  1. I hope you've learned your lesson.
  2. I was guilty of that the other day, and you're right - the team is resilient and committed. I would happily take a draw on Saturday.
  3. Really? Wow. I always think 40 points and we're safe, which seems right. But 31 has been enough to avoid the bottom slot seems crazy.
  4. Just catching up with all this. 😯 I do think this forum would benefit from the absence of childish bickering, but @faraway saint is not the only guilty one.
  5. I lost 3-0 folks. 😯 😆 Still, I enjoy a challenge. Will hopefully make it a regular thing, @truesaint.
  6. I'm delighted to declare that I was wrong to be so pessimistic, though a few of the key players reported to be out actually played.
  7. @truesaint I always seem to miss you. You seem to be on a bit late for me, and the one time I was on late you had been on 15 mins earlier! If I ever catch you on line I will challenge you to a game, though.
  8. That's us gubbed, then. Sorry folks, if that's the case we will struggle... Presumably Brophy can't play against us, can he?
  9. Apparently the criteria has changed. I believe it's now classed as gold, silver and bronze, and Ayr's ground would certainly qualify. I believe the rules were amended when the league was reformed to accommodate Rangers. 10. @Ronnie - much appreciated, though I think St. Johnstone are in the mix, too. I think it's a five team race: Hearts will almost certainly finish third, and ten points clear of 7th have nothing to worry about in terms of failing to finish in the top-six. At ten points adrift, Motherwell are not going to make it, unless they put together a terrific run. However, St. Johnstone play us in these fixtures and (ceteris paribus) they would be three points behind us. That puts them in contention, IMHO. As for our form, @TopCat, as long as we maintain better form than Aberdeen and St. Johnstone (and assuming none of the sides below them put together a brilliant run), we're home and dry. As it stands, our form is equal to Aberdeen's and better than St. Johnstone's. St. Johnstone's remaining fixtures Dundee Utd (a) - a derby, so should be fiercely contested with the Arabs fighting for their lives. St Mirren (h) - a six pointer. This is a crucial fixture for both of us. Hearts (a) - a tough fixture for them. Kilmarnock (a) - Killie scrapping for every point will be another hard game. Aberdeen (h) - a six pointer. A draw here would potentially be good for us. Ross County (h) - Brophy to do us a favour here! County also scrapping for points. Livingston (a) - another six pointer. Hibs (h) - yet another six pointer.
  11. The fact we're pushing to finish in the top half of the top division, and have been for a few seasons now, is marvellous. But it's always going to be a big ask for a club like ours, with the resources we have - we shouldn't rightfully be in the top-six. Last night was a poor result, although I think we could have nicked a point. But looking at Aberdeen and St. Johnstone's games, I still think we have a good shout. I think Stephen's done brilliantly this year, despite a slow start. He's got Main playing well, and brought in some decent players. I was wanting to see him punted at the end of last year, but I was wrong about him. We still occupy sixth spot. We can do this.
  12. I listened to this on the radio lasy night, and have just seen the highlights. I think Beaton robbed us of a point. That was never a foul at the end, which denied us the goal, IMHO. I hate to write this: but I think we'll probably miss out on the top six again, and it's decisions like that which will cost us.
  13. Somebody's hacked Elvis's account...get @div! In all seriousness, you're spot on Elvis.
  14. The scoreline didn't reflect the game at all. We did ourselves proud today - had it not been for the penalty and red card, who knows what might have been?
  15. I don't mate. I'd try Twitter - I think each bus has a Twitter account.
  16. Indeed. It was our first win there in 31 years - I stand corrected: Both times Celtic were having a poor season. I still stand by previous statement that a win today would be almost miraculous, but, of course, it is possible.
  17. Not so much at home. We beat Celtic at Parkhead during the Pandemic, and that was the first time since the early 1980s, plus remember the stadium was EMPTY. How many times have we beaten them at home during that period? It's not impossible, and it wouldn't be a miracle, but it would be a bawhair away from one.
  18. A victory tomorrow will be verging on the miraculous. It's why I have opted not to go, and it's practically in my backyard.
  19. Your puzzle score is intimidating, and I think you're being very modest by suggesting it 'means nothing'. We'll have to arrange a time for a game. I reckon a 45 minuter would be best.
  20. I think I probably will get pumped, but my ego's not so big that I really care.
  21. I've added you as a friend. I can see you're better than me, given your puzzles score. But I still think we should put the results of our games in here, for added pressure and to keep the thread going and encourage others to join. However, obviously only if you agreed to that.
  22. BTW, I tried to add you as a friend, but was informed you don't accept friend requests. 😆 Maybe you can add me - it just makes life easier, as can check when you're online and challenge you in the future. I'm ShuggleSaint.
  23. I'm unsure about this one. I have decided to leave it until Friday before I buy my tickets, if indeed I do buy them. My only fear is the club sell-out on Thursday and don't bother getting any more...
  24. Grand, will do. Anyone else? A couple more and we can start a mini-league...
  25. Unfortunately not. I de-clutter frequently. I think it's better playing online - even in a school environment. I used to play with my pal at school, when it was wet outside, and I couldn't look away or go to the toilet otherwise pieces would move or disappear. He was a very bad loser.
