  1. I'm just applying your "thick as shit" appraisal techniques to other methods used by clubs. Also, I'm giving zero evidence to support my howling derision, which I thought you'd be impressed with.
  2. The thing that produces world class players is coaching. Sports science ensures players are in the optimum condition in terms of fitness, long term physical health and wellbeing. But we never had it when Celtic won the European Cup in 67, or when Aberdeen won the Cup Winners Cup in 83 or when Scotland qualified for 5 World Cups in a row so it must be a loada shite. Best to leave competitive advantages to others...
  3. We've had goalkeeping coaches at most large Scottish clubs for the last 10 to 20 years and I can't find any evidence of success. Where are all the successes despite the cost of these goalkeeping coaches? It's called looking at the evidence and making myopic, boneheaded conclusions...
  4. Don't know what a sports scientist does, so despite all other top clubs having them we shouldn't bother...
  5. Let's see if we can cope without his influence and leadership. Hasn't had the same effect this season, at a higher level. Time for others to step up.
  6. Always liked Junior. His pace helped propel us to the title, regardless of what came after. Some fantastic strikes as well. Only good memories for me.
  7. That was the reason I posted on this thread... There was some discussion of it earlier in the topic.
  8. Great to see we've brought Junior Mendes in as our new sports scientist.
  9. IT is all about our approach on Saturday for me. If we go with the same attitude as the weekend just past, we'll do well. We really do need to get ourselves hyped up for this one, get motivated as it is our biggest match of the season so far.
  10. And you're stupid enough to start throwing insults around for no particular reason. Subsequent posts have gone back to his normal snide nonsense, but the opener was as positive as I've seen from him, so I gave credit for that. Oh and I only need to read things once - it's a talent I have...
  11. Same old? You mean giving credit for a positive post while expressing my surprise? Not sure what the "Stubb Duds" pish is that you're on about. I'll go back to ignoring you.
  12. I'm astonished. A positive post which doesn't have an obvious agenda to have a go at someone else... Seriously though - keep it up.
  13. Yes, McShane did well, and is great to have in there for his dead ball prowess. Hopefully he gets more of a run - was a big part of the championship season, helping to get us into the position we were in before Flynn came in and took his place.
  14. This was my take. Edwards gives great energy, a real nuisance to the opposition, but so many moves broke down when the ball reached him. If he could just play a simple pass then get going to receive a return rather than trying to things he isn't capable of he would be of far more use.
  15. 1. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't there. 2. There is an actual link in the previous posts to the post from Graeme McPherson - all you need to do is click on it... 3. Stewart Gilmour is nothing to do with the club anymore - why are you paying any particular heed to a comment from him? 4. My point is that the manager, who is surely the only source anyone needs, has said there is no issue with him. This is my last word on it - I'll pass the baton on to some other poor soul to try to get you to grasp the simplest of facts.
  16. FFS - why can't you just admit you got it wrong. Happens to us all sometimes. Nobody is going to spoon feed you everything - all the information you need has already been posted.
  17. The original post was about 4 positives. You stated Celtic were "on the crest of a slump". They weren't. The end.
  18. Straight from the manager's mouth. How official do you want it to be?
  19. I really don't get using Morton defeats as a source of glee. Their results mean almost nothing to me.
  20. They won 6 out of the 7 games either side of the game against us, with a defeat away to Killie the only blot in that series of games. They weren't blowing teams away, but were winning consistently. Why can't we take the credit for a performance where we nullified them? Doesn't happen often, so I'll take the plaudits the club got every time it does.
  21. It's been posted above, via twitter. The journalist Graeme McPherson commenting on press conference where Kearney was asked about McGinn - it's all in many of the posts above this one.
  22. Sandwiched in between home wins over Rangers and Kilmarnock - I'd kill for us to have a slump like that...
  23. I think it's more the fact that McGinn appears bulletproof to some. Every player should fear for their place when on a run such as the one we're on. Be interesting to see the lineup for tomorrow. With no Hodson to call on we're light in the full back area, which would suggest a back three again, with McGinn at RWB and possibly Edwards on the left. I'd have Mullen and Jackson up front, and draw names out of a hat for the three midfield berths...
