  1. I'm an idiot - although I was shattered last night. However, the size of the first post is irrelevant, it's the size of the second post that matters and typing a single line in a minute is not such an incredible feat. Still, we all learned something new about our friend, @Percy Veer.
  2. The sad truth of the matter, of which I'm sure you're well aware, is that they come from all over the country bypassing their local clubs on the way. I imagine a midweek game against Livingston is one they're prepared to forego if it saves them a journey from Edinburgh/Fife/Dundee, etc. They're glory-hunting scumbags, or follow their club as an expression of their identity or heritage. Give me the Saints any day of the week.
  3. It's because folk buy season tickets and then only go to certain games. Technically, the seats been sold for the match, though. Champions League football meant that many more signed up to the cup scheme, where they're automatically charged for a ticket to the cup games, too. So I'd expect around 40,000.
  4. I've just seen tickets cannot be bought online...that's a pain in the bum. I expect there will be queues for them on Saturday.
  5. My primary school teacher referred to pawns as 'prawns'. 😆 I think P&B just has higher brow posters. 😕
  6. Indeed. Maybe people find my proposal quite intimidating, fearing you would join; with your obviously titanic intellect, nobody else would stand a chance. 😉
  7. They have one on P&B, which has given me the idea. I play on chess.com. If we have 4+ members who're interested, then we could start our own. I will leave this out there for folk to think about.
  8. I really slated Curtis Main, and honestly thought he was irredeemable. I'm so pleased to say that I was wrong about him. That second was sublime. G'aun yersel, Curtis!
  9. What a result this will be! We're up to fourth...
  10. Commentator on the BBC said he couldn't see any contact.
  11. I was just going to post this. Absolutely unbelievable. They have a shambles of a stadium, lost a dispute with builders that cost them ~£600,000, and now this.
  12. He's a young lad, with a promising future by the sounds of it. If he matches Connor Ronan's success, I won't be complaining.
  13. I'm late to the party...but clearly this is a done deal. I just hope the wages are reasonable. Anyone ITK?
  14. The problem for us is Goodwin has just left, so it's a fresh start for them and I would imagine a new game plan. On the plus side the interim manager is dealing with players low on confidence following three terrible results and will not have had a lot of time to work with the team. How this goes is anyone's guess. I could see us getting a result, but equally I could see us getting scudded 3-0.
  15. According to the club it's on Sky Sports: https://www.stmirren.com/all-news/4774-our-match-against-celtic-moved-for-sky-sports-coverage
  16. That's not a bad deal, actually. Until you realise their best before date is Wednesday...
  17. It always puzzles me why fees are 'undisclosed'. The obvious answer would be that one of the clubs fear embarrassment. Given the way Premier League clubs throw money around, I cannot imagine it would be Palace who fear that. Also, we're desperate to cut our wage bill.
  18. Was it an 'undisclosed fee', i.e. peanuts?
  19. To be fair, pal, it's very tight - just 7 points separate Hibs in 6th place from Killie in 11th. If Motherwell win today, they're four points behind us. But you're right. Looking upwards, only four points separate us and Livingston in fourth place. So we could still be dragged into a relegation battle, but equally finishing fourth is just as achievable. I think things will be clearer by March, given we have five league games in February. Three points today is really important, but more so for Motherwell who really are already very much in that dogfight.
  20. Hibs (a) Lost 3-0 Ross County (a) Lost 3-2 St. Johnstone (h) Drew 2-2 Rangers (h) Drew 1-1 Aberdeen (h) Won 3-2 Livingston (a) Drew 1-1 Kilmarnock (a) Drew 0-0 Hearts (h) Drew 1-1 Hearts (a) Lost 1-0 Celtic (a) Lost 4-0 In those ten games we played both the Old Firm and Hearts twice. Of the other six games, four were away from home. Whilst we have not been good, admittedly, those ten games have been fairly tough fixtures. It's our home form that has been outstanding this season, and I admit we're beginning to need to start winning our home games. Tomorrow's huge.
  21. How come every thread on this place gets turned into a slanging match? 😆 It appears we can get up to 12,000 tickets. It would be amazing if we could take a third of that and make some noise.
  22. I understand they had many more sign up to a scheme to enable them to get home cup matches, as these included the Champions League games. I don't know the full facts, but that is what I have been told. It means that many of them are essentially paying for the home cup games anyway.
