Fantastic news. Having a very good number 1 actually signed and not rushing around finding a loanee will be a big boost. BUT. What does this mean for young Urminsky? He's now around the 26 mark and is still the proverbial best man, never the groom.

I know his team are likely to win the treble but, REALLY??? Rodgers, Gray & McGlynn shortlisted for manager of the year - BBC Sport Gray and McGlynn. Yes. But with a massive budget does Rogers deserve to even be nominated? I'd question his abilities if he didn't manage to get close to winning everything in Scotland.

I didn't know that, obviously, but it is great news. He's a quality player with the heart of a lion.

I know it's out of our hands but, if at all possible, I'd push the boat, the dinghy and the kitchen sink out to get Phillips to stay.

St Mirren v Aberdeen, Sat 3rd May
stlucifer replied to faraway saint's topic in Matchday & Travel Club
Due to bad planning this will be my last home game of the season. Hopefully a winning finale and someone getting the use of our STs for the Hibs game. Also hoping, against hope, the game has meaning as far as league position is concerned. There is no reason to think a win is beyond us so, unusually, I will give a prediction. 2-1 Saints. -
Good luck to Toyosi. A great piece of business by Saints and a great opportunity for him. I have to say. It's not a place I would feel comfortable going to work with all the noises coming from over there with this strange administration but I'm sure it'll be different for a professional "soccer player".

St Mirren v Rangers Sat 26th April

That would equate to a win in the zombies' eyes. I am not religious in any way but I still think the pope was an important part of many lives in this country so I say. We give a minutes applause and, if they disrupt it, the players in their team that are practicing catholics, (it looks like there are a few given the crossing when entering the field of play), will see what a disgusting, sectarian, dead club they have chosen to play for. Just for the cash. -
Went along with the Geniffer Thistle under 16s to the Netherlands for the Holland cup. Unfortunately, a bad cold had me under the weather all through the trip. The weather was great throughout. The lads did really well to get to the final before finally losing to a team from Newcastle. A team they had already triumphed over with relative ease in the earlier rounds. Such a disappointment, but a big well done to all who participated. On the plus side. The parents knew how to enjoy the surroundings and were great company

Paisley - My Pics Of Old Or Unusual Buildings Or Places Of Interest.

Let's be honest. He couldn't be any worse. -
True. But having such evil watching over? He'll be turning in his grave. Coffin.
-
As I said. He was getting plaudits, and not JUST for the Celtic game, before his injury but, when he came back, he looked afraid to turn and run and didn't seem to want to get involved. In the last few games he has shown glimpses of his old self. If he had scored a dozen goals he wouldn't be with us now. Look at what's happening with Olusanya without double figures in the league.

It is great to have 3 home games but that was always going to be the case. An extra one v Hibs though. Maybe we'll burst the Gray bubble. The bit in bold? I don't believe we've ever done that in the whole of their thirteen year existence. 🤔

Ayunga is only now starting to show what he had a couple of seasons ago before his injury. I was talking with some cellicfootballclub fans who were waxing lyrical about how he played against them then and how he played on Saturday. Albeit the latter was probably on the strength of what little highlights they saw.

Club taking control of 1877 Supporters Bar 25/26
stlucifer replied to GeordieBuddie's topic in General St. Mirren Discussion
I have never been a member of the supporters club but, at worst, the current club members should be able to purchase their seasonal tickets at the same price with no more than an inflationary rise. -

Hell. The whole of the West bank is in that picture. Me included. In fact the only one not in the picture was probably Elvis as the camera didn't have a wide enough angle to see that far East! 🤣 -

I know we're all rightly praising the two wonder strikes for the first and third but, on reflection, Ayunga's goal was just as good as. if you look back at it. he deliberately stalls slightly to remain on side. His timing was perfect. -

It's days like this that make supporting Saints special. And what a goal to claim the top six spot. A goal worthy of winning any game. As has been said. The atmosphere at the end of the game was tremendous and, given the way it was won, the players, coaches and fans deserved to celebrate as we did. -

No matter what else happens we really need to win this one to settle the nerves. If Hearts don't win then the rest of our season is a chance to blood youngsters as 6th would likely be the best we'll do. Hearts win and we start the last 5 games with some extra points on the board and one more team needing more than 4 points to overtake us. -
Fantastic result. Not one I was expecting but what a way to end a hoodoo. For those watching from afar. Was it a penalty for Killie as it looked to me like Taylor just got in front of the player? It almost. I say, almost put a dampener on proceedings. Anyway. Controlled the game under very poor conditions. I was surprised Kilmarnock didn't make us swap ends at the start.

According to the Beeb, it looks like perma injured Iacovetti has broken down again. Bwomono out too. Heard nothing about Boyd-Munce. I really can't see us managing anything on Saturday. No defence. No attack. Midfield down by at least a couple. I can't see us coping with these minuses.
