See St Mirren last season playing Falkirk twice in the final games of last season. eta - I don't actually see any reliable source suggesting St Johnstone will play a weakened time though. Lyons must have been good for Kearney before, but he doesn't really seem to know what he is doing. I don't think playing for Blackburn U23s or whatever has resulted in much positive coaching for him. He's a complete ghost when playing for us.

It does make you wonder what on earth was going on with him being played out on the wing for so long! Points off for Jack Ross there. Glad Kearney finally saw sense.

I'll admit I thought the safe option would have been appointing a manager with Premier League experience and McIntyre did fit the bill. Even with a limited squad he made an utter bollocks of it. It shows you how difficult getting the right business done in the transfer windows is. The full time wage for Gus MacPherson many have been moaning about is looking like an excellent investment now.

After I gave him grief earlier in the thread, I should say fair play to Cody Cooke when he came on. Certainly got involved and gave Hamilton something else to worry about. A couple of decent passes as well. Sadly still not much evidence that he knows the way to goal but at the rate he is improving that could be next! Delighted to see Kyle McAllister have a properly impactful game for us. Hopefully Flynn and Magennis are both fit enough to start against Dundee and Lyons can drop to the bench. We shoud be able to give them a tough time if we have a full strength midfield.

Similar pattern to recent games. Quite a lot of possession, very little ability to create anything in and around the box. No proper shots on goal. Need to step it up in the 2nd half or its the playoffs for us.

He runs at them and gives the ball away. He never passes no matter how much space players around him are in. These are the reasons he isn't getting a game. Cooke is giving it his best shot, but then so would I and I would be just as useless as him. I don't mean to give them a hard time, just find it bizzare anyone thinks they would contribute more than actual footballers like Mullen and Jackson. Would be nice to have a target man but we just don't have one.

Why do people keep suggesting The Duck or Cooke should play? Neither are anywhere near the standard required for this league. You'd be as well sticking a skip up front if you just want something to aim at.
