All the birds used to fall at his feet, that is, until I appeared in the school panto in feb'74, and I took over his mantle. I've still got the 'tache, inherited from him, to prove it! Now Donnie McDowell's striking partner in the 74/75 season was (I think) Alan (?) Munro. Munro was a dead ringer for someone at the time, but I can't for the life of me remember.
