  1. Yeah, I think Baccus is definitely away......I'd probably be tempted to start both him and Strain tonight and give them an hour and a big ovation when they go off, both been excellent for us overall.
  2. After the behaviour of some fans re Scott I'd be inclined to do anything but give them another reason to get on his back.....I'd give him the pre-season to get his confidence back. Not so sure that Hemming is "committed" to leaving although that will be the decision of his parent club.
  3. I do think you sometimes see it as a "one-side" issue and Independence followers are the problem, that said my view is probably the opposite yet like you am pretty non-plussed about the situation overall 😂 With regards to your second last sentence I hope for the very opposite but agree in whole re your last sentence (if you flip it round a bit) 🍺🍺
  4. I'm sure it's me FS but not quite getting the point here........are you suggesting that the drop in standards is down to some people wanting Independence?? If the drop is in living standards then that can only, in the main, be dropped at the Tory door. Every penny Scotland gets to look after it's population is determined and dictated by Westminster other than the bit of revenue it can raise through the small allowable Tax Change which is largely spent on trying to look after the residents of Scotland. There are many things I disagree with the Scottish Government (SNP) on but the majority of the current shit-show is down to the Tory Party and Brexit IMO.
  5. Again though, despite the result in 2014, SNP became more popular subsequently…….should Independence come about the shape of the SNP would have to change, indeed there is an argument that they should no longer be needed
  6. I agree re the Britain part but surely the same must apply to the SNP on a Scottish basis, there have been more than a few shortcomings this last while and that will be Swinney’s biggest challenge.

    Aye, it's normally you 😇
  8. Imagine that, yours’s has gone already 🤷‍♂️
  9. Looks perfect FS, the amazing thing is that if anyone had offered that to any of us 30 years ago we’d have run to the hills ……. Scotland is a beautiful place, I guess sometimes we’re too young to realise it
  10. Enjoy FS, fingers crossed all goes smoothly.....
  11. Controversial I'll give you but the bit in bold is nonsense.....do you really reckon in a normal quarterly block there'd only be ten obvious errors. I'm not sure how I feel about VAR but I do feel the implementation could be better and wish we could hear the on/off field discussions a bit more like they do in rugby. At least then we'd know about the content and context of their decision making.
  12. Out of interest Baz what were the stats pre VAR for positive/negative impacts on games through mistakes made be referees…..I’m not arguing for or against VAR but with nothing to measure it against your point loses strength.
  13. Strangely, from a points perspective, Hearts have been the biggest beneficiaries over that same period .
  14. In fairness FS that's always been your opinion re Independence and that's your right.......it may be, or not, that you are fitting the narrative to your opinion. I think jettisoning The Greens, for some people, will make SNP more attractive. I haven't seen an Independence Poll since Yousef made his announcements re Bute House Agreement or his resignation but they've all been bouncing around 50/50 for quite a while. The fact that you could fit a sheet of paper between Tory and Labour Policy at the moment doesn't make either of them very attractive at the moment, not that SNP are any better or worse.
  15. Don't disagree in any way but it would be naive to think these conversations weren't in play pre announcement re Bute House Agreement........I have no real time for Salmond as I think he's a sleaze-ball but he is a good orator and a crafty politician.
  16. I think they’ve had to ditch the Greens as it’s harming them with undecided voters….id guess there have already been behind the scene talks with Alba to make sure the inevitable “no confidence” vote is as secure as it can be
  17. I'd certainly prefer Tierney where he is but he's possibly more replaceable at LCB than Hickey is at RWB. Flights to Stuttgart all sorted, Motorhome booked and pick-up arranged with 70% of our berths booked.....trying to leave a little flexibility between games to maybe head into Black Forest area etc. Can't wait for it to be honest although a little concerned about two weeks in a confined space with the Mrs and our youngest (20yo) daughter
  18. Aye, hopefully Hickey can get fit (I prefer him to Patterson) but even if he's 90% fit this allows us to take him and someone else (Stephen O'Donnell probably if history is anything to go by). It could also allow us to push Tierney over to RWB if required.
  19. I think in our case it's more about cover and might allow us to take a risk on a player who is recovering from injury and "might" just make it.
  20. I don’t know if he’s bought it or renting but he’s definitely moved into a house close to a Buddie of mine in the last couple of weeks.
  21. For all that is true I remember reading all the same last year about how teams would improve and we'd struggle if we stood still. We are where we are this year through good coaching and most of the players playing well most of the time....it'll ever be thus.
  22. Could it be Stav, I'm sure his club said they were hopeful he may get an opportunity either with another club in the top division or the championship
  23. Incorrect, what I don’t quite get is the glee you express when you perceive something has gone wrong
