    9. St.Mirren For Sale

      The majority shareholding in the club was up for sale for 7 years! Eventually the shareholding was purchased by Gordon Scott and SMiSA in July 2016 with almost 1300 supporters contributing to the successful bid.

      This forum is now really just an archive of some of the threads that took place in that 7 year period.  ps; Anyone mentions the Argies they get banned.

      Like much of last season, we are experiencing a bad home record, very worrying. More so is the fact we are the leagues lowest scorers, not surprising though as we are continuing to play without a centre forward. That’s about three seasons now ! By this time next week we could be in further trouble and out of the Scottish cup unless a goal scorer is signed.

      Losing pretty much the whole midfield has caused us a major issue currently, how many teams our size can handle losing Baccus, O'Hara, Gogic (ok just for yesterday), Donnelly and Philips. We were doing well up to Philips getting injured yesterday then we lost all cohesion and ran around chasing shadows. Thought Campbell looked ok for someone not match fit and dropped into yesterdays nightmare. if Philips joins Baccus and O'hara on the longer term crocks we need a loan or player in to help out. Taylor had some great touches but without a Baccus , philips or O'hara type to do alot of the dig then he was struggling. We have a cup but we also have a horrendous injury list for a squad our size.
