  1. When did Progres Niedercorn relocate to Luxembourg The only Scottish club side I remember playing a club from Liechtenstein (who play in the Swiss league anyway) was Falkirk
  2. When Ronaldo moves to Bury, Iniesta to Argyle and Zaha to St Mirren, I expect an apology
  3. That would be shite. Warnock likes to bring his teams doon to Cornwall and my local side Bodmin Town got to play Cardiff City last summer (only lost 3-1) and we played Leeds United few years back. I'm not having a bunch of bigoted cunts coming doon here, so braindead they think their club still exist, pissing in our gardens and requiring mass fumigation of the entire county.
  4. Fergie's era was at a time before Bosman ruling came in, major tv deals and the death of loyalty to football clubs. Aberdeen and Dundee United would go on to have excellent runs in Europe a few years later. Now competitive football is dead, money has destroyed it and loyalty is rare. Our clubs cannot compete like they used to in Europe. In the Fergie days we may have possibly held onto McLean, Mallan, McAllister, Naismith, Morgan and J.McGinn. Football is very different these days, and the only time we have a player at his best will be because he isn't good enough to play at a higher level than where we are at.
  5. Seeing Gordon Scott and Fitzy on the pitch at the end doesn't bother me in the slightest. GS had communicated with the fans and it's clear he wants the club to progress going by what he says. Fitzy is a club legend ffs and it's obvious even now how much he loves the club. Its not like Venky's at Blackburn or Ellis Short at Sunderland suddenly turning up if either club wins League One or the playoffs. Our guys have clearly been involved and care about the club.
  6. There's a shitey Sevco thread for pish like this
  7. Goodwillie can piss off. He was shite at Argyle in L2 and did nothing to help the promotion charge.
  8. Craig Samson's penalty save against Dundee United
  9. Excellent read, nice to read it from an outsider view. My only disagreement is this: It was brilliant the fans were doing a walk and showed that the whole of Paisley was behind the club. I have said it many times over the course of the season but if more fans across Scotland supported their home town team then the game in our country would be so much better. If only this was true. We all know our town is overrun by bigot scum. A town of population 80,000 which can only get 3K/4K at most home games. What we have done is gained fans and popularity through both the much more vocal and active North Bank crew (compared to before I moved) and the Family Stand initiatives. And of course JR's efforts have played a part. Bang on the money there when he says the Scottish game would be so much better if everyone backed their local side. Apart from that a really good read, enjoyed that.
  10. We will not sell 5000+ home tickets (ST or not), if we are losing more than we win those drifter fans will drift off again. Most of this season's attendance figures have been in the 3K-4K range. Average away attendances will go up and we may see more regular 4K figures (including away fans). As with many other clubs we are in a town full of bigot fans and we won't be changing their minds. All we can do is keep up the free/cheap kids tickets to schools and clubs and use this to give us our next generation of fans, before they end up as lifelong bigot fans as well. I hate the idea of bigot fans in home ends but it is financial stupidity to give them away end only if we are not selling out the home ends. I said earlier in this thread to start the Bigots off with the 1,600 in the away end, leave a home section unallocated. This gives both clubs a chance to sell through what they have. If we sell out we take the unallocated section. If Bigots sell out and we aren't close to it, give them the unallocated section. Best way forward, and then we can't say we've handed them it straight away, we had our chance too.
  11. Latest rumours are he wants to help Bury regain their League One status after their relegation. He visited Bury while at Manyoo and said it was a delightful place and he hoped one day to don the "Shirt of the Shakers". Personally I'd rather get Morgan back on loan for the next 10 years. My mate's mate's dad's brother's girlfriend works as a cleaner at St Mirren Park and she said she had spoken to James Fowler (she refers to him as Fowly) and it appears we are aiming for Wilfried Zaha, if we can agree on a price. Btw I also seen Andres Iniesta down here yesterday in Lidl. It appears he wants to settle in Cornwall and Truro City or Plymouth Argyle (Devon) are feasible options. Truro need to gain promotion to the National League though as he doesn't want to play in a regionalised "South" league, he won't get a chance to visit the Manc area and visit Ronaldo at Bury. One of my colleagues said they seen him and Derek Adams in a cafe so Argyle looks more likely.
