  1. As long as we ain't splitting atoms, you'll be fine.
  2. Aye, you could almost fit a tuna through the gaps in those masks. [emoji1787]
  3. Apparently New Zealand is about 1,600km long so, dividing by 500,000, the average fish would need to be 3.2m, slightly smaller than a tuna and you can fit them into wee cans so he might have a point. [emoji16]
  4. A nm is 1/1,000,000,000m, so 50nm is 50/1,000,000,000m, or 1/20,000,000m. Multiply by 500,000 gives 1/40m or 25mm. So, aye, if the 50nm information is correct, the holes would need to be 2.5cm. Larger holes than (intact) fishnet stockings, in other words. Now, how big is New Zealand and how big is an average fish?
  5. So the holes are still smaller than the ones in your graph? [emoji1787]
  6. I said that you never thought it through PROPERLY and, by "explaining" it, you've just demonstrated that I was right. [emoji1787]
  7. You never thought that "joke" through properly, did you?
  8. You're only as old as the woman you feel. [emoji33]
  9. Why would that be a problem, it's an apt description? [emoji16]
  10. Aye, right, when did that happen? [emoji1787][emoji1787]
  11. How do you know that faraway hasn't been trained in how to de-escalate situations? Even if he hasn't, a simple "excuse me mate, any chance you could put your mask back on" would suffice. I did say that it is debatable how effective they are.
  12. Masks are for the protection of others, not the wearers. How effective they actually are is debatable but the theory is that they reduce the chance of those spit particles you mention landing on surfaces which are then touched by others. As long as he was civil about it, I don't see an issue with what he did.
  13. Aye, but ah'm no' a ... eh, oops.
  14. I think I've mentioned this before, but it's worth repeating ... yer aw cunts.
  15. From what I recall (and only saw through others quoting him, so there might have been more to it), he was against this specific proposal but not against colts in the league in general.
  16. Must be a hell of a lot of biscuits on a boat that size. [emoji16]
  17. Is that your lunch being delivered?
  18. How is this "left wing"? Can you show me an example of me being "all over" anything from the Tories? I am? Thank f**k you are here to inform me of that. I know it won't happen and that's not a good thing. I thought you believed in taking responsibility for your own actions and accepting the consequences of such actions.
  19. All it would take is for one of them to take it onto the island, then ... It would raise the average IQ in the world in short time.
  20. Or you were until you paid for your "man cave" ...... that your wife will end up taking over in a few years time when, according to her, you don't make enough use of it.
  21. To me, refusing the vaccine is akin to parents refusing their kids medical treatment on religious grounds. One person makes the decision and another potentially pays for it, and all based on uncorroborated pseudo-scientific and/or faith based nonsense. If it would only affect that person (e.g. non-infectious) then fair enough but here is very little in life that only affects a single person, whether that be infection or taking up medical resources/time if/when that person does get "whatever it is". IMO, if someone gets infected with something for which they have previously been offered and refused a vaccine, then they should be charged for the medical treatment that they are given if/when they are infected with that something - if there is space for them at the surgery/hospital in the first place as they should go to the end of the queue. I also think, among other similar things, that smokers should go to the end of the queue for lung transplants etc. as well as having to pay if/when they do get a transplant - and this is coming from someone who has smoked for over 40 years.
  22. In a way I agree with that, but there are other people that cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons who will be put at a greater risk by those who choose to not get vaccinated. Maybe those who choose to not get vaccinated should be restricted to their own homes to keep others safe. You know, treated like the idiots they are.
