  1. Did you not mean condiments are rare. Then again if you were going to compliment your steak you could say "Well Done" Pass the mustard Editited Feck just noticed you did say well done Made a rare cnut of that post
  2. Sounds a bit like the forum but I'm with you on the away games Go Away (to games)
  3. AH! but what are these things the club do not speak of that have impressed skyview and are the primary reason they are getting involved? LPM on Columbian too. Could there be a connection? . Do we Call in Columbo should be the next SMISA Vote
  4. I've read through the complete Skyview conspiracy threat. LPM has asked a fairly simple question "What's in it for them" and maybe he went about it the wrong way but this paragraph from the Skyview statement is rather mystifying. What initiatives are we not speaking about and why? What are the club not telling us that skyview are in on? Feck someboby could be on to some thing here. Someone suggested Columbo in an earlier thread Maybe that's not a bad shout Just one more question sir.........About those eyebrows and that tash.
  5. You can achieve a suitable state of intoxication and stay in the black If you can manage to
  6. The team were fecking shocking And Stelios was lost We dropped another two points And that could dearly cost But Fat McCalls team got humped Which means we finally caught em We just moved up to ninth place We’re off the fecking Bottom Feckin Dire.....Straits
  7. Work was slow today and I had feck all else to do. How about some Tedious Tom's Westbank drummer boy meets Mark Knopfler. I'm just an ageing drummer boy And in the stands I used to play And I've called the tune To many a St Mirren session Now they say that I’m a criminal And They’ll take my drums away Tony please hear my confession I have livened up the west Bank with no stash in ma Drum I’ve Paid all my money From my hard earned income I have re-written atmosphere With the North Bank and my songs Invented memories In the West bank ma Drum Belongs And I can still hear The rules And I still hear that I’m wrong Cause Tony’s too big The Club’s too strong Well I have tried to be meek And I have tried to be mild But He spat like a woman And He sulked like a child I have lived behind walls That have made me alone Striven through Red Tape Which I should have never known And I can still hear The rules And I still hear that I’m wrong Tony’s too big The club's too strong Well the sun rose on the Westbank And they all did hear him say 'You always were a Buddie But I got you anyway You may have got your red-tape But I swear upon my life I’d never bring in buckfast Explosives or a knife' Oh Tony please help me For I have done no wrong Your too big The Club's too strong
  8. Wee Durrant time wasting. Holding the ball. They'll be happy with a draw
  9. Drummer drumming. North Bank singing and performance picking up. Come on ye saints
  10. Got my headphones on so I can hear them and I can't hear what the wife is saying. Bonus!
  11. St Mirren radio broadcasting if you really want to hear them. They are on about the crowd being quiet. No cnut can hear them
  12. I heard the new top was designed to remind everyone how the club has been all over the place since wee DL lost it. Apparently once we gain some stability the stripes will straighten themselves out. It's so the doubters realise the best guy to straighten the club out is JR (manager of the month). Rumour has it that with a bit of stability the middle stripe turns black, the other stripes change and label changes to F@@@ the Morton. Fasionista ya bass!
  13. I take it Ladbrokes don't know about the "JR must go" thread. Well done Jack and the team. I assume TC never got a vote.
  14. Very, Very good point. In my defence it was after 12 and I only heard part of the broadcast. and some times I'm not that smart.
  15. Well done Div. I heard a brief mention of Buddy the Badger on St Mirren Radio on Saturday. I never heard it all but in the snap shot I did, it sounded like there was a move afoot to Depose our beloved Panda and replace him with a badger. Hope I got the wrong end of the stick, C'Moan the Panda
  16. I sort of took it for granted that once we own the club we'd need to pay for it's upkeep. You know like put our hands in our pockets same as we expected every other shareholder we have moaned about in the past to do. If it's just pay back Gordon Scott then Sod off that's not a good plan. I hope to feck everyone is in it for the long term and not just to fill the pockets of old shareholders so they lose feck all. If we don't keep going what's the Point? What happened to ST Mirren till I die.
  17. Reading through the posts and opinions is basically the only insight I get into SMISA apart from the match day experience and 90% of my matches are away games. In addition, I no longer live in Paisley so I’m out of touch with the community. I’m probably guilty of the us V them label as I tend to look at the buyout venture as a “buy out” and I don’t know enough about the current shareholders to make a proper judgement on where their priorities lie in respect of Club interests v their own investments. My investment of £2 per month for SMISA to experiment with learning to cope on how to deal with being in charge when the day comes is not under threat. Irrespective of how my fellow members vote, I’ll stay in the team. FFS it’s only 2 quid and when the day comes £12 a month is well worth being part of the journey. What ever you guys vote for. Count on my support but occasionally I might have a wee moan just to get my 2 quid’s worth Won’t make Saturday but the drive to Greenock has not yet been ruled out and the train tickets are sorted for Falkirk.
  18. Whilst I agree with 99% of this post. Until we actually own the club they should pay the players wages SMISA Smisa Money Is Scott's Answer
  19. I read the three proposals and I must admit none of them initially came across as inspired ideas. I have since read through the rest of this thread and I have become slightly more receptive to them but like many others I still have reservations. Community season tickets (£6,000) – My first impression was this was just another cash grab by the club. Once again we seem to be handing over the bulk of our money to the club. I suppose it all depends on the criteria and administration of the tickets. SMISA should be putting their name about BUT until we buy the shares, filling empty seats is something the club should do. If this proposal goes ahead some of the cash should be utilised on branding and publicity to ensure SMISA get the appropriate credit for the venture and that their attempts to bring the local community on board are recognised in a beneficial way. I don’t think that just giving folk freebies, no matter how deserving, without having a wider strategy for bringing them on board as future supporters will work. Probably a no vote 2) Hall of Fame boards (£1,500) This seems like a bit of Laziness on behalf of the club marketing team. Surely as many have suggested there are other options for the club to sort this and look for income from sources other than SMISA. Getting SMISA’S name or LOGO visible in the stadium is something we should consider but I’m not sure this is the way. Probably a No vote 3) Youth team sponsorship (£700) Again, we must get our name out there but benefitting one team is probably not the way forward. I like the idea of sponsoring leagues or cups where many teams can benefit. Probably a no vote. 4) None of the above. The idea of building up the pot and developing a proper strategy for branding and crediting SMISA with initiatives that will bring in widespread support and goodwill. Probably a yes vote. I know this post will probably seem negative and as many will point out provides no solutions to my reservations. There are the beginnings of some good idea’s in the proposal’s and they have raised some interesting debate. Democratic Decision making is always going to cause disagreement. Hopefully those who matter are paying heed to how these initial votes are being processed and working on a model that will provide effective leadership and decision making when the day finally comes to take the helm of ST MIRREN FC. Democracy If you're not in Power Criticise, If you have the power don't take shit from those that criticise because you know best.
