Thompson is not ready to manage. Has to learn his trade under an experienced manager then one day manage St Mirren. You have to learn your trade and unfortunately there are very few who can come out of playing professionally and go straight to managing a full time club. Only person recently who has done well at this is Alex Neill. Murray is out of his depth and should never have got the job. It would have made more sense to get an experience manager and promote within for the coaching roles. Look at Giggs he is learning his trade a better player managed by the best ever but decides a number 2 role to learn his trade. Anyway hopefully the board will eventually learn from mistakes that cutting corners is not the best thing to do as you lose more money than you gain for example losing games means less through the turnstiles and paying managers off costs money

Do you not think it would make more of a cost effective solution to put a more experienced manager instead if loads of assistants to help an inexperienced manager. I think its a joke our board have given job to an apprentice

No not to many players come close to showing the same enthusiasm for our club as a player. Last year Jim had a difficult year some forget this and I for one commend him for not speaking to the press. Last year was horrible at st mirren and Jim has worked hard on all aspects of his game. Some said he was slow well from the games I have seen this year his fitness is at its best. On his discipline he has also worked hard and think he has done really well. I cannot see him getting sent off this year. Get him signed up now as I think he will have offers from others very soon and I think we will miss what he brings

Give Marc peace. He is no longer at the club. Every week he would get the blame at St Mirren and even now when he is away some choose to say how awful he played. Although an experienced number 2 sounds great why would someone with more experience be happy as number 2. No just get rid of both of them and have one really great manager and promote number 2 within to save money

No we started the free fall as soon as we were in the cup final, manager was already looking shakey and if we had not been in final may have lost his job that season. The problem lies with who the board keep appointing as manager.

I think Terry Butcher because he has proven record with Inverness. Was an international player and has respect. When he came to st mirren as an away manager he was heard on the touchline. So he has hit a bad patch in his career but I still think he is great manager and knows a good player when he sees one. Inverness was top 6 finish every year he was there. Only one I am not sure fans would take to is McNamara nooo.

No complete manager and assistant change. Bringing in a helper for the manager is embarrassing. Accept the wrong appointment and correct it

I maintain that more qualified managers applied the 3 times in the last year we hsd a vacant murray was the cheap option st mirren needs sold on to someone with vision

Mallen was fit as far as I know. I did not say it was not a good point but results from 8 games for me is not good enough. I will holdy hands up if I am wrong but he is just not good enough yet
