  1. Irony. Another concept you fail to grasp but which, unwittingly, accompanies almost all of your posts.
  2. No shit Sherlock. Wow. Amazing analysis there.
  3. Try going to a game to relieve the boredom. They might let you in at the under 12 rate in the family stand if money is an issue.
  4. Saturdays are the most common days for St Mirren to play their matches and there is free parking available around the ground. Thought you should know in case you ever think of attending a game.
  5. Clearly a lot more than you. Again your limitations are exposed. I already said that he would not be my favourite. But.. He comes a cross well in the media, works the levers of capitalism well and has made a considerable fortune. Rightly or wrongly, he attributes his success to being good at choosing those he works with. As is your want you interpret the "smarter/cleverer/ brighter than you" part to mean only one thing.. IQ. Whilst still valid on that basis alone, there are many other intelligences. In short.. Your limitations are showing again. He on the other hand is talking a language you fail to understand.
  6. Positive strokes for positive folks seems to be your message. Nothing wrong with that.
  7. Absolutely agree. (it was closed for years. One to stop it falling down.. I think. Two to upgrade it. Moscow Centre is worth a visit.. But not cheap.
  8. Indeed.. Watch it accelerate. £78m going into changing the La Porte Centre in Grangemouth.
  9. Lol. I still have two also. I enjoyed my visit to the Ballet in Moscow in that slightly famous theatre. Didn't fly there in a 747 anytime though. That journey from Moscow City Centre to the Airport is a nightmare.
  10. Never was a man of mystery. International.. Yes. Often.
  11. About right. The first time I saw them was in their early days as Prestwick Airport was used as a trainibg base. Like you, I no longer travel overseas.
  12. In South Africa the year before the football World Cup I met with one of the leaders of the committee organising the event and a government security expert and invited to a colloquium on how to handle the number of planes they would have on the ground as the number outstripped the, then, capacity of the airfields. Reminds me of the pics we see now of the number of parked planes.
  13. Correct. Gov policy will focus on work creation in domestic properties. Then incentives for low emission travel. Then industry. The first is an easy, if costly win, the second has started. Business users can get great deals, supported by Gov, on electric cars. Changes in work practices will help drive changes in industry but major change is costly. Tax incentives will be needed.
  14. In the early 60s there were around 4 cars in the street I lived in from around 30 houses. Now... This would average around 1 or more per house.
  15. In other words... You don't have a personal opinion in it... That figures.
  16. Quoting someone else's opinion? Don't you have one of your own?
  17. High streets grew out of changing shopping patterns in the past, have suffered from the growth of out of town shopping centres followed by online shopping. Returning road traffic to town high streets is unlikely to be accepted as part of the solution unless this is accompanied by returning a number of the units and offices to residential use. There are new ideas out there for retail which combine retail and increased use of technology in flexible ways. Hasn't arrived yet.. But on its way.
  18. Amazing to think that they won't be there. Closed in Falkirk but not Stirling.
  19. Is that the one where you are in all over rubber? (take a child size suit for the Wee Man).
