I see they're actually celebrating there was only 19 arrests (so far), some of which was for (alleged) sectarian abuse. And we got the usual "majority" were well behaved BS. How many arrests were there yesterday? Should we really be applauding the fact a majority can attend a football game and not sing "party songs" or worse?

I wasn't saying good riddance when Gowser was not offered a new contract. I doubt anyone was. His off field record, the distinct possibility he'll be doing time very shortly, and the young midfielders coming through all point to why he was let go.

If we're going for a new manager who can "wheel and deal" he's going to have to be damn good at it. And fast. We're more than half way through the window so any new guy is going to assess the squad and bring in 3 or 4 new guys in the space of a few weeks. The BoD really have made a rip roaring cnt of this season.

I remember them (Chic and co.) talking about the Argentine bid a while back and they ridiculed it. They seem to have changed their point of view quite spectacularly.

Any potential manager worth his salt would've been watching us this season (especially over the last few weeks) that way when he goes into the interview he could confidently give his vision and outline what he thinks we need.

Experienced players, even on "frees" still cost a lot of money. Bigger wages and signing on fees. The players brought through the academy will represent value for money in the savings from the higher wages and fees.

The money won't go to the club though. It would go to whoever owned the shares. It's a power struggle to gain ownership of a sinking ship. Gawd knows why (other than property development....)
