  1. Officially signed. Welcome to the roller coaster. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  2. Keith started his new job today. Let's hope he helps to improve the Club in all areas so we can win the League (or at least get into top 6).
  3. Maybe Robinson should cut off Ethan's hands for the second half. Booked for two hands round someone's waist the got away with two more stops using his hands. He'll be off next time.
  4. The new formation should help Brophy more with 2 strikers playing off each other with Kiltie in support. In almost all Brophy's games we had 2 sitting midfielders and two wingers pumping in high balls from as far away from Brophy as the park would allow. The guy was isolated most games. With decent support hopefully his record will improve. And he is still the top scoring striker by some distance. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  5. Welcome to the roller coaster ..... https://www.scottishdailyexpress.co.uk/sport/football/jonah-ayunga-join-st-mirren-26929324
  6. Apparently we are interested in Cameron Norman of Newport County. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  7. 3-4-1-2 Fraser, McCarthy, Shaughnessy Tait, Gogic, Ronan, Tanser Kiltie Main, Greive. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  8. Ronan delivered some great passes yesterday and along with Gogic dominated the midfield. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  9. Bit early to speculate about next season however yesterday's formation and tactics shows promise. We were far more attacking than we have been all season. We got the ball up the pitch constantly with few pass backs. Only once that I can remember the ball ending up back at Alnwick when players ran out of ideas (and that was from Fraser). Getting rid of two wingers was also a great move. All season we have played with two wide men so wide they were rarely in the game; didn't support the midfield; and never got close enough to support the lone striker and usually hit hopeful crosses to the far corner flag. Yesterday we were hitting low balls into the box which are far, far more effective. And playing with one defensive midfielder and one creative central midfielder gave us more fight and thrust in the middle of the park with Ronan dictating play (contrary to what others say). And of course two strikers with Kiltie playing off them made us far more attacking and kept the ball up the park a lot more than usual. So the formation and tactics were a huge plus for me. A far more effective and entertaining way to play football. Just need the right players to carry it off next season.
  10. Should probably have a slice of humble pie before I comment further. Can't believe I am writing this but Main had a good game today. Question is why did it take him to long? But he put in a very good shift and was effective unlike the last 9 months. We were well up for it from the start and dominated the game overall. A better final pass could have made the score a lot more comfortable. Our best performance under Robinson. The change today was down to formation and personnel changes. 2 strikers with Kiltie playing off them (by far his best position). Ronan playing deeper and dominated the midfield. No wingers meaning more competitive in the midfield. Far better formation that suited the players. Kiltie, Gogic, Greive and Main all deserve a special mention. Well done.
  11. Thanks for the info thewswpost . Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  12. Under 23 Australian on a 2 year deal. Welcome to one of Scotland's top leagues. Hopefully not second top. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks for the update. Strong rumour here that Carson is signing for us. Looks like he is trying to sign the whole Motherwell squad from around 3 years ago. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  14. Any manager who starts Main and Erhahon in the Premiership needs their head looked at. As for the others I felt they did not have a cohesive idea of what they were to do due to yet another tombola formation. Kiltie was fit and has looked far better in the middle than he does wide. I'd have had him playing behind Brophy from the start or we could have used Greive. Flyn or Jones were better bets than Erhahon. After the game Robinson was complaining about a small squad due to injuries yet he had better options on the bench and waits until the 84th minute to change it when it was obvious we had two passengers. The fault lies with the manager who has ripped the heart out of the team. Sent from my SM-P610 using Tapatalk
  15. When I saw Main and Erhahon in the line-up I knew we had no chance when we had better playets on the bench. And we wait until the 84th minute to bring on subs. Total shite and if he continues to field 9 men from the start we deserve all we get. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

    VAR Poll

Voted against. Var still gets many decisions wrong but mainly because football is becoming too sanitised. A blatant offside against the opposition in the final minute is what it is all about.
  17. I stand corrected. He is undertaking that course at Manchester. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  18. Lasley is completing a degree in Sports Management and has worked with Burrows who is a very successful EO at Motherwell. Better qualifications than his predecessor. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  19. Apparently Well and us are interested in signing this guy in the summer. He played with Well for a few months last season on loan from Blackburn. The limited concensus from Well fans is they don't want him back. Fast but hopeless. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  20. No, a patronising course. verb: patronise 1. treat in a way that is apparently kind or helpful but that betrays a feeling of superiority. "she was determined not to be put down or patronized" Similar: treat condescendingly treat with condescension condescend to
  21. I know what a professional is so don't f**kin patronise me.
  22. I was all for bagging Stubbs but with Robinson I am not quite there yet. However he doesn't help himself. After today's game he says in one sentence 'I take the blame however the boys know they have to defend better'. So he isn't taking the blame? During the week Halliday at Hearts said he was surprised by Robinson's comments slaughtering his own players after the Well game. On Sportsound yesterday and today several commented on the same subject reckoning it does little for morale. Maybe he should stop giving interviews. And we did play some good football under Goodwin albeit almost all away from home, and we were hard to beat. Why are the same players, especially the reliable Shaughnesey, been garbage under the new manager? What's happening that we don't know about? It's a mess and looks like he has lost the dressing room. Are there enough players in the squad still willing to work for him? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  23. Robinson roundly boo'd off the park at full-time. Not a good sign. Thought we were terrible today except Ronan and maybe Brophy. Playing Erhahon or Main means we are a player short. As much as I have been praising McCarthy he and the rest of the defence were awful. No midfield and Fraser constanly playing the ball to Henderson's feet where he is easily outmuscled meant we had zilch on the right wing. Motherwell are a poor team and for them to put 4 past us tells you how bad we were. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  24. I'd be shocked but delighted if we got any fee for Dunne. McCarthy is a better player more worth keeping. I don't mind Dunne staying but he would either be left back for me in a back four or a backup central defender. I would not like to lose McCarthy.
  25. Wigan are on a long winning run currently second top, one point behind with two games in hand. They got that far without Jamie. So they should change a winning team to accommodate him? Jamie is current in warm winter training in Dubai and on big money so I do not really think he is too upset about his situation at the moment.
