  1. A lot will depend on the SFA's cunning plan for reconstruction. If that goes ahead then the newco may well end up in SPL1 or 2.
  2. Pretty sure Jock Wallace was after McLean.
  3. So basically bluto was wrong. Paddy Power were doing 6/1 for the field against scumgers in the 3rd div. Stuck a fiver on it for fun.
  4. What's the latest then....last I saw was that they were trying to get a temporary license for Sunday's game and I heard that was played?
  5. 87 is up the west end...or down the eest end....sure of it....although there is a place in the south side like it too.
  6. The thread appears to have gone wildly off track...where's tedious tom? Stu makes some good points about the community side of St Mirren. However, it is hardly justification for handing control of the club over to an underfunded, underplanned scheme.....Stu's increasingly frustrated rants suggest to me that REA has been blowing smoke up Stu's arse telling him that everything he says is wonderful and that all his great ideas would be able to be realised under community ownership. I am sure that there are quite a few genuine St Mirren fans suffering from the same levels of delusion, duped by their own enthusiasm. Its been a tactic of 10000 hrs to listen to fans woes about the club and turn them back to them as being realisable as fans will be able to have the club that they want; however the structure and process proposed never really allowed for that sort of revolution at the club. The community blah, blah should really be a separate discussion on general discussion. The music club now defunct was funded through the street stuff programme. That runs in 3 month chunks at the mercy of the Local Area Committees nose in the trough types. I really like the street stuff programme. It ensures St Mirren presence in our communities and makes us high profile at events like the switch on / sma' shat day, etc. We now have Music Box, which is centrally funded...and as such has less of a local flavour to it, which I reckon explains in small part the lack of numbers. Hopefully the current summer event will have better numbers as the guys are decent teachers and the kids that are attending are enjoying it. Sid Jnr attended some of the summer / spring events on the football side. He enjoyed them; however as Stu points out, when they are over, they are over. I actually think that he makes a very good point about linking the kids into local teams once the course is over. However, that is just a small bit of feedback for the club. Arguing for the club to be put at risk on a fanciful fan ownership venture on that alone is f"kwittery of the highest order. Get on the phone to Gary and he will take it all on board and might even look to get your ideas on it rather than greet down the phone to REA about how unfair it is and allow him to manipulate your frustrations with the club into £10-a-month for the next ten years. If you want to get involved in the St Mirren community then volunteer. I would be shocked to my boots if you were turned away. Do we really need to take on £1.5Million worth of debt to get closer to the club? Nope....if it were to happen you would end up with a few nutters like Stu getting involved and then going in the huff when something didn't go their way. You will then be left with the hardcore nose in the troughers with a free hand to rip the arse right out of the club as happens with any democratically run bawbaggery...renfrewshire cnutcil being a prime example. Spike Milligan would boak at what is being proposed at SMFC.
  7. Yes, REA cannae even meet his own target dates never mind predict when somebody else will buy the club.
  8. Your £10-a-month is not the issue. It is what it allows 10000 hrs to do. Without it they have no funding to progress a bid that many fans - even those subscribing, fear will put the club at risk. You are quite correct that the CIC Shite Brigade are not presenting an argument in support of their "£10-a-month" punt with the future of the club - they don't have a positive argument to make - hence all the naughty abusive posts towards posters that dare ask questions regarding 10000 hrs financial capacity.
  9. More hysterical nonsense from the fishal sites CIC-cheerleading bully. For clarification....I read the article...it was shit. I have read better blah, blah from SNP cnutcillors.
  10. You're a good soul reborn saint. However, men of integrity and honour can very quickly be compromised by pride and ambition. I also find the faux integrity of modern business practise boakworthy...."might no lie, but I don't need to tell the truth either"...."economic with the truth", etc, etc. The initial plans for the CIC were good. They appeared to have significant financial backing and had a lot of positive values underpinning the plan. As the wishful thinking nature of the financial backing became more apparent the positive values of the plan became compromised. I'm not even sure it was an opportunity missed as we never really heard from the social funders - we'll never know how close or far we actually were at that point. Once that funding was lost REA should have held his hands up and walked away. To be fair I think he became a victim of his own blah, blah. When the initial plan promised so much for St Mirren and the community, and having built up so many peoples' hopes it will be difficult to back away from it.
  11. SMiSA is for St Mirren supporters Stu.....the clue is in the name.
  12. Great song....next time Craig Burley is commentation at SMP the people in the back rows of the West Stand should lip sync it at him.
  13. All depends...Ricky Gillies was in the PDE today rambling on about the £1.1Million black hole again. If the "bidder with no name" turns out to be a lot of shite then the selling consortium will need to get the hat out to fans again. That would be the opportunity to break the 52% shareholding. There was also much ramblings from what may have been GLS / KMG aliases that the selling consortium is not that secure....an approach to one or two of the ones gagging to sell with an offer could quickly break the selling consortium wide open. The 1,100 £10-a-month is a pretty high bargaining chip....the issue we have is that it is no controlled by fans. Switch it to SMiSA and suddenly we have a more direct fans negotiating position. As it stands 10000 hrs are acting very much own interests and that of Bii rather than the fans or the club.
  14. Hasselbaink having issues with his pre-season fitness apparently...was he injured or is he back on the kebabs and bongs?
  15. How do you know that the new, potentially made up bidder, has taken 3 years to sort out "his" bid?
  16. The message from REA was not to discuss the "process".
  17. Already deal with in response to another less bile-fuelled post.
  18. You're emphasising the fact that 10000 hrs couldn't even manage to get funding in place when a known scoundral and banned director managed it. sir david murray & Lloyds were desparate.....hopefully our BoD are less so. However, I share your concerns, which is why I beleive that we should start building up a crisis fund with SMiSA asap. The "bidder with no name" might turn out to be great for the club; however some cash in the bank with SMiSA for a rainy day would be a wise move at this point. In the unlikely event that 10000 hrs got control it will definitely be required.
  19. The 10000 hrs cheerleaders are getting weirder and weirder.....10000 hrs plan is to have St Mirren fans pay off loans and payouts to shareholders over 10 years over and above their season tickets....and if the club runs into trouble....guess what, they'll start a blanco bawbag fund so the fans can manage the cashflow crisis as well. The faceless appears to either have his own cash to invest or at least the credability to raise the finance from the commercial world to fund the purchase. Something 10000 hrs have spectacularly failed to do. And lets not forget...the bidder may yet be more made up shite from the selling consortium / 10000 hrs. It is a wee bit early to be writing off bids that may not even actually exist.
  20. 48 hours have passed now since Green made his statement about the license being sorted out within 24 hours.
