Wilbur
Just something that has puzzled me for many years .......... The first St Mirren manager I can remember from my 'childhood' was Doug Millward. All I can remember about DM is that he was English and that he was our manager about the time of the 1966 World Cup in England. But that's more or less the limit of my recollection of him. He only lasted a season or two in Paisley. I often wondered how it came about that he landed the post of St Mirren manager as I can't find any previous link between DM and Scottish football. Do any of my fellow auld guys (maybe HSS or billy g , etc) have any background info to fill this gap in my St Mirren knowledge?
