  1. I think there will be goals, or it might be a draw or maybe both. I know one thing for sure, I can't be arsed going to it.
  2. Coburn is an arsehole. But that's taking it too far.
  3. Aren't you getting mixed-up with "Chopper" Goodwin?
  4. The scarf is lucky because it hasn't witnessed our season, how much luckier could it be?
  5. Is this the most off-topic topic we've had?
  6. I'm not sure they were a nation as such. I don't profess to be an expert, I was merely citing that the English were not the first to oppress them.
  7. I think there is some kind of get out clause along the lines of 'for similar accommodation' it means they can claim that some stands have restricted views because of pillars etc.
  8. I'm not too worried about this, I think Dr Who will save us.
  9. Parent and child £29 I think.
  10. I would have offered to pay you in in return for a lift to an from the game ....
  11. Indeed the board are "damned if they do and damned if they don't" and that's 90% of the reason why I haven't bought the club, that and the fact I've got no money to speak of.
  12. Message from the board; St Mirren head into a pivotal game in their season this evening as they face Motherwell at Fir Park. Everybody connected with St Mirren Football Club knows the importance of this game and those that follow in the next few weeks. In a message to the fans ahead of the game St Mirren Chairman Stewart Gilmour said, “On behalf of The Board of Directors of St Mirren FC we hope that our supporters will travel in good numbers to Motherwell tonight for this very important match and give the players your full backing. It has been a very frustrating season but one which can be recoverable starting tonight. “In past years St Mirren teams have reacted to the fantastic support they have received for big matches at Motherwell and Falkirk, twice, and the teams have come away with the results at crucial times so we would ask if you can be there tonight to attend and give the players your 100% backing throughout the game.” Team manager Gary Teale has been preparing his players for tonight’s game and he also knows that the St Mirren fans will turn out tonight to play their part: “We are a relatively young team in the main and you could see the players reaction to the positive support they got from the Stands on Friday night against Celtic. “I thought the players worked so hard during the full 90 minutes and the fans really got behind the team. I would urge all St Mirren fans if you can make tonight to be there as your support can only help the players. We all realise what’s required of us which is a vital match for the Club tonight.” One of the players on the field will be full-back Jason Naismith who assures that the team haven’t given up the fight. He said, “The players are all aware of the importance of tonight’s match, the fans can be assured that we will work as hard as we can and go out there to do our best for St Mirren FC. “The fans support can be like a 12th man so please stay with us and help us get the result we all want.“ http://www.saintmirren.net/pages/?p=42138
  13. Oh dear it seems like a former Labour councillor has re-joined the party, no wonder it's front-page news.
  14. I certainly won' argue with the bible being a less than reliable source of historical data, but my point stands, anti-Semitism in all it's forms goes back as far as recorded history and saying that a race are local is certainly not and never has been grounds to enslave them. I don't think you have any grounds to claim that the English invented anti-Semitism. Please think more carefully before you post, the fact that I felt I had to disagree with you in my last post has caused the blocked Mr Dickson to 'like' what I wrote. I may never feel clean again.
  15. To be fair anti-Semitism was around for thousands of years vofore that, I think, for ezample, the biblical stories of Jewis slaves in Egypt are pretty poor behaviour toward Jews.
  16. From the explanation of the frmat given on this morning, it doesn't really sound like it will be a 'debate' it sounded as though it will be just each of the seven leaders making a statement and being questioned on it by the host. If that Is right I don't think it will be particularly worthwhile.
  17. Now that it's been proven beyond any reasonable doubt that the SNP are indeed Nazis I have a decision to make. Should I change my allegiance and vote Tory (red, blue or yellow) or should I just change my shirt to a nice brown one?
  18. I have very little knowledge of Nazi iconography, clearly less than you, however I do know that the swastika is an Hindu icon and as such followers of that religion would be entitled to offence at seeing it put in a bin.
  19. My first guess would he Hindus, although I'm not sure how many of them read this forum.
  20. FFS, the trolling on here gets worse.
  21. I think you can still get it on I-player...
  22. For me the most memorable climax in sport will always be the Australia v Brazil women's beach volleyball from the London Olympics.
  23. Firstly, he didn't get sacked for gross misconduct. He is not having his contract renewed, huge difference. He will inevitably get more work if he wants it because the reference he needs to show prospective new employers is the viewing figures his show had and they will see pound sins flashing before their eyes. That's how business works, if you can make more money for your company than you cost to employ then you're worth having and if you can make a lot more than other people can then so much the better.
  24. FFS you missed me! Oh wait, maybe I wasn't in Deep Purple, perhaps it was the Sugababes I was in.
