  1. I think the factor was, Rogers is on loan til the end of the season, and Aberdeen don't want him back, and Lyness,s contract has run out. So we can just say bye bye. Won't be surprised if we sign Lynass as back up next season
  2. Looks like OK, s starting point is putting a big strong spine in the team, big keeper, big centre half, big Central midfielder and a big striker to come. Might have a chance of winning a highball with that kick off we have Ben persevering with.
  3. I think Jackson will do well chasing flicks from a tall player, especially if he can develop an understanding and read where the flick ons will be.
  4. Camara, a few years back after the Ian Harte deal fell through, or am I getting my African countries mixed up?
  5. If we can get this dude, and others we have been linked with,( chezch keeper, lyons and Polworth) , along with a left back and we can keep Ferdinand, we have a right good chance of staying up. Very happy at the way our squad is shaping up.
  6. Decent enough player, who I liked and would have kept as an option on the bench, but at the end of the season he is free to go, so a nominal fee and his wage, will allow us to get a decent player in, who can fit into a system that the manager wants to play, so I'm reasonably okay with the deal. Also pleased we never sold him to a rival.
  7. Me too, if only we decided that was the way to go as soon as Ross departed to Sunderland
  8. Quite happy with how we are signing and are linked with players at a decent age, and with a decent level of experience, and who fit into a shape the manager wants us to play. A left back and a left sided attacker, as well as the players already linked with us will be nice. We, re starting to look like a team players will want to be part of.
  9. Maybe an unsuccessful loan spell might be the kick up the arse he needs.
  10. Would be a superb signing, quite possible too as Inverness are looking to reduce their wage bill. Quite happy with the players we are being linked with, certainly ticking the boxes of what we need. Getting the first couple of players I think is hardest. Hopefully more to come and Ferdinand wants to stay.
  11. Like the bit where he says "we, ve got the squad to hit the ground running", hoping he knows who else we are signing. Excellent signing, a bit of height and muscle, and he can hit a great free kick.
  12. If we sign Ernie Hunt, we need to sign Willie Carr.
  13. Smart move, improves Hibs chances of beating Sevco in their league encounters.
  14. We, re needing a gold old fashioned 3pm press conference tomorrow, and a nice photo of our five new signings.
  15. That doesn't sound so good. Wonder if we will be getting a few players in on 18 month contracts, so we can maybe start to build a team.
  16. So worth us keeping until the end of the season at least. Unless we have something lined up
  17. There's a wee clip of him on Falkirk TV scoring a hat trick, no doubt that will be doing the rounds
  18. Trying to understand this. Two of the starting eleven are away, Jones, Ferdinand and Lynass we are unsure about, are you suggesting two of them are staying?
  19. Always like the option of a couple of big guys in the team to chuck up front and hit high balls too, as a plan B. A bit of kitchen sink football is quite watchable every now and then
  20. Probably our best ever loan signing, based on the goals he scored and the impact he had on the club at the time. And I had forgotten about him.
  21. I'm the optamist, coming to us he will be guaranteed a starting place each week, and will have a great opportunity to discover his best form. Is that guaranteed at Sunderland.
  22. I do that on a regular basis, monitering Goodies progress, he seems to be doing rather well.
  23. I reckon McCulloch would probably be our best on loan keeper, which added to the ten outfield players you suggested would make a pretty impressive team.
