  1. Figures out yesterday show that the UK debt has risen and that the deficit is the second worst of the world's major enconomies, second only behind Japan. The UK government haven't really cut back spending at all...
  2. On the flip side, it was Jardine's actions, along with Fat Salary, that ensured that fans of the other clubs put enough pressure on their boards to put Sevco in the Third Division. Without Sandy Jardine's rabble rousing, the new club may well have gone straight into the SPL.
  3. While I agree that this is a very serious offence and should be dealt with severely - based on the fact that Rangers (now deceased) got away with more than a decades worth of cheating on a scale which has probably never been seen in the sporting world, ever - then I can't see how they can do much to Killie. The precedent set by the Rangers scandal means that there is no law any more and clubs can now do whatever they like with regards to registering players.
  4. And it needs to be remembered that with Rangers & effectively Hearts out of the equation then 11th spot is effectively 13th spot on a like for like comparison with pre 2012 days... Last season was our lowest non Old Firm clubs top flight league finish in 40 years!
  5. We sacked the previous manager despite him twice getting us out of the First Division, established in the SPL, getting us to our highest league finish in 2 decades, first cup final in 23 years, first Scottish Cup Semi Final in 22 years, first wins over Rangers & Celtic in 2 decades, biggest win over Celtic in over 100 years, etc, etc... and all from a starting position of a third successive battle against relegation to the Second Division, £3 million debt, no training facilities and a shit youth system. The hypocritical Gus hating knicker wetters set the criteria. Based on that criteria then Danny Lennon can certainly be sacked.
  6. Stephen McGinn, its great to see another product of Gus Macpherson's ability to spot quality young players and bring them on. The youth system at St. Mirren were going to get shot of McGinn because they didn't rate him. Luckily, Gus stepped in and gave him a full time contract. Had Gus not done that we'd probably have lost young John as well. The number of quality players who got their chance as youngsters with Gus is amazing. Charlie Adam, Kirk Broadfoot, John Sutton, Scott Cuthbert, Graham Carey, etc, etc. Considering the dearth of talent produced by the dreadful Saints youth system and their gang of wee boy coaches, its quite amazing!
  7. Hopefully Steven Thompson will be Saints manager next season
  8. Yes, SPS was at the game. You weren't. SPS is a real Saints fans. You ain't.
  9. Considering how power in the Labour Party at Westminster was dominated by Scots during their years in power and how they brought the UK economy to its knees, I would agree with you. Anyone with at least half a brain will be voting no. I guess you'll be voting yes! Clown!
  10. In amongst all the posts, Lochwinnoch Saint's meltdown is hilarious!
  11. Craig Brewster did a great job as player / manager at Inverness. Indeed they were far more successful when he played than when he didn't. Brewster was found out as a manager once he stopped playing! I also remember Kenny Dalglish winning the double with Liverpool as player / manager. It can be done.
  12. I don't believe that Danny Lennon has ever really been in charge. Jenkins was the "brains" in season 1 and its been Tommy Craig ever since.
  13. 2-0 win for Motherwell. We have the players, unfortunately the clueless management team will let us down again.
  14. The manager of the club has absolutely no involvement with the youth system at St. Mirren - and quite rightly so. And the record of youth players reaching the first team has been diabolical over the years!
  15. Not sure why folk would want Owen Coyle appointed. He had the biggest wage budget in the First Division in season 05/06 yet Gus Macpherson beat him to the title despite only having the 5th biggest budget!
  16. er, but the reason we got rid of the previous manager was because the fans were demainding progression! Danny Lennon inherited a club which had just finished in its highest league position in 2 decades, had just reached its first major cup final in 23 years, had just recorded its biggest ever defeat on Celtic in over 100 years and which had no debt a brand new training facilities. If the mere objective was to keep us up then what was the point in getting shot of Gus? The hypocracy, backtracking and re-writing of history on this forum is breathtaking!
  17. What a joke. The happy clappers really should hang their heads in shame. I can't see Lennon surviving this. The BoD will surely act this week and get shot of him and Craig.
  18. You agree that you are a clown? I'm sure most folk on this forum do also!
  19. ^^^^^ clapping all the way to the First Division Hang your head in shame faraway. Its because of the likes of you that we'll be in the First Division next season.
  20. booooooooo! The idiot should be sacked immediately after the game. The happy clappers have spent the past 2 weeks abusing everyone who dared speak a bad word about the manager. They should now hang their heads in shame. Abusing fellow buds and clapping us all the way to the First Division.
  21. er, but Tesco & Asda don't have head offices in Scotland! How can they close down a head office in Scotland which doesn't exist?
  22. : That just about sums you up! I played in the same team as Paul Lambert and everyone could see he was destined for stardom. Only someone who doesn't have a clue wouldn't have rated Paul Lambert. I guess that leads us back to your post.
  23. I would bracket Dundee along with Dundee United in terms of size of club, at least in potential anyway. The difference between the 2 clubs over the past 40 years has been that United have been run brilliantly, had an incredible manager in Jim McLean and established a fantastic youth system that has provided them with many great players and huge transfer income while Dundee have done the complete opposite! I expect Dundee to come back eventually!
