  1. Deary me, why keep a player who wants to leave? You are right though, we were definitely winning plenty when Samson was here right enough... Oh and FYI we have 2 goalkeepers.
  2. Given all that’s happened I would take achieving a play off currently. Any other year either ourselves or Dundee would be well adrift, thankfully we’re both as poor as each other - 2 of the worst Premiership sides in recent memory.
  3. As the prophecy foretold. In other news, the click is against us here, need to try and create some chances.
  4. Hibs lead now, if we’re looking for positives.
  5. A broken clock is correct twice a day, as the saying goes.
  6. Feel sorry for OK - basic errors week in, week out. A fair few of this squad are in their final months of being professional footballers, and rightly so.
  7. We are as good as a goal every game, horrendous defending right from front to back.
  8. What’s worse is it’s not even sniping at the players deep down I suspect, part of an agenda against our former manager to save face for some.
  9. I’d expect Lyness to go given he nearly went to Airdrie recently anyway. King, Kpekawa, Heaton and Kirkpatrick will all surely be away. Would have had Cooke and Jones down as certainties too but both have pushed their way back into plans admirably. Smith and McShane also strong possibilities I reckon (and I suspect their reactions to being subbed recently indicate that). Can’t see Edwards or Hodson going anywhere, both are selected reguarly. Willock is a tricky one, he keeps the ball really well. Only really him, Magennis or Hammill have the ability to drive us forward with the ball, having said that he goes missing frequently through games and i’m not sure OK fancies him too much. Other than that perhaps Adam Hammill rejecting the chance to stay on? Certainly going to be an interesting window...
  10. As I said after the Hearts game - get Hammill on a longer deal. If he only does it every 3rd or 4th game he’s still worth keeping ‘til the end of the season. Disappointing result given we led twice, then again it’s Easter Road and a draw away from home is good regardless, given our poor away form. Finally, as much as our players are showing a lot more grit of late (and this could just be overriding emotion getting better of them) there is an increasing tendency of departing subs throwing toys out the pram. I don’t necessarily agree with OK sometimes but he’s the man paid to make the decisions and tonight he took off a striker for a defender to secure a point - we did this, job done.
  11. Has to be 5-3-2 and play on the counter for me. Ferdinand back in to marshal Baird and Jones. Would be good to see Eck back if he’s fit. Hope we’ve been practising set plays. Or for the love of god don’t give away any freekicks around the box.
  12. Player on loan from an English club, do we never learn... these types of signings are very hit or miss and don’t usually lend well to struggling teams with a crisis of confidence.
  13. Funnily enough I had the exact same player in mind when I posted!
  14. Some fans just have their boo boys. Baird and Stephen McGinn get it weekly too. Seen Baird reacting to a shout today from W4 incidentally, no wonder.
  15. We never learn playing against that gang do we? First of all, i’m grateful i’m not an Accies fan because they are unbelievably horrendous to watch - Dumbarton levels of bad. Secondly, it’s about time the 12 Clubs came together and put in a formal complaint about the jobsworths that ref our games. To top it all off not many of our players get pass marks today. McShane was no worse than Magennis or Paul McGinn (or indeed Edwards) today, so poor sub no 1. Hammill is our one dangerman and Jackson was ineffective yet again, hence poor sub no 2. Cooke did make a difference though and deserves another chance given his performances in the reserves too. Having said that, despite his poor use of subs i’m not going to criticise OK as he is having to deal with a very inconsistent squad of players who have no collective street-smarts about them. We are not any worse than these teams around us, but we are letting them play their game and stooping to their level. Time to start playing smart.
  16. Outstanding to a man, could’ve easily been 4 MOTM’s but ultimately the difference was Hammill - get this man on whatever contract he wants ‘til the end of the season - he could be the difference. Big shout out to Baird and Jones at the back. S. McGinn also had another great game, Erhahon was solid, McShane dug away and P. McGinn was unlucky not to be rewarded with a goal for his efforts. Could he here all day. Delighted for OK - starting to see the results of what he’s trying to achieve.
  17. Samson, a cross ball coach and a goal kick coach... that wage bill is getting larger by the second.
  18. Still at what? Doing the job he’s paid to do, which is immoral apparently.
  19. Ability aside this is poor from one of the senior members of a struggling squad. Not very inspiring from one of the guys who has played at this level before and is supposed to be helping the young lads to decide he’s offski’s just over a quarter of the way into a relegation battle... if true of course.
  20. And the forum’s Most Self Righteous Numpty Award goes to. One would assume you’d be too ashamed from your ‘tick tock’ antics to ever darken the doors of this forum again... Give it a rest.
  21. I believe a wise forum user once said we would notice something alarming when S McGinn wasn’t in the team... Think it’s time for a lot of people to wisen up: what did we expect our first season back to be (and that’s before Stubbs got his hands on our squad). This is the Premiership and this is a relegation battle, we’ve certainly experienced our fair share... would think the fans knew the script by now. I seen some negatives today and I seen some positives. I seen 11 players and a manager fighting for the badge, can’t really ask for much more than that.
  22. He never left his line is the answer to that question, of course.
