  1. I note on the BBC Scottish football gossip. Brendan Rodgers is singing the praises of our Lewis Morgan. They quote the Sun as their source. Don't know if Lewis would suit hoops after being brought up in stripes. It would be like playing for a green Morton
  2. 0-6 Saints queing up and all fighting for number six which is scored by .........
  3. Here we go again. Sitting on the NB to Edinburgh train whistling "we're top of the league and you're no" on route to Glasgow to meet a few Buds before the game. Couple of beers and head for the Stag's head in Dumbarton for a quick pre-match pint. 90 minutes of scintillating saints magic. O-1 1-4 or what ever. Who cares as long as we get 3 points meaning I can continue whistling that catchy little top of the league ditty. Come on ye Saints. Do the Buds proud.
  4. Probably but Not as dangerous as a ride on the yellowduckmarine tour
  5. Looks like ADAM ANT was hosing in here too
  6. A good mate of mine bought me a dram of black bottle the other night (in this pub a dram was a double) and whilst I seldom refuse a dram I just always assumed black bottle was a peaty Islay blend. I was surprised to find it was very smooth. Apparently they have changed the recipe and are going back to the Speyside taste. If you like your whisky smooth like I do give it a whirl. My fecking head was next morning but......
  7. Just on my way back home from Liverpool. Great City but two things I take for granted as a Scottish citizen were denied me. The first was free wi-fi. Never thought I'd be proud of Scot-Rail but then, I'm not English. Second was my good lady needed an emergency prescription. It's £8.50 for the English and when in England you don't have the SNP looking after your interests. Made me think Scotland was a forward looking country. Must have been drinking too much.
  8. Typical I'm off home tomorrow and you appear at the last minute as the tour guide. I've been staying in the city centre and done a lot of the touristy stuff. Very impressed. Eaten an drank far too much. Not in a drunken manner of course but I'm about too burst. Haven't been clubbing or anything. Way past that now but me and the good lady have had a great time. Liverpool is a lovely city. Much better than I anticipated.
  9. Very impressed so far. Not a all like I imagined. Very impressive buildings. Massive town centre. Docks have all been rejuvenated and I haven't been robbed. Dining experience good and I don't need to drink tenants. Awesome
  10. The guy on the tour bus said their urinals were world famous too. Might take a leak there tomorrow.
  11. I should be ok. I've got the wife with me. She'll spend my money quicker than any Scouser can nab it and God help any scallywags daft enough to mess with her.
  12. No but the train hasn't reached Liverpool yet and it didn't go through Paisley[emoji79]
  13. Cheers there's a couple of possibilities in there which should keep the Mrs happy. Don't think I'll get near any of the football grounds though
  14. Ha! Ha! Maybe I should dump the wife and go with you. [emoji85] [emoji86] [emoji87]
  15. Thanks Guys. On the train now. Sounds like I should have a good time. I'll be back for Dumbarton though
  16. Well if your up for a blow out meet us in Glasgow. The 10.10 ferry will get you into central at 1245. Failing that we'll probably be in the Stags Head about 2.30pm for a very quick one.
  17. This is probably the only major City in the UK I haven't been to but in light of positive reports from recent visitors I'm heading down there with my good lady for a couple of days to check it out. Anyone been there. Any suggestions what to do there apart from the Beatles and the Docks.
  18. We'll keep an eye out for you IOBS. Not sure if we're going for a pre-match pint in Dumbarton (we're meeting up in Glasgow) but if we are I'll give you a shout.
  19. Missed the last two games because of work but got my tickets for the YOUR RADIO 103FM stadium. Feck that's worse than PAISLEY 2021. Bring back BOGHEAD it was cheaper! Mixed thoughts about this one. We were woeful there last season, even during the Great Escape run but in Jack we trust and hopefully they will come out fighting after bottling the IRN BRU tie. We have to keep pressure on Dundee UTD and stay ahead of them as long as possible. The tough fixtures we all worried about at the start of the season are about to repeat themselves. With Falkirk, Morton and Dundee UTD games looming we want 3 points. Anything less will be a body blow. We must learn to beat the wee teams so we can concentrate on staying ahead of the real challengers. So COYS crack the rock and 3 points from its sons please.
  20. Working today. Won't make the came but I'll be there in spirit. Come on Joma Jack and the swashbuckling saints. Plunder another 3 points. Give them a jolly Rogering.
  21. On way home after a great day out. Immense first half. Thought Josh Todd was A1. Smith and Morgan were sublime. Central defence coped well and McCart looked the part. Todd going off kinda ruined the tempo and when Riley was substituted we looked vulnerable. Big Ross Stewart didn't have the same presence and we defended too deep. Still we weathered the storm and James McFadden can safely be called wee fat McFadden the spent force. Well done boys. 3 points you can't get any better
  22. There are always some dafties who will make the effort. My two daughters and I are on the Edinburgh train en route to Paisley for the match. What a cruel dad. If you feel sorry for them you can buy them a drink in the 1877 club. Crowd will be at least 3. COYS
  23. Whilst I agree, I must point out that what I meant was Smith would replace Eckersley in the Team but Smith and Stellios may change position . Ekersley and Stelios were both playing last Week. So whilst I agree with your assessment I never said Smith would play left back. I knew what I meant even if It wasn't clear to those not on my wavelength. Not many are to be fair.
  24. Feck no game today. The wife's trying to give me odd jobs but i'm tempted to slope off down the pub and watch the bigot brothers game. Probably not a good move. Hopefully JR has made a better move with Jamie McCart. He made 9 first team starts for Inverness last year and came on as sub twice. He has premier league experience and listening to Jack he will slot straight into the squad and probably the first team. A very pro-active move from the club and JR who seems to like McCart and has been monitoring his progress. Hanging about with Brendan Rodgers seems to have given JR some influence there. We'll obviously see tomorrow but with Whyte away on loan it looks like McCart will slot into the Buchanan spot and it will be Smith taking on Eckersly's role. That would leave no defensive subs so he could leave out Smith or Irvine and go back to a 4-4-2. should be interesting to see how they line up but I think the McCart signing makes me a lot more positive about tomorrow now, JR is leading from the from the front by sorting out the back. In JR we trust. Role on tomorrow, Tickets and trains sorted. Come on Jamie, COYS. Come on Joomla Jack. We're on our way!!!!!!
