  1. I don't think it will be a sell out, because Killie have only sold just over 1,000 tickets. Unfortunately, as things stand, that means ~600 empty seats in the away end. It would be great if they sold it out, though. I'm extremely nervous, but even if the worst happened and we lost, I would expect Dundee Utd to get something from Livingston. Also, there's the chance of a St. Johnstone bounce following Davidson's departure. Still, it's natural to fear the worst.

They finished with a record low points total as I recall.

I know Derek McInnes has his critics, but I very much doubt he'll field a bunch of amputees! I think you're hoping for a wee bit too much, there. 😉

I've been following that closely. I don't like Buckie as apparently they don't want to get promoted, in which case they're a bit of a pointless club (not literally, of course, as they actually have 87 points). I'd love to see Brechin win on Saturday, too.
  5. He's not kept in a small cage in Edinburgh Zoo...and gets all the pies he can eat.
  6. The team you think are the most vocal away from home: Dundee fans impressed me a lot last season, especially given their league position. The team you think are the most vocal at home: I haven't been to enough away games to answer. The team with the support you respect the most: Motherwell fans are similar to us. Despite being close to Glasgow they're loyal and passionate. The team with the support that are just a bit dull: Killie fans made very little noise on 3rd Jan. The team with the support that you dislike most: I honestly have respect for all fans outside the glory-hunting OF scum.
  7. We could have sold more for this game. But when was the last time we sold out? Dundee Utd in the play-offs, wasn't it? I think the stadium's adequate and we certainly would never recoup the money we'd spend developing it. However, if this was to happen frequently, and there's no reason why we can't grow our support, then I would see the need for expansion. Currently four seats left in the Family Stand, btw.
  8. ETA: I can see nine still available on the website.
  9. Well there are now twelve tickets left! So I would expect the club to release the others.
  10. Less than 50 according to my quick dot count. They'll be gone by 14:00.
  11. According to the online site: - there are now just TEN seats left in the West Stand - 9 in W1 and 1 in W7. - EIGHT seats are left in the Main Stand. Is it right that Curtis already has a stand named after him, btw? 🤔
  12. I can see the Main and West stands selling out today. The Family Stand might be a bit more awkward, given that it's designed for families and there are single seats all over the place. Still, I suppose when push comes to shove folk will take them.
  13. Sorry, when I stated 'slightly better' I'm referring to Kilmarnock's chance of winning not the return on a bet. What I don't understand is why the odds are so short, given Killie haven't won on a grass pitch all season. That's spooked me a bit, to be honest. You wrote that I was pessimistic before, well that's when I would have suggested Killie's odds would've been 10/1.
  14. Maths has never been my forte, but isn't that slightly better than 3/1? Could it be the odds have been influenced by a lot of folk betting on a Kilmarnock victory?
  15. Well, 14/5 isn't that unlikely! I expected longer odds.
  16. I understand that and did it against the Hearts game in which Obika relegate them. I saw it as an insurance policy. I would have been absolutely gutted had we lost that game, but the £100+ I would have won would have softened the blow, somewhat. I'd not call it win/win, but rather win/lose but receive a compensation payment.
  17. Tickets selling fast, still. I'd recommend folk advise anyone who wants to go to buy now: Main Stand - even the corners are selling! West Bank - some sections only have a seat or three left.
  18. Are the away tickets on sale? I hope they fill the away end and we get a full house. I cannot see the home stands NOT selling out now.
  19. I hope somebody took this, pal. What a kind gesture. Top guy.
  20. I wasn't predicting doom and gloom, I'm just stating the fact that it's not a foregone conclusion that we will win or draw the game. It really isn't. Killie are playing for their SPL status, and they will probably be backed by a big away support. Shocks happen, if they didn't the whole sport would be pretty pointless. I'm delighted we're in this position. It's more exciting this way than if Livingston or Hibs dropped points - we should have a full house and it will be a great atmosphere if we win it. I'm nervous and fully aware that we could blow it. Those of you who're 100% confident are foolish, IMHO. Put the champagne on ice, but just remember you might not be popping those corks. I would put our odds of finishing top-six at 90% and have a feeling of nervous excitement. We can do it, we should do it, but we haven't done it. Hopefully both ourselves and Dundee Utd will be 3-0 up at half-time.
  21. I've seen us miss out often enough to almost expect it; I was also at the LC game v Arbroath. It's by no means a certainty, sadly. It's the hope/expectation that kills you.
  22. I agree with this to an extent, but then sometimes football can involve an amount of luck - bad or good. Anything can happen. We could lose a couple of players to injury or illness; have a man sent off early one; concede a fluke goal; hit the woodwork six times, etc. It's eleven v eleven at the end of the day, and anything can happen. We should win this, but as Jimmy Greaves used to say: "it's a funny old game."
  23. Only just been able to check the scores! Absolutely stunned, but delighted. That's surely top-six all but confirmed? Can we go an get something at Ibrox, now? Nothing to lose.
