agree that lockdown saved lives. My wee mother is in a care home that didn’t have one case. They had dedicated staff, not those that would work between 2 or 3 homes. So I’d say lives were saved. However. I wonder how many folk have died due to not getting the hospital treatment they required, cancer patients as an example. How many people were/are effected mentally and how many suicides can be attributed to lockdown, self isolation, job loss, financial strains etc. Maybe if the pop up hospitals had actually been used then maybe some non COVID patients would still be alive if they had their hospital treatment? Just my tuppence worth.
