  1. We really need the 9, get those and a win at Tynecastle will see daylight between us and them with Hearts still to come to Paisley before the split. Apart from the glasgow two, Hibs in the cup and Dundee I don't really see a bad performance from us, just lacklustre ones in a few games We can do this as long as the manager can get his head round why we have fallen off so much. he talks about a small squad and injuries yet doesn't utilise Bolton and Jamieson so
  2. I had hoped we would be considering offers to let him move on in January. Being out until April means he wont get fully fit again this season and that will maybe have a knock-on in terms of the offers he might have expected to get for a PCA. His injury record is significant and he really needed to get to january fully fit to cash-in on his next move, maybe he will accept that extension now as he needs a supportive club behind him rather than the uncertainty of what the summer might hold for the out-of-contract players, expecially those with a fitness concern.
  3. due to a week of spicy food my arse is certainly smarting
  4. We need to win this one as the fakes will be looking to reverse that defeat in Paisley which marked their low-point, getting a point or better against us will be seen as proof they are going somewhere again. We should be targetting Clarke for some harsh treatment as he is a thorn in our flesh, he annoys me so much I think we should sign him at the next window. Winning on Wednesdsay would get the tails up again, Hearts are unlikely to get a win v rangers so we could be challenging for 3rd place again and beating Ross County & Motherwell after a win in Perth could see us in a match to consolidate 3rd place again at Tynecastle right before Crimbo, Happy holidays and it all starts in a soul-free trench on the outskirts of Perth this week
  5. That is not really good defending, getting the ball out to your own side and reducing pressure is the hallmark of a good defence.
  6. We are not ticking along at all just now, 3rd, 4th and fifth place are big prizes in this league and you have to seize them. You don't get there by jogging along with a bit of limp as awe are just now. We petered out after the split last season and if we had to compete to stay in the top 6 then we would not done so.
  7. What is the point of signing players like Bolton and not using him when the defence is not delivering? McMenamin took a while to get going for us and after some good performances has fallen away so I'd say that the very lively LJ should be given the chance to put Conor under pressure. Small is definitely a player and has both strength and pace, so why not use him? As for Nahmani, maybe get him some minutes on the pitch. Good to see Ryan Flynn back in the team for the fakes game I'd like to see Bolton, Fraser and Dunne across the back with McMenamin or Flynn and Small as wing-backs. Get Alex back in his best midfield position alongside O' Hara with Jamieson linking back to the midfield supporting Ayunga and Olusanya. Good players like Kiltie, Tanser, Baccus and Mandron have flattered to deceive with good-looking play that really hasn't delivered anything much for a month now. The fakes give me the fear right now, it's a bad tie to try and turn things round in. Clarke usually manages to get a goal against us and they won't be as bad as they were in Paisley a few weeks ago. That shitty hole-in-the ground stadium also seems to suck the life out of our performance there. We need to rise above the environment, the reaction they have given Levein and our really poor recent form. I thoroughly applaud the way we started the season, it was enough for me to suspect that Robinson really is a top manager and the proof of that will be in turning around this languid spell that has already run for too long.
  8. I hope Ross Stewart is back fit and scoring well soon after Christmas it would be fantastic to finally see him fulfill his potential in a Scotland shirt
  9. O worked at the tyres and can confirm that people born in the hospital in Paisley were branded interlopers when taken home by the parents
  10. The actual article you quoted from confirmed that the guy who killed gays was in the country from the age of 6 You should know that data sets which make up "known demographics" are indeed facts and while they may be interpreted in different ways they are never a safe basis for "assumption"
  11. Apologies, i meant to quote Albion Saint who is currently suffering plantars fasciitis from an uncontrolled bout of pinhead dancing.
  12. Despite claims to the contrary, the draw will be rigged with lower-league sides being paired up with league 2 teams and there will be a sprinkling of all premiership ties, maximum of 2. Any "giant-killing" (what fekkin giants?) will take place on frosty or boggy pitches in the hell-holes of Ayrshire or similar and not on a Saturday afternoon. Places I hope to avoid are Anywhere beginning with a B or a K Any team whose name starts with The Inverness & Dingwall
  13. Home against any non-spfl or league 2 club Away, definitely Raith. But only on a Saturday. Sadly there are no suitable hostelries as close to the ground as there once were. 15 minutes on the bus or train from my local so feel free to drop by.
