Why shouldn't DL criticise the players publicly? Have we all to pretend they are doing a great job? I'd like a bit of anger, passion even about us needing to get out of this rut - the seasoned pros should be running through walls to change things. I want to see tackles flying in and players challenging for everything- forget all the messing around at the back. We're lying down to teams just now with the poor attitude by some players on the pitch.

Totally agree- found that quite difficult to watch. He doesn't look healthy at all. Doesn't have the energy even to criticise the players that are letting our club down week in and week out. Where's Tommy Craig, Stuart Gilmour? Feels as though this is just being played out till DL walks away...I want to see some anger from St Mirren at the predicament we're in, whether its the players on the park, chairman or management team- instead all we get are the media questioning how long DL has left and these sad interviews, where he says how unlucky we are...

Thought Harkins was poor today and McGowan, for someone we seemed to fight so hard to keep. Mcausland and macgregor did well but think everyone in the stadium nervous whenever Goodwin was on the ball- free kicks were awful. Newton looked terrified to shoot. Heard Tommy Craig arguing with fans again - he needs to understand how real people feel. Then DL on radio saying we 'soldier' on- I'd rather he said it was unacceptable and he was angry and players would lose their places. Feel there's not enough communicated to the fans and we're just cling to the next match hoping for a positive. Loved the half time players though!

Strange it's in the local Newcastle paper and rumour surfacing on Sky..

This thread is disrespectful when he's still our manager- unless St Mirren are saying otherwise. Be careful what you wish for though- I don't want another young manager, ie Paul Hartley, replacing him...

Surprised at the fans? I was actually, even when we're winning some idiots in the family stand are shouting abuse.

What happened to getting behind the team today? I'm surrounded my moaning 'fans' in the family stand, booing the players- all thinking they're experts- they're ruining the game, which is bad enough- it's almost as though some people want us to lose today.

Are people seriously thinking the Board of Directors are going to spend money to get rid of our manager when they wouldn't give him any money for players?

Don't know if we can wait another month the way Hearts are coming after us... Something has to change - maybe we'll get new players before the end of the window.. The current squad are accountable too- as is the background team and Board of Directors. We put out money into the club- where's it going?

Find that hard to believe with everything on offer at St Mirren- more inclined to think its about money. Too easy to blame one person- he's meant to have an entire team behind him.

What about the Board's blame in all of this? How do we know DL has been given any money to spend in the first place? Remember him saying there were a few players he wanted way back in May...until someone from the club actually communicates with the fans about what is happening we're none the wiser and will continue to slate the manager who I'm beginning to think is an easy target for the board to hide behind.

Totally agree- feels all attention has been on loan deals at the expense of focusing on players that are ready to come now. If you identify targets for the Board to sign in May, why are we relying (and feels like begging) 2 players to come on loan once the season starts?

Sounds like we were beaten by more than a dodgy penalty. Well done to those who went today- long road back. Surely BoD will see now that we need to get players in quickly or this will be the story every week. What's worrying is the players didn't seem to be up for it.