  12. Scottish Fitba Situations Fir The Weekend Premier League Top 6 Green Bigots can defeat Blue Bigots to seal the title at the weekend. Aberdeen can take advantage by beating a Hearts side destined for 6th. Hibs v Killie, Killie need a win to have any chance of making top 4. Premier League Bottom 6 Big one is Accies v County. Accies win would leave County in the shite. 'Well v Dundee, Fakes v Partick, the home sides can seal mathematical safety, away sides desperate for points. Championship ST MIRREN - CHAMPIONS (of course) Livingston are guaranteed 2nd and will feature in the 2nd playoff Round. Dundee United are guaranteed playoffs but home advantage (2nd leg) is not a done deal. These two meet at Tannadice. Dunfermline hold 4th above ICT and have a decent GD advantage, so a draw v Dumbarton would probably be enough, and Dumbarton's concern is the relegation playoff tbh. ICT need to win at M*rt*n. QOTS can pressure the Ton by beating relegated Brechin City, who have one final chance to win a league game this season. League One Tasty as f*ck. Raith Rovers lead Ayr United by 1pt as both relegated sides from last season aim to bounce back with the title. Ayr GD is miles better. Arbroath and Alloa are level for 3rd, but Red Litchies have a comfortably better GD. Playoffs guaranteed. Stranraer definite 5th. East Fife 1pt above New Airdrieonians in fight for 6th. Forfar definite 8th but safety is relief. Albion lead Queen's Park by 2Pts in the bid to claim relegation playoff spot instead of automatic relegation. Ayr v Albion is massive in both senses. Raith v Alloa, QP v Arbroath, a must win for the Spiders. League Two Also a final day title decider but a draw is enough for Montrose to wrap it up at home to Elgin. Peterhead must beat Edinburgh City to aim for top, GD is safely in their favour. Stirling v Stenhousemuir is 3rd v 4th. Clyde are within range but are 6GD off both sides. With Stenny 2Pts above Clyde's hopes are probably more on a Stirling win. Clyde play a Berwick side guaranteed 8th. Annan definite 7th, Edin City definite 9th. 6th likely for Elgin as the GD swing with Clyde would need to be hefty. Cowdenbeath have to defend their league place for the second season running. Non-League Cove Rangers v Spartans (1st leg). Spartans edge out last year's Lowland champs East Kilbride by 2Pts after Kilby lost their final match and Spartans managed a draw. Hawick Royal Albert bottom, unsure whether they will be relegated or not, depends on the replacement option's choice. Cove have walked this league, 12pts clear of Inverurie (Formartine United could still take 2nd and finish with an 11pt gap). Cove GD is a ridiculous +105. Last year's champions Buckie Thistle finish 7th. Fort William guaranteed bottom but have 3 games to improve on their 4pts.
  13. Does having Salah as first Goalscorer on a Champions League predictor game count?
  14. Is there any other club in Scotland already selling STs apart from Dundee? I find it strange to see them selling when they don't have a clue what league they will feature in next season. 700+ shocked me at first but thinking about it, loyal fans won't care what league they will be in when buying a ST. If we did this and I lived locally I'd snap up mines early as well regardless of the relegation threat.
  15. This is like the sort of squad you end up with after entering your 5th season on Football Manager. In a bizarre coincidence I signed Massimo Donati on FM09 in my third season
  16. Then again, if we hadn't wrapped it up by now it could have been won at Falkirk this Saturday
  17. "Cammy Smith Goal of the Season rescinded after foul play from St Mirren fans using multiple votes. Award now given to Tierney as per SFA rules. On further reflection, the award has now been handed to Harry Kane after he appealed the decision to hand the trophy to Tierney"
  18. Regarding Paul McGinn - Keep in mind we need to bring in 2 or 3 full backs - he's a safe bet. Younger than Eck who I imagine/hope will stay. Smith goes back to Hearts. Irvine will be punted. Questions over Stelios. FB is an area we need to strengthen in and if McGinn signed it doesn't mean we won't sign another FB, and it doesn't mean we won't sign a better one either.
  19. I'd make it £150. The poor bastards working in the refreshment area deserve a pay rise when having to put up with the hoardes of scum. We also need to cover extra policing, potential vandalism and the cost will serve them right for being a bunch of glory hunting bastards who do nothing to help their local side.
  20. As much as I'd rather not see them in any of our home stands, if there are empty seats in our end and the away stand is full, we are denying ourselves the opportunity to cash in. I would begin with giving the bigot clubs the 1,600 in the away end. Keep a section of the home stands untouched (preferably not the W6/7 area), but to work around this we have to avoid selling STs in the potential untouched area (unless we somehow sell 5,000 STs ). Give ourselves the chance to sell out the home stands. If/when it doesn't happen, open up the untouched home section to the Bigots if they've sold their away end allocation. It's a sickening thought to have those cunts in our end but financially it would be stupid to reject more sales to them if we are not selling out ourselves.
  21. This. We didn't even see the cup in this corner of the stadium. The cup was sort of near the halfway line (maybe in line with W3/W4), then IIRC one of the players ran over for it. By then the bulk of the team were onto the Family Stand and said player with trophy went to join his team mates meaning us lot in W1/W2 didny get a proper viewing of the cup.
  22. They could do a detailed step-by-step analysis of his penalty save against Dundee United. Samson himself could give us a running commentary of each scene and what was playing through his mind at the time.
  23. Trying my best to not be biased, my top 3 would be: 1) Moult for 'Well v Sevco - That lob is just delightful. Absolute precision. Excellent dip too. 2) Tierney Green Bigots v Killie - Feel sick for saying it but that is some strike. Accuracy brilliant, powerful, not like the keeper was off his line or anything. Struck from miles out. Keena's looks further out but the keeper was miles off his line. 3) I shall be a right arse here and nominate two goals here - Cammy's goal and Bingham for Accies. Not sure if I'm just trying too hard to be unbiased. Both look like the best team goals this season according to what has been selected. Saints played their way through Dunfermline in seconds, lovely backheel, goal. Accies showed great composure in the final third to work that goal, opened Hibs right up, lovely backheel here as well, and a simple finish for Bingham. Both goals are special in their own right.
