  1. Well here's a season defining 45 minutes approaching if I've ever seen one. By all accounts in the main stand Goodwins red card was incorrect, we move on and discuss that after the game. For now we have 10 men and we are defending a 2 goal lead against the worst attack in the league, and we are doing well so far. If I had to pick 1 team in the league to defend a 2 goal lead with 10 men, I'd pick Hibs. We need to believe we will win this, we can win this. Would you have taken a 2 goal lead and a man down at half time? I would have. Believe in us, it's here. Come on you Saints!
  2. I don't think we will lose. Great day for football today. If you're in the area and at a loose end... get yourself to the game! Comeeee onnnn youuuu Saaaaints.
  3. Jeez, we aren't still comparing the results of a multi party parliamentary vote to a two choice referendum, are we? Completely irrelevant comparison. Yes voters clinging to that as an example of a huge swing sadly don't know what they're talking about.
  4. I quoted Elvis not you! I agree with your post, this incentive is great news for us. Hibs fans get two games for the price of one, except they pay us full price and give Hibs nothing for the two games. Hopefully this means a bigger travelling support and more money coming our way. What do you think we should do then? Turn the away fans and their money away despite us having ample room for them in the ground? Madness. We've won two games on the bounce twice already this season, not bad for a club in our position, so not sure what your last point is based on. Agreed. In reality though, we never have nearly enough home fans to fill the West stand, so having away fans in W8 is better than having no fans at all. Hopefully he makes it! Dilo was playing in the youth cup, can't imagine he'd be risked unless we thought Kello would be available for the weekend.
  5. This initiative is nothing to do with us, just Hibs. I see you're getting your knickers in a twist about this on PNB aswell, what do you think we are doing wrong here?
  6. Is it? We have the same GD as Partick Thistle. Also, we're only 3 worse than County. A 2-0 win for us at home to County is a 4 goal swing so 3 goals isn't that big a gap.
  7. Exactly. The consequences for that regions economy would be devastating if the Nat Clowns get their way. Thankfully, they won't. Another new poll released today has more good news for our union of nations. 47-37 to the good guys. Support for separation down 2 points from this time last month: http://bettertogether.net/blog/entry/campaign-to-keep-scotland-in-the-uk-increases-lead-new-poll-reveals Can't wait for September!

Thot Fletch done well tonight actually. Definitely one of United's better players when he's fit.

Is it? 0-0 suits Bayern just fine. It's up to Man U to come out on the front foot.
  10. I'd be astounded if he goes to the new club. He's far too good for them, like most of our players are to be fair. They're just a nothing 3rd tier team.
  11. Great news. He is your archetypal 15-20 goal a season man at this level, which we have seen in each of his 3 seasons with us. As we well know, these players are hard to find. Remarkably, for a player his age he's never had a serious injury in his time here. I think he has at least 2 more seasons in him at this level, and I hope he thinks that too. We need to get someone in next year to take the load off him though. I know it was meant to be Bahoken this year, and that hasn't worked. Next year we need an experienced back up to give Thommo a rest. It will be better for us and him if he isn't forced into playing 90 minutes virtually every week.
  12. Ipswich would be the best bet for him IMO. He's not good enough for the EPL, at least not yet anyway. Although I'm not surprised he's been linked with these clubs after his MOTM performance on Saturday. His set piece delivery at the weekend was of devastating quality. I think he'd play regularly at Portman Road and could maybe make it in the EPL and for Scotland if he was playing week in week out at that level for a while.
  13. Another great post by a separate Thistle poster on PNB today, the luvvies are great for the football geekery if nothing else: There we have it, 37 probably does it, 38 and 39 almost definitely do it. Not banking on it as such, i just feel it's a game we should definitely be looking at getting something from. I'm far more confident at getting something there than i would be at any other team in the bottom 6, including Hearts. Of our first 3 games (Hibs, Thistle and County) i think 6 points is very, very achievable, and if we get that we probably won't need to get anything in Kilmarnock or in the final game at home to Hearts.
  14. A win would be tremendous but I'd probably take a point now to be honest. County and Thistle are both away from home so will hopefully both lose. A loss would be pretty disastrous. It's definitely more a must not lose game than must win game.
  15. Well Neil had been caretaker manager for half a season before getting the gig full time.
  16. If we get 6 or more points from Hibs (h), Thistle (a) and County (h) then the Killie game will just be a relaxed party... For us anyway
  17. Thistle fan posted an interesting table on PNB. If the results for all teams go the way they did in the first round of fixtures (We win at Partick and home to Ross Co, lose at Killie, and draw at home to Hibs and Hearts) then the final table will look like this: Killie 42 Saints 39 Hibs 38 County 37 Thistle 35 Hearts 18 Doesn't look too unrealistic to me, and I'd certainly take that. I think 37 points would do it, and we have 31 just now. Beat Hibs a week Saturday and win at Firhill 6 days later and we're safe.
  18. Wouldn't change mine. Even if we do finish 7th, the mess he made of his signings this year and the dreadful performances in the cup means he really has no case for a new contract.
  19. Why aiming so low? We are 3 points behind 7th, if we finish there it would be our highest finish in the top flight for over 25 years. I see no reason why we can't finish there. We have the momentum and favourable post split fixtures.
  20. Nice to have a week off after a win. If Hibs win tomorrow you think they're probably safe, if they don't win they'll come into this match right in the mix with the pressure on. I think we will win regardless, and I think we will beat Thistle the following Friday too. 6 points from 6 and we will be all but safe after the Firhill game.
  21. I've told you before, I'll tell you again. Listen to your Lex. You're lucky I like your posts and didn't want you to stop posting ;)
  22. Full time 3-2 Unbelievable and glorious. Enjoy your night! YESSS!!
  23. Into 3 minutes of added time. Hold it now.
