I guess the answer is that now there are “voting blocks” that carry percentage (ie SMiSA’s 51%) and don’t really require the “show of hands” as before

So maybe, just maybe, the last great club that fell on it's arse was just a few miles up the road who's fans never asked enough questions.....other than being a SMiSA member and having a few original shares, pre-SMiSA, I have no real skin in the game but, f**k me, to not at least ask questions is bat-shit crazy. I love the fact that we are top six and maybe heading for Europe (I've done all that before right enough) but would swap all of that for survival, we nearly lost all of that before. I'm not for a second suggesting that that's where we are but to not ask questions, especially when we are apparently fan owned, is beyond due diligence. I don't know AW personally but I've been around the club for a long time and don't believe he'd do anything deliberately to harm St Mirren. The "nothing to see here" argument falls on it's fat arse every time and everything, in good business, is challenged every time....it's why it works. FFS…..they brought on Hagi, Raskin and Arfield, we had no one near that quality on our bench. The work rate was always going to see a dip in tempo towards the end. We don’t have anywhere near the quality they have to bring on at 75 minutes and that’s the big difference.

Without the reliance on “membership fees “ (your term not mine) the club wouldn’t be (51%) owned by the supporters….there are a number of issues that require addressing but that has always been the case. I have reservations about how the club move forward but that’s been true for 54 years.

The game is however far more athletic and faster…..common injury types have changed a lot from the 70’s to the current day. What would be interesting to know, and I haven’t looked into this, would be distance covered in a season between the two sports ( maybe even include training). That said there is probably more twisting in Tennis which also takes it’s toll……..the only thing for certain is that to play either sport at the top level you have to be an incredible athlete. Anyway…….C’mon Andy

I think Bonzo was referring to the two younger candidates who didn't make it onto the Board through the ballot and were then, I think, latterly co-opted on to the Board.....I'm sure I read that in a SMiSA update but may be wrong 🤷‍♂️
