  1. Still gutted about last night as it was a shock that individual errors resulted in losing two goals. Not a game for the purist but still hoped we'd escape with a draw. After playing really well for most of the game against Celtic this was a body blow.
  2. Not a lot to add to the posts already made in this thread. I was really pleased with our performance as it wasn't the usual sitting deep and hanging on for the full 90 minutes. Another penalty cost us and how many has that been this season? Really took my breath away at the final score as it really wasn't that much between us admitting Celtic are a better side with greater depth.
  3. The gloom has lifted a wee bit after yesterday which is another game we didn't deserve to lose but there's been two or three of them this season although we can't win them all as much as I'd like to. Talking about the season so far with my mate last night and it's been good or even better so far although their is a wee while to go. Drawing Celtic in the cup wasn't what I wanted as another home game against easier opposition would have been idea but it is what it is. The next league game should be seen as 3 points for us against a poor Motherwell side.
  4. Lacklustre after the great second half performance up in Aberdeen. We were just sitting watching thinking it was going to be nil nil as they were both rotten. Not much more to say, a poor way to lose a great home record, just one of these days.
  5. Just finished work and ready for the big match with 3 points up for grabs and us to stay in fourth place. Pitch looks in great condition.
  6. I'm agreeing with the fact we were really unlucky against Hearts who have been winning most games comfortably. It's time we had an away win as it seems a very long time ago.
  7. I'm feeling good about Watt as he's been around the block and his relationship with Robinson will hopefully see us get the best from him. Not going to comment any more on the stream of pish on this thread, becoming a chore.
  8. Just what the doctor ordered as a few people have mentioned it's points that are so important for us right now. Our home form is absolutely outstanding and the season ticket holders are getting their moneys worth this season after a few seasons when it's been dire at home. To say the obvious we really need somebody who can stuff the ball into the net as that last 10 minutes was torture. A quiet wee night tonight with an old mate and a few drams. Thanks Saints, made my day.
  9. Okay I'm all done and settled for the game although watching solo today, nae pals. Fairly confident as we're at home but unsure who could score for us unless we get a penalty.
  10. Been working for over 3 hours, a quick tea break then back on it as I'm planning to settle down to watch us get a win. I have to say this thread is tough reading with the amount of unrelated pishy posts. if so called supporters want to post constant pish can't they keep it out of these threads or someone take some action? Back later and I'm a bit anxious as the consequences if we lose could see us become nervous about the teams underneath us.
  11. I'll not make this game, trying to catch up on lost work over the last few weeks but I'm hopeful we get a win. It's been clearly said above that we really need a win and get this monkey off our backs. Reading the Sunday papers seems to suggest that Motherwell weren't brilliant yesterday against a team close to the bottom of the league below us so they are not exactly Argentina.
  12. I shouldn't have posted just after the game yesterday, it usually results in things being said that I should have thought more about. It wasn't a great game and it didn't look like we were going to win I never really felt Dundee were going to score either. We discussed the game last night and our recent record isn't great for wins we haven't lost many either which never seems to get mentioned. I'll probably be home before the draw is made for the next round and I have no shame in hoping for the shitiest team left in the cup at home.
  13. Just back at my mates house and that was rubbish. We never seemed to have any belief and even less skill with us hardly being able to string 3 passes together with the only bonus being that Dundee were equally as poor. We said it looked like penalties before half time as it just had that look to it. The only player worth a bonus is our goalkeeper and some sections of the support kept going when it was dire. Time for something to eat and a few drams and I'm not sure if I'm looking forward to the draw or not.
  14. Just left for the long drive to Paisley, it's nice to get driven as I can sleep if I want. Still confident about today so just get an early goal and settle the crowd. Undecided if we'll stay in Paisley overnight as it depends on the score and our mood.
  15. I don't usually post straight after a game, feelings can run high but I wasn't expecting too much at Parkhead as I've seen plenty of shambolic performances from us over the years. We've went there umpteen times and sat back, hardly got out of our own half and went down without even getting close to their goalkeeper. Tonight, despite the result, wasn't like that as I seen it. We were under heavy pressure for long periods but with a wee bit of luck could have scored a couple of goals. I prefer that approach rather than sitting in for the whole game. Made up my mind that I'll make the long journey to the game on saturday as we need a strong home support and a win.
  16. Not too many posts in this thread for a big game against Celtic but pleasing that quite a few are feeling quite positive as I am. Stopped early today and had a big tea. Two mates popping round, I've been quite popular since I got this stick thing. Imagine what a win would do after already smacking them earlier this season.
  17. I was going to come on and post last night but I was scunnered. We have been equally as good as Hearts over the last two games and if we had a Frank McGarvey we would have won both games. It's worth mentioning that Hearts had been scoring for fun before the last two games so we should recognise our team are defending well and that includes our midfielders. My two mates who watched last nights game with me were saying the same that we are close to a very good side. Let's stay positive, we could have a season to remember here as we have the manager and are only a player or two short.
  18. I was taken to the cinema on Wednesday by a friend and I thought this was a simple story magnificently done. It encompassed so many emotions and I have to admit that there were tears in my wyes a couple of times but that was outdone by the many laughs as I seen so many traits that I have. Tom Hanks has made a few duffers but whe nhe's good he's very good and that covers him in this film.
  19. Back home after spending the day and night in Paisley and myself and my mate were in great spirits so it ended up a late night. I'm still not convinced Fraser deserved to be sent off so I think it is worth appealing. Reading todays newspapers was quite a nice experience as we are getting praise and that was against the 3rd side in the league. I've already arranged for two pals to come round on Friday night to watch the next game against Hearts and we shouldn't fear them.
  20. Just back at my mates house but really enjoyed the game if not the result. Not too much I can add after reading through the posts, we were looking dangerous on the break in the first half and even although they had lots of possession we completely snuffed them out. As me and my pals expected they came out in the second half with more determination but it was a massive slice of luck for them to equalise. I'd expect both managers will be ok with a point and really disappointed for Fraser as he didn't deserve that sending off and I'm not sure why the referee took 4 minutes to come to that decision. I certainly got my monies worth, action for the whole 90 minutes although the lack of quality was evident for both teams up front.
  21. Good summary but looking at the response of the originator it seems you're wasting your time. The forum has always had spats that I've read over the years but these usually develop then fade away but this is a pointless state of affairs. Surely he must have more to do with his time or maybe not as this seems a waste of precious time. I'm off for a hearty lunch before the game.
  22. I had a few mates that loved this pub but it wasn't for me. I always felt it was a depressing venue with more miserable faces than most pubs in the town. Maybe I was unlucky when I made a few visits but I never stayed long as the stink of weed made me feel sick.
  23. Same here pal and I've just arrived in Paisley to grab a bit of grub before heading along to the ground. I'm well wrapped up with about 3 t-shirts and a heavy hand knitted jumper. Agree about the atmosphere as Hearts are bringing a decent crowd and the combination of our form and the sad passing of Frank will make it a special day.
  24. In the circumstances I'll be attending this match as Frank was one of my early idols and even when he was at Celtic I still watched him as much as possible as he always excited and gave his all. I'm just recovering from a broken arm through a silly accident with a large section of wood. Costly as I'm self employed but I'm getting back to normal with regular physiotherapy visits. Looking forward to the game as Hearts are always a lively lot both on and off the field. Saint have been on a great run, I watched the Aberdeen game with a few pals and it was a great watch except for one Aberdeen supporter. This is a real test as we are at home and have high hopes of a high finishing league position.
