  1. Cometh the Hour, cometh the man! C'mon Stuart, what are you waiting for? Get that boilersuit off and press the pinstripe. You know all the answers. More than the rest of us put together anyway. Get it sorted. Oh sorry I got that wrong - you say there has to be an exit, otherwise democracy in the UK is f**ked - well maybe you haven't noticed it's been f**ked for the last 36 years!
  2. BuddieinEK - hold your hands up and admit it was you that made an arse of interpreting what Slapslamon posted!
  3. Weight and sea - fishing comes to mind!
  4. Aye! That's cause he is a Scottish Bellend, sorry Blend
  5. From watching the progress of the sign ups to the bid, one of the most noticeable and outstanding points to come out of the process is the number of distant supporters, and non-regular supporters, who for one reason or another, can't attend matches at all, or only on an occasional basis, and therefore don't have the chance to contribute to the club regularly through tickets, car park, hospitality, or whatever, but have now jumped at the chance to be financially involved, to secure it's future and maintain their links with the club. I know a good number will buy season tickets anyway, but it is the broader reach that this bid has tapped into so successfully, really helping to re-connect a lot of people with their club. I spent many years not being able to attend matches due to being self-employed and having to constantly work weekends to try and grow a business, and it is now good being able to attend matches, and make a contribution to buy the buds, which feels like it will help to make a difference. I actually feel that Buy the Buds will have a long-lasting positive effect on the club, and with Paisley applying for 2021 City of Culture, may well help in giving the town it's MoJo back. Once again, well done to absolutely everyone involved in organising the bid, the fans from near and far who have signed up, and to those who are thinking about it, if you love the club and the town, get on board and see St. Mirren flourish in a bright new era for the club.
  6. Apparently they are only interested in the stadium. They plan to put it in a container when it's wet and windy and cold, ship it over to the middle east ready to use when the world cup starts, and with it's in-built ready made air conditioned climate, it will be one less stadium to build. Up side is we will be Scottish Champions for 3 years between 2019 and 2022 before it goes!
  7. But Shull, we will have to because UEFA will demand they can be fixed down as seats when we go to play our European rounds in the Champions League and Europa League in 2019 and beyond!
  8. In future, just look at it as a 99 with a bite out the flake!
  9. Why Not? Each row of seats can be removed and replaced with one row of rail seats! Same number of spectators! So if you want to stand, buy your own rail seat fitted for £12/month for 120 months - hurry only 1021 available!
  10. "Que Sera, Sera" When I was just a little child I asked my mother What will I be Will I be pretty Will I be rich Here's what she said to me Que sera, sera Paisley St Mirren you"ll go to see The future is ours to be Que sera, sera When I grew up and fell in love I asked my sweetheart what lies ahead Will we have rainbows Day after day Here's what my sweetheart said Que sera, sera SMISA, Saints owners will be The future is ours you see Que sear, sera What will be, will be Now I have children of my own They ask their father What will I be Will I be handsome Will I be rich I tell them tenderly Que sera, sera You'll follow saints, just like me The future is ours you see Que sera, sera Forever St Mirren will be Que sera, sera
  11. Didn't you know, Shull only works in thousands - 1000 from the airport to Paisley, 2000 from Paisley to Glasgow, and 5000 from Paisley to Greenock! He was never good with fractions, but has always been fractious! Stop Press:- As a recently bestowed shareholder of the Famous St Mirren Football Club, from this day forth Shull's Taxi will be referred to as an Executive Limousine!
  12. Ok - just need another 250 at £2500 up front and we can have the D/debits finished by Christmas - COYS Seriously this is fantastic for the Fans, the Club and the Town and Renfrewshire - a new dawn
  13. Maybe Sir Alex would do us a low interest loan for the money ? Well done all involved in the process!
  14. Darn! The hole in your sock of course.
  15. Just get them telt! The Fans are buying the Buddies, didn't you Know? That's what's happening.
  16. I would suggest you seem to be totally mis-reading the intent in Buddiecat's post. What I take from it is that going out and engaging with the clubs and schools and other community groups to carry out activities with our club involvement, will get kids, group and community members engaged with the club, and in time, get more people developing an allegiance to St. Mirren, wearing the clubs colours, and turning away from the easy option of glory hunting with the bigot sisters, which is the case at present, or indeed not engaging with football at all. Your interpretation of Buddiecat's post is one dimensional and blinkered.
  17. Djemba………………………………………Djemba - but he only came back for his bunnet !
  18. After 6 years with no takers, don't think anybody's rushin !
  19. Must agree! Well written piece.
  20. Hire a snow-making machine on the Wednesday before the game. Sit it on the centre spot at the new Paisley 2021 Arena and crank it up real cold, straight away. Phone SFA/SPFL on Friday night to tell them there's two feet of snow in Paisley. Game called off and re-scheduled to Greyskull for a Sunday TV extravaganza. Bears have a stadium to themselves and we get half the takings. Thommo and Goody get dropped from the bench and remain in Paisley to captain the Black and the White snowball teams with 2000 in each team. Free beer in the dome afterwards. South Stand ST holders happy/ Kids happy. Everyone's a winner. Get it sorted Tony!
  21. His discipline record has improved dramatically this season - he hasn't had a yellow or red card for more than 3 months now!
