  1. Quite abusive. Any reason why in particular?
  2. The only way he'd have gone abroad was if he was going to Torremolinos.
  3. Really sad, but true unfortunately. Anyone who thinks we're going back to the top flight any time soon is kidding themselves on.
  4. A lesson for any team on how to get yourself out the shit. Only a few weeks ago Leicester City were rooted to bottom spot on 19 points, well adrift of safety, and looking doomed. Now, with 2 games remaining, they're 15th on 37 points after 6 wins in the last 7 games. The way the players have fought for each other has been exactly what we wanted to see from St.Mirren in recent weeks, but just hasn't been there. The atmosphere in the stadium in this last few games has been absolutely electric, as good as I've ever seen or heard. Simple little things. There's an ex-player, Alan Birchenall, on the pitch every week rallying the fans, there's always guests on the pitch getting interviewed. This week, Paul Walsh, a hero to the fans, and Tom & Serge from Kasabian. The club have put those cardboard 'clapper' things on everyone's seat for the last few games and the noise they make is unbelievable! But ultimately the players have created the atmosphere with spirited, fighting, attacking performances, which the fans have responded to. It's been brilliant, and it looks very very likely now that there'll still be Premier League football at the King Power next season. And as happy as that makes me, it also adds to the frustration I feel at how meekly St.Mirren have capitulated this season. It shows you're never beaten if you show the right attitude, spirit, desire, and have the board, managers and players all fighting for the same thing, and helping each other achieve it. It's been a great few weeks to be living in Leicester.
  5. Can't really see anything other than a defeat by a few goals to be honest. Probably another 3-0 or thereabouts. If you're the kind of person who can handle betting against your own team stick a bet on Ross Co at -1 or -2. You'll get decent odds. I wouldn't be able to bring myself to do it though.
  6. But they've never won the Premier League, the Scottish Cup, or the League Cup. So, at the moment, they've only ever won 2 trophies, the 4th and 3rd tier titles.
  7. Morrisons for me personally. Great fresh bread counter. Although I don't wear a Morrisons scarf or badge.
  8. How about.....no? Seriously, you're comparing people buying Apple products to people who support football teams?? It's not even remotely similar!
  9. I wouldn't want shot of him anyway. Think he's doing a decent job under difficult circumstances.
  10. Us - shite. Leicester City - shi.......wait a minute!!! ;-) My season - TBC
  11. There's an enormous difference though between football 'customers' and customers elsewhere.Plenty of people are regular customers at Asda. However, they don't cheer when Asda is doing well. They don't buy and wear replica Asda uniforms to wear when they go to Asda. They don't contribute to Asda forums to praise or bemoan the condition of the food aisles or checkout service. They don't sing songs about how much they love Asda. They don't pay money upfront every year for the pleasure of going to Asda. Football fans are not customers. They are people who to one degree or another buy into the very fabric of a club through years of commitment and passion and love for what it represents to them and their community. Incidentally, I think he had a good point too, so looks like we're in agreement in any case!
  12. For 'investors' in our case, read 'fans'. Think that's the point he's trying to make.
  13. Couldn't agree more.If Carlsberg made football seasons....
  14. We've been operating on a Championship budget for the last 2 seasons I reckon. Although probably half the clubs in that league will operate on a better budget than ours.Next season will see us budgeting more like a top half League 1 club I think.
  15. Why is there all this talk of us being some kind of perennial yo-yo team, being relegated and promoted several times!? We actually haven't been relegated very often at all in our entire history, whereas a lot of other teams have.
  16. Before the Motherwell game who'd have expected or predicted a 5-0 defeat?Hope I'm very much wrong but I can see them tearing us a new arse.
  17. I hate to say it but I can see another heavy defeat here to add to everyone's hurt. We have zero confidence, seemingly lacking in any kind of decent tactics or commitment or desire, County are the form team in Scotland, if not Britain right now, County need a result while we don't. It all points toward an embarrassing evening for us, and live on TV again. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see us losing about 0-4.
  18. Difficult tonight shull, difficult :-(
  19. I thought it was heavy rain that was the problem that day? I remember a game getting called off more recently where the car park being dangerously icy was the issue. Could be mistaken.
  20. A wee bit more to it than that. Months and months of posts seemingly unwilling to admit there are any problems.Anyway, it made you bite...
  21. Am I pished? Strange question. No, I tend not to drink at all during the week. Think it's you that needs to chill brother 'Ton ;-)
  22. Incidentally, St.Mirren fan first and foremost. Leicester City is a sideline, always will be while I live in this city.As for 'trust the board', now I'm pretty certain you're probably not a St.Mirren fan, and could well be the biggest wind up merchant Morton fan ever.
  23. I'm chilled. Completely.Interesting that you got 'your cup win' 2 years ago, and yet saw us relegated in the 70s. Weren't you there in '87?? Don't mistake my abject disappointment and annoyance for anger.