  14. always good to get ahead of this crowd, hopefully we will cash in. Radio Scotland citing Sean Kelly for the OG.
  15. I defer to the knowedge of our physio team here, surprised but delighted to see him come straight in for a start. Is Olusanya injured, I suspect that is our best front two when available. On recent form, I'd like to see LJ get a decent run in the second half, he has been showing improvement and I think he is more direct than McMenamin so hopefully he is not far away from a starting slot.
  16. No game to be going to next week so I'm gutted to miss this one. I'll take us to win reasonably comfortably because close matches with Liv are such an unsightly scramble and when they score, expecially when they score first, it's hard to get back at them. I don't know if Ayunga is ready to play, I'd say it's the wrong match for him to come back in unless we are cruising in the last 15 minutes 2-0 or 3-0 to the saints, I think, or a very messy and hard-to-watch defeat.
  17. Just a wee mention of Ms O'Hanlon. She does her partne a hige disservice by referring to Warren as a "Dublin man" and the other guy as "the Brazillian man". Both are Dubliners who joined forces to end a murderous attack. Two strangers who took action for the good of others. Maybe she thinks the ill-advised gravy train that has been set up for Caio Benicio should stop at her door too and is willing to compromise evidence and stoke further racial discord in order to get on board? Surely though, that jumper is evidence that the police would want as it would be pertinent to further charges and show evidence of intent and malice on the part of the attacker? Just a thought.
  18. You seem to be making the massive assumption that the "non-Irish" are refugees, you can't know that. Ireland has a lot of immigation and repatriation from the so-called English-speaking world. You talk about mass stabbings in Europe, fair enough. There are few mass stabbings in the US where mass-murder is almost a pastime and that is because access to guns is so easy and many mass-murderers there seem to be targetting ethnic minorities. So maybe criminals in the refugee communities cant get access to guns so easily in Europe and maybe they'd do less stabbing if the opposite was true? And let's jut have that "controversial" point you have teased us with. No-one is going to judge you for a view any more severely than they have already. But if you think you can take the debate forward with this view then let's have it as you seem to be quite wedded to it.
  19. From the IT article you appeared to have gotten your information from "Palani, who is originally from Iraq and came to Ireland with his family when he was six years old, repeatedly insisted he was not gay despite forensic evidence showing he engaged in sexual activity with at least one victim." Hardly a failure of multiculturism or uncontrolled migration, is it? and it took me seconds to find that piece. So please, retract away to your heart's content.
  20. You should focus on the fact that a referendum in the early-mid 70s would have had a very good chance as support for independence was on the rise and the truth about the value of the offshore reserves would have swung the vote further towards "leave". Maybe not enough to secure independence at that point, yet that knowledge would have stoked support for independence given the behaviour of the Tories, who having successfully divided and conquered went on to ride a wave of support built on the money raised from oil. Successive westminster governments squandered the alternative vehicles for getting decent, but somewhat lesser, taxpayer benefit from the proceeds by dismantling BNOC and selling off BP. I am all in favour of independence, but I'd probably never have got to this point had it not been for Westminster's serial squandering and selling-off of national assets that made money for the taxpayer alongside the criminal failure to set up a national wealth fund based on the oil revenue. The money was used to prop up governments instead of securing our future and that of our children There is still enough out there to gove Scotland a decent pot to build on and my own belief is that we would see a steady migration of busineses from across the UK once Scotland was, in some form, back in the European fold.
  21. some recent games where the opposition were really up for it,hassled us for the whole match and we just didn't cope, Livi will be up to the same tactic. To be honest, we were lucky to get back into the game at Almonvale a few months ago so it will be interesting to see what the response to recent poor performances will be.
  22. With independence the opportunity for a far faster transition to Renewable energy would have gone hand-in-hand with the just transition away from oil.
