Changed my mind about going today pretty dodgy decision that by sounds of it. Many teams like us have got top 6 and just ended season with 5 defeats, apart from a horrible 45 minutes Hibs we have played the bigger teams off the park and we should be sitting here with more points on board. If we are in same position next Saturday at 12.25 I'll take that, since we got top 6 I've had this overwhelming feeling Trevor Carson will do a Jimmy Glass in 99th minute next week to secure European Football. Just forced myself to watch the highlights as much as defensive mistakes cost us goals again yesterday, our decision making higher up pitch costs us alot too the breakaway late in game where pass to Jamieson is 5 yards too short and then his pass to Small is too early (should have engaged the defender) and too long then Small smashes it off keepers legs from a very tight angle where if he hits a simple pass across goal like Hearts did at their first goal Main has a simple tap in. Games don't come much bigger than this first out and out 6 pointer that doesn't involve relegation for many a year. Just give us a chance please last 3 games 3 horrible starts to each match with horrendous defending. No crap defending, no var drama we can do this. 1-0 or 3-2 today. This team I hate to say it look done I'm basing that on 90 minutes v Kilmarnock and 45 today. Scoring a quick goal or getting back to 2-1 just can't see it making a difference the way defence is can't see them not scoring again. A bit disappointing that we can't sell out our allocation for this game. Kilmarnock without an away win in a year sold out 400 tickets more. Stephen Robinson has confirmed Dunne and Main are not signing new deals and are leaving for better offers. Surprisingly he says the club told him he was getting a new deal but haven't put it in front of him yet would get a move on before he joins Dunne & Main out the exit door for a better offer. It's a must not lose imo both teams could potentially struggle for points apart from this match. I don't share your opinion Hibs have improved that much recently but our defensive performance's last two games and a certain Kevin Nisbet have me worried we will "Hibs it". Hibs fans think they are shocking and will only win v us. Hibs match is a must not lose. Got to presume Celtic and Rangers will drop points got to hope it's to us and not Hibs. 7 points would be enough imo if we lose first match can see us losing all 5, the goals we have shipped last two matches have been so easy for the opposition which is strange after 2 clean sheets defend like that against Nisbet and a repeat of our defeat there earlier in season is on the cards. Nisbet was attracting interest from almost every top flight club before opting for Hibs, Akinyemi of Ayr United is in the same category will have interest from England and Scotland but would the prospect of European Football tempt him to St Mirren??? First priority is to keep Robinson and O'Hara as the downside to a wee diddy team punching above their weight is a slightly bigger diddy teams wants your manager and players and have more money. Said that a few weeks ago if he hadn't been injured think we would have got top 6 before yesterday not for his goals just his all round play. Look at the teams above us the 5 biggest teams in Scotland by an absolute mile with everyone of them having at least one 15/20 goal per season striker (Aberdeen have 2 WTF) yet we are the best of the rest with Curtis Main on 7 goals. 5th place gets us Europe and you said we can still get it. Why do you think nobody will take anything from the ugly sisters??? We have took points from both as did Motherwell yesterday and they have absolutely nothing as far as league goes to play for unlike the other 4 teams. I think your being a little harsh on the team Dundee United didn't secure top 6 for us we secured it ourselves over 33 matches. Yes, yesterday was disappointing as was losing out on 3 points but that one result won't define our season we now have a 5 match season with one aim to finish above Hibs do that and it will be an amazing season. WELL WE ONLY GONE AND FUC***G DID IT. Rodger Hannah said on Radio Clyde they did it the St Mirren way (is he a secret St Mirren fan that knows the way we operate in matches like this???) The achievement cannot be underestimated the 5 biggest clubs in Scotland in terms of everything(Stadiums, to city status to finances, to budgets all well above our level) got top 6 and wee diddy St Mirren joined them. The next 5 games could be another 5 match rollercoaster it might be (like other diddy teams that made top 6) and be 5 defeats but if it is that can't take away from what Robinson said it went from a good season to a great season getting European Football would make it an amazing season. Fixtures to be announced this week with some if not all TV selections too. According to a post on twitter one way of all Top 6 teams getting a 19/19 Home/Away split is for - St Mirren to go to Hearts a 3rd Time Hearts to go to Aberdeen a 3rd Time Aberdeen to go to Celtic a 3rd Time Rangers to Hibs a 3rd time.
