  1. It's not been a good tournament at all yet. The Portugal v Spain game was a belter obviously and I thought Peru v Denmark and the Argentina game v Iceland were passable, but beyond that there has been nothing to set the tournament alight yet. Nigerias version of possession play was very reminiscent of the shite you see in the Scottish Championship. Defenders passing the ball around with no intention or plan to do anything with it at all, the opposition not pressing, and when the defenders finally get bored with it, they lump it 60 yards forward, usually straight into touch.
  2. Maybe - but if so why offer tickets in the family stand. To be honest I wouldn't give your conspiracy theory much credence. In terms of probability I'd say it's far more likely that the worst ticketing website I have ever had to use in my life is probably more likely to be the source of the issue.
  3. 4800 seats being reserved? I don't think so. Like I said when I went in as though renewing I could see spare seats next to my sons seats in the main stand, but when you went in as a potential new season ticket holder those seats disappeared, and the only ones available were in the family stand. BTW, I couldn't even get the graphics to load up on Chrome on a Windows PC, it did work for me on Microsoft Edge.
  4. He says it was an odd choice and he claims Ross rates him. I paraphrased but I'm right about the sites content. Roker Report were put in their place two days ago. They'd be linking Ross with all manner of shite players from the Scottish Leagues on the basis that Jack Ross might know them. With Naismith going to Peterborough, and Kamberi signing for Hibs the Chairman responded to tweets about how disappointing it was to miss out on targets to their rivals. Donald responded as directly as he could "We can’t be beaten to a signing of a player we don’t want to sign. We have plenty of targets and we haven’t lost any yet."
  5. I'm not trying to prove anyone wrong Kenny. If I was doing that I'd copy and paste the obvious evidence from Facebook and reveal his identity. I'm not doing that. I'm simply telling you his name is not that of anyone on the SMISA committee. I don't know more than that cause unlike others I'm not obsessed with who sleeps with whom or who is mates with whom. Im just pointing out something that would be obvious to people who use both formats. Carry on battering Bazil for his arguments, I'll side with you there. I'm just trying to point out that you are wrong in assuming hes on the SMiSA committee.
  6. Aye well by all means carry on making a fool out of yourself Kenny.
  7. Yeah I wouldn't bother reading that site eastlandsaint. It's full of shite - or at least it really has been this summer. This article is typical of the pish he comes away with. No room for negativity apparently, and then he slates Tony Coton. Then he says "but Ross rates him highly" - yet it wasn't Ross that recruited him at all - it was Donald. It's a bit like reading some of the posts on the St Mirren Facebook page, best left alone.
  8. Old school didn't pay Interstadia to run a shite data mining website with limited functionality and cards that cause problems at the first games of every season. It's time to bin them.
  9. I think you are a coward. I've been told you are a fanny. I believe you are the dullest, most boring user of the BAWA forum. And I absolutely know that I wouldn't want you working for or representing me in any way.
  10. I'd agree with this - as well as the lack of an opt out for the use of personal information for marketing purposes and the fact that the company still haven't found a way to get their functionality to extend to the worlds most popular web browser the usability is still utterly shit! As I said earlier in the week both of my sons haven't decided yet whether or not they wish to renew their season tickets. My sons fiancee was considering buying a season ticket so she could go to matches with him. They still haven't made up their minds but I thought I would check the situation regarding available seats. When i go in through either of my sons family memberships I can renew their seats, and I can see a number of limited number of vacant seats around them - one right in front of them and one immediately behind them that would do the trick. However if I try to become a new season ticket holder those vacant seats all disappear and the only seats I can purchase as for a huge area of the family stand which appears to the only seats that haven't been sold. I told my son this and he tried it on his laptop and sure enough he's got the same problem. So it now looks as though both he and his fiancee have had their mind made up for them - they will now not be buying a season ticket and my other son is even less likely to buy one given he won't be sitting beside anyone he knows. As far as I am aware the club hasn't sold 4,736 season tickets for the coming season so I'm not sure why they should all be shown as being sold out but they are!
  11. I've no idea what it's got to do with age but you are right about one thing. I don't represent any of the "6,000" fans that turned up for the last few games. I don't claim to either. I represent myself. My opinions are my own and I post stating my thoughts. If you think you are representing anyone other than yourself then I suggest you seek medical help soon. You've lost it
  12. Now the bigger images are out I've decided the home kit makes it look like the player has a batman cape on. The away kit reminds me of a Spectrum Computer trying to load a game from a cassette tape.
  13. For all his bluster, Trump is fast becoming one of the greatest American presidents of all time.
  14. I know no-one will be the slightest bit surprised but I get the same feeling. Lets face it there's a load of people with really unrealistic expectations. There's the CEO with his 4th - 6th place rubbish. The Chairman who only wants to watch entertaining football. And a board that launched a pile of names into the papers that showed pretty clearly that Alan Stubbs wasn't necessarily first choice. Then there's a load of slabbering fans who think the club will be able to get Stevie Mallan and Lewis Morgan in for the coming season. Or the really daft ones who think Alan Stubbs - a man who in his own words was sidelined by Martinez having gone for the Everton job at that time - will be able to get Marco Silva to send up a load of loan players from Merseyside when Stubbs couldn't get Martinez to send any to Hibs, when he was there, nor Koeman to send him any to bail him out at Rotherham. Staying up should be the only goal. If Stubbs keeps St Mirren ahead of Livingston all season long, and perhaps one other - he'll have had a successful year in my opinion. I don't think there's many on here that share that pragmatism though.
  15. Eh? I'm not divisive. If you check out the forum I seem to be the one forum member everyone rallies together about.
  16. It doesn't look at all clever does it? Jackson's leg is fully extended, knee locked, and he's clearly not pulling back from the challenge. It's hard to conclude anything other than this being a reckless, maybe even dangerous challenge. It would be a straight red card offence today. Back then, incredibly, it wasn't even deemed a foul and when the ball broke free Christian Dailly took full advantage to score. You've got to wonder about the conversation that took place recruiting Jackson though. Did Jackson not tell Stubbs that he wasn't the most popular man in Paisley? Did Tony Fitzpatrick or Gordon Scott not flag up a possible problem - after all both of them are supposed to be big St Mirren supporters aren't they? Or was Stubbs happy to knowingly recruit a divisive figure that could turn, at least a section of, the St Mirren support against him? Maybe all four just felt that at a "fan owned" club they could use this to tell their fellow owners to wind their neck in and to show who is in charge?
  17. No teaming up with me. I've got no problem with it at all. A business has decided to pay to put their name to the stadium. That's good news. At least this time it's not taxpayers money that should have been used to better the town that is being gifted to the football club.
  18. Aye now you can go to the Simple Dome - ala Div.
  19. He's not phoned me yet, but that doesn't mean it's not happening. I'm still waiting on John Kennedy being appointed as manager.
  20. I was told about it at the weekend at a dinner party but I didn't want to share it after the abuse I got for revealing the reason Robbie Neilson knocked the job back.
  21. Can see why they've done it. St Mirren fans are generally quite Simple.
  22. Yes he did. There's a report and a picture of it on here https://www.arabarchive.co.uk/matchdetails.php?id=1898 Stevie Kirk was also hated - probably for his involvement in Abercrombies triple red card.
  23. That's how I remember it too. Kenny McDowell went in goals. Jackson revelled in the abuse he got as I remember it, but I gained a respect for him watching him play for Scotland and seeing just how hard he worked as a player.
