  5. They need to go. There is no evidence that either bring anything to the party in coaching. On the pitch - Goodwin has let us down badly with his indiscipline, Teale plays the lazy ball everytime (return to sender & into empty spaces) and hides. We need either to take responsibility and make things happen for the team. Neither do.
  6. I note in his update on 7/11 TC said “I think the games against Partick they always produce goals, we know that, that’s been our experience with them. They are a good side, they like coming here [to St Mirren Park] because I’ve spoke to Alan about it, they like playing football on our terrific pitch.” Something else poor TC has to contend with Sack the Groundsman – Plant potatoes. (Un)level the playing field.
  7. After having heard the usual post match guff (inability to score/dominated possession etc) I took time to consider my views and not react while angry. I know everyone seems to blame the forwards for not scoring. But I have looked at TC's stats as a manager and as he has been a manager in his own right now for a total of 34 games not only has he only won 6 (at 17.65%) his teams have failed to score in 19 (55.88%) of them and kept only 4 (11.76%) clean sheets. I watched on Saturday and after a few minutes, I could not work out what formation we were meant to be playing. Schoolboy tactics totally down to the management team. I don't see how the BOD could expect anything other than what is happening and I don't blame TC, JG or GT got accepting the jobs. They need to clear out now. TC nneds to go before we are cut adrift and his assistants can go as well. They are not contributing anything tactically. JG has let us down to many times. I have defended him through thick and thin but enough is enough. as for GT, his play on Saturday can be best described as lazy. When he got the ball, if he was under any pressure he put it straight back to whoever have it to him. If he has space he just knocked it into emply space to pass the buck. As i said lazy play. In the circumstances, we needed our most experienced player to want the ball and to make things happen not hide. They can all go, When Motherwell get their new manager, there will be at least another 49 to choose from. Even Thommo as a modern thinker, eloquent speaker and having played at the top recently would be (have been) a better punt with goodwill and credibility with the support. How about David Longwell (now fully qualified) as his 1st team coach. At lease a "Cheap" option with potential, qualifications and credibility.
  8. When we get a boy into the 1st team do we not just give him a 1 year contract or 1 with an option for 1? Then when he comes good, he is out of contract? S McGinn, Lapin, McLean (nearly), J McGinn come to mind. (Everyone under Gus!!) Hardly Longwell's fault.
  9. What? A manager qualified in the modern game? Who has a team that seems well drilled with each player knowing their role and communicating with each other? Whose team try to pass the ball forward quickly and create chances? Knows how to develope young players? Naw - Fantasy football. will never work! Well done David. As always a credit to the club.

  13. I had a rare oppertunity to see the Developement squad play and I was impressed with the way they played. There was a clearly discernible formation 4-2-3-1, The full backs were continually looking to get forward when we had possession but tracked back at speed when we didn't. We were always looking to pass the ball forward and/or wide quickly and players were interchanging as necessary. The 2 centre halves were constantly talking to each other and one allways attacked the ball and the other dropped in behind. The one at the back always talking and taking command. Well done David Longwell. Then watched the first team - Can't see any pattern. Bye Bye Tommy & Co.

Who played a disciplined 2 banks of 4 while we had McLean playing ping pong with the central defenders before playing a 40 yard diagonal to anyone except Kelly who was always free on the left touchline. When did we give any striker a clear chance to have the luxury of a decent attempt? By the way what's a shot??????
  15. TC still Totally Clueless GT unfit-legs gone- terrible distribution JG if he doesn't dive in brings a bit of organisation. Keep one get rid of two. One good half does not make problems disappear.

  20. Exactly and he switched off and allowed the boy who scored, who he was right beside, move away from him open up a 3/4 yard gap and have a free shot from the rebound. I know Kello sjhould have at least pushed the ball wide, but cheessy just switched off and watched it all unfold. No what I expect hrom our CH and main man in defence. And he was "at his best" So he was at least in part culpable for all 3 goals we have lost in the league.
  21. I believe it is to help the ball move. It runs better on a slick surface. Most ground to this before the game and at half time.
  22. Agree with this. Disagree that he was good in the first half. Backs off to many times and frequently left Naismith exposed and totally backed off for 20 yards to give the boy a free run at goal for the first. I'm sure he couldn't believe his luck. He has no game awareness and most of his passes out of defence were to slow and just came straight back to him as the receiving player was under pressure (credit to Hamilton). I've read debate with interest and not commented because I support anyone in B&W. However those who defend him no matter what only seem to have the fall back that he supports Saints and loves the club. So do I. Can I get a game please (5ft 9, 17 stone & 57) Not blaming him for defeat as tactics were a complete shambles, everyone was rotten (possibly except Plummer & Tess) and was left wondering what they do actually practice at Ralston. If the other boy from Man City was at the game, I bet he couldn't get to the airport quick enough.
