Watched Murray lose out to Dimitrov yesterday.

Played, overall, very well.

Won the first 6-4, lost a close second 7-5 then lost his way a bit in the third, losing 6-2.

A tough first round opponent but that's what happens when you slip down the rankings.

Currently watching the return of Nadal.

Like Murray, a tough opponent in Thiem.

Nadal just taken the first set 7-5. :happyclapper

Nadal romped the second set 6-1, what a return against a decent opponent. :thumbs2

For a wee bit of context, Dimitrov is in the final of this tournament which had a decent group of players.

No shame in Murray losing out in three sets.

Dimitrov WINS the Brisbane Open.

Aye, maybe Murray has a chance in 3 set tournaments although his chances in the slams are next to nil.

The Australian Open starts next week.

Unfortunately with the time difference, I'll not see many games but my tip for the top, Jack Draper, goes into the tournament free from injury and has reached the final of the Adelaide Open.

Roll on next year when I can stay up late as much as I like. :thumbs2

Draper lost 1-2 in sets.

A good warm up for the Australian Open.

  • 2 weeks later...

Since losing narrowly to the eventually winner Dimitrov in Australia poor Murray has lost 5 on the trot, all to players that, frankly,  you've hardly ever heard of.

Hos response to a journalist last week, who suggested his dreadful form was harming his legacy was gutsy but words are cheap.

He needs some wins soon or his last year will be littered with poor results.

While Murray seems to be in a real bad run of form his record against the Top Three is, by far, better than any other player of his era.

He's sitting on 30 victories with the next best, Del Potro and Tsonga way behind on 17.

Aye, some tennis player and a decent person into the bargain. 👍
