As long as the boo boys don't get on his back when he lapses, as all young players are likely to do.

That analysis is flawed in so many ways that I don't know where to start.

Drew I can't think of a downside. No postage costs beyond the first smart card, reduced printing costs in terms of tickets, possibly a reduction in the need for match day staff working in the ticket office, and - if the scheme was extended to opposition supporters as well - no need to pay the Old Firm a percentage of the ticket price for handling ticket sales to their own fans. There would also be an opportunity to issue local charities or community groups with a number of cards that could be charged up for various low attendance fixtures where they could be passed to the various age groups within their club for each of the fixtures.
The club also gets a database containing names and addresses of all their customers and they'll be better statistics available on who attends matches, what age group they are in, and what matches the more casual user prefers to attend.
It sounds like a good idea to me

I can't wait to embrace the ferocity of the Paisley Pythons soccerball team. Mobile hot dog sellers, cheerleaders (more Rockettes than the Morton Chlamydia Crew) and a brass band, all happening at the McDonalds Arena.
    Go Pythons!

Got this through my press contacts via Pie and Bovril. Interesting !
Maybe the council can come on board with 10000hours - stronger together and all that ?

Yeah, certainly the last paragraph was what stood out for me too. Ive been asked a number of times on here at by friends and neighbours where I stay why I was joining 10000hours when the Well Society looked the more natural pick. I've always answered its because 10000hours had community ownership central to it whereas the Well Society was far more insular.
Motherwell fans are proud of their Community credentials and the work the club does around the area. Certainly over the years both my sons have had dinner with the Motherwell squad, theyve been invited to be involved in first team training sessions, Tom Hately also helped out when one of our players lost his Dad at Christmas and when the club needed money Bobby Jenks turned up with equipment to help raise money - but whilst their credentials are good its dependent on who is running the club. With 10000hours it shouldnt be. It should be an integral part of the constitution.
I've always maintained there is more potential for growth in 10000hours proposal. Whether the potential will ever be realised will depend on the people the members elect and their ability to see that spending a tenner short term can earn thousands

I can't understand why football fans enjoy the fact that the Champions of our league are in this mess...let's take a look at ourselves we and every other team in the SPL depend on the OF for financial gain through the gates and TV...now let's all get behind them and cheers on the Hoops on Thursday and cross our fingers that r*ngers get out of their troubles.
