  1. Simply offering my take on what was written, however the shit-fest arising out of what would appear to be our own lack of comprehension; does somewhat beggar belief. Personally I am not for looking for individuals to blame, lets be honest clearly there is LOTS of blame that COULD be attributed, but my feeling is as a club it's best to bite the bullet and get on with it and we fans should assume the club and individuals are now better informed. I can appreciate fans on here being 'royally pissed' about it, but some of them act like the family dog who suddenly turns and bites the hands that feed it, incomprehensible, but it happens. Looking forward to the next Aberdeen game COYS do us proud.
  2. It would appear to me that you are the one looking to start a fight in an empty hoose.......as ma dad wid say, Santaponsasaint stated in his original post 'There was rumours about Jim Gillespie wanting a artificial pith at SMP' he then went on to say first and foremost St Mirren are a professional football club with the first team and academy as the priorities. His point being I would suggest; is that we need to keep a grass pitch to fulfil these objectives, and I for one heartily agree with him, so he lost no argument simply because you choose not to understand, or! well you can guess the other option.

Like this lad have watched a fair few of his vids, cheerful, enthusiastic and very unpretentious, actually a breath of fresh air to listen to.
  4. Have to agree with a lot of what you said and I really am not trying to defend the indefensible; but, BJ has got 60 odd million chasing him for money, work, medicine, so on and so forth whereas............. well! you too can count. The big problem is the country needs to be functioning, as much as possible and I think that's what they are trying to facilitate, not always correctly I agree, but I think it's a bit like being handed a grenade that's about to explode, where do you throw it when your surrounded? anyway I have no wish to rival War and Peace so I will call it quits for now methinks
  5. I was simply using Brexit as an example to explain that at least the man appears to be doing what he and what his role as PM dictates that he should do with regard to the democratic wishes of those who elected him and his party. On the other hand, we have the wee lassie NS, who in direct contradiction of a referendum which supported staying in the UK is fighting tooth and nail to stay with Europe, in effect giving the finger to both BJ, England in general and the majority of Scots who voted to stay, even though her role should also mandate that she carry out the wishes of the people and of the UK government to whom both she and Scotland are subordinate. As for Independence, you had your 'once in a generation' vote and choose to stay and my feeling is there is no way you will be given the opportunity of another anytime soon. Self inflicted problems refers to the fact that both Scotland and Wales as far as Covid 19 is concerned are in charge of their own restrictions ergo any issues you have are either the fault of NS; or more likely people doing what people do irrespective of rules. My understanding is Scotland, being generally much more rural than down south is suffering less and of course given that the population of London is just under 9 million and all of Scotland is only 5.5 million, then the logistics of managing 9 million in one city have to be more challenging than that which NS has to deal with and Covid 19 wise that has to be a big factor. Regarding blame, I can see where you are coming from re ministers who say one thing and do the other; but really; am I to believe that officialdom saying this many people mixing is ok and wear a / don't wear a face mask, eat out / don't eat out, work / don't work, keep a distance etc is going to be the main factor in spreading the virus? I say again your having a giraffe, personally I credit most people with a deal more common sense than clearly you do. I fall within the 'at risk' category and behave accordingly, I believe a lot of younger people don't think the virus is such an issue for them and they are possibly correct, however they can still pass it along and my feeling is that, that is how a fair amount of transmission is happening. plus parties and illegal mass gathering of which there have been many.
  6. The government down south have got larger and slightly more urgent problems to deal with relative to the self inflicted problems of Scotland or Wales and that includes Covid 19 as well as other issues. For my expressions of those views I have no doubt I shall get slated, but that does not make them any the less factual. BJ like him or otherwise (and I was never a big fan) has at least followed the democratic wishes of the people in the UK and did more about Brexit than let us just say the previous encumbant. Scotland and the remainers here have been of no help and the wee gormless lassie that runs the SNP just wants her European Mammy. I would say that both of these actions are at odds with democracy, or do we only advocate that when it suits us or supports our points of view. As for who is to blame re lockdowns etc? I cannot argue with the Covid facts and things could have and perhaps should have been better, quicker, more effective, but hindsight is always so very very useful a tool for those who wish to denegrate those who had to actually deal with things the way they were and yes as far as the current resurgence of Covid cases; I blame the people who fail to follow common sense procedures more that someone who is doing their very best to try and keep the Country viable. Additionally I have no idea what "your fellow gammons" allude to but have a feeling it probably isn't complimentary, I really don't care.
  7. But of course it takes a cnut; to recognise a fanny.
  8. God I just hate it when you are right!!!!
  9. Yer avin a giraffe surely, so let me get this right, in your mind one bloke got the rules wrong and everything is his fault, NOT the imbeciles who attend mass parties, gatherings, or those who ignore medical advice to wear masks, wash hands, and so on, it's all the bloke who got the rules wrong fault?
  10. What? you mean you can tell me, but if you do you'll have to kill me................................ darn!!!
  11. Don't jump into a conversation that wasn't aimed at you, I was responding to B.O.K. and never swore unless you consider bugger as a swear word and if you do you can f*ck off, and I stand by what I said earlier, you avoid responding by choosing to take offence.
  12. Either that or yer nappys full.
  13. You know; I don't believe that I queeried his points per se, it was more his attitude towards events that the manager, B.O.D. and Tony could do bugger all about, that is once Kyle had decided he wanted to go (and who can blame him, I certainly don't) what could we as a club have done and NOT looked like we were spitting our dummy out?
  14. Well please join them, you patter is crap anyway:)
  15. Simply justifies my view of you, certainly not an 'old boy', nor 'good sir' but most assuredly as a f*ck face who chooses NOT to respond to my entirely valid points, but instead takes offense thus saving the need to.
  16. Sow and ye shall reap............weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee man, always a follower never a leader.
  17. No wish to get into a barney with you good sir, old boy or even f*ck face, however you said the squad was "not good enough" and then go on to suggest that six specific players either do not, or will not, meet your seemingly rigorous standards. and I haven't a clue what a happy clapper is. As for suggesting that you don't support the team, where did that come from? certainly not my post, what I said re yourself was........... "Do people like yourself; running down members of our squad help? Is it at all productive? Possibly not would be my take on that question, we are St Mirren. we support our team...............ALWAYS. COYS". And finally, according to yourself "this website gives a platform for discussion and yes a good moan at the problems we face." but it would seem that only applies to your concerns and nobody can comment or criticise your thoughts, in which case I apologise............................................NOT.
  18. Actually old boy, I think perhaps YOU are the embarrassment, the lad wanted to go and could have gone for free (or development money only) in January, so tell me what would you have done, he had been offered aa 4 year deal and didn't want to sign. OK; so did he take an unfair advantage and wait till he recovered from his injury and then decide to leave? Some might think so, but he was injured as a St Mirren player and entitled to receive the best treatment we could give him. Are we happy about it? No we are not. But has the lad done anything untoward? No he hasn't, so we suck it up and move on. Do people like yourself; running down members of our squad help? Is it at all productive? Possibly not would be my take on that question, we are St Mirren. we support our team...............ALWAYS. COYS.
  19. Antrim is possibly too much of a gentleman to tell you. YOU! know FECK all.
