  1. So the bulk of the crowd... Yeeehaaa 1- 0 The Saints.....5 spectators and the Albion Rovers number 14 on the bench have been taken to hospital having epileptic seizures as the stripes huddled to celebrate the opener.
  2. Ahh we're too late looks like Commonweath Games Team England have bagsed it
  3. Enough to make you sob when you see other designs we could have had. Frankfurt home & away design ?
  4. Partisan based home ....... Milan based away ....... would persuade me to part with the money for both. This season's offering....na no thanks....not even come the end of season bargain rail.
  5. Our leaky defence has needed a Plummer for a few seasons. Quoted today as "It'll be a wrench to leave Manchester and I don't fancy St Mirren's new taps" Write up on his Oldham debut a bit concerning Back from an injury and seemed quite phased by crowd and that level of football
  6. Been a bit flaccid up front last few seasons
  7. On the other hand we've Nigeria putting in an even better performance than Iran and we were a Grant Hanley clearance away from beating them last game out.
  8. I believe he was going on the estimate from Professor Patrick Dunleavy of London School of Economics whose name the Treasury tried to attribute their original figures to before he announced he was furious how they'd exagerated them by around x10 ..they then backtracked to say they'd used a Canadian Professor Young's estimate for Quebec from 18 years ago. 18 year old data whose use in Scotland's context Professor Young then quickly dissasociated himself was presented as "the most comprehensive analysis of the fiscal position of Scotland yet produced" Honestly I'm not making that up ! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-27611563 You won't see it under BBC Scotland news they sneaked it out late Wednesday night backdated the byeline and don't provide any link to it under latest news or from related stories.
  9. Indeed but when the Government present figures based on the London School of Economics Professor's data which he immediately says is misrepresentation of his work to the tune of x10 or 12 I have problem trusting them. Even if it cost the ridiculous figure they quoted it was still 3 times less than the Olympics cost us for a one off event v the set up of Scottish Government for years....still a bargain. That story was strangely buried in the who has the right figure crap...I don't care who was closest, in reality it' s likely to have been in the middle sod all change, but the ine FACT in all of it was that The Treasury were caught outright lying and our media chose not to highlight it.
  10. would have to be the later as Sheffield Utd in League 1 won't be in the Premiership for many a year...signing for them would be doing a Lappin...never heard of again
  11. Nice family club Sheffield Utd.....Can we have your terrific up and coming midfielder for £100,000 ? ...sorry we can't offer more we're hoping to give a convicted rapist £3million to play for us. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/convicted-rapist-footballer-ched-evans-3604122
  12. Strange pairing since those are 2 of the players the club has stood by admirably when they had difficult times.
  13. Apologies if I'm missing it but not seen mention of this story saying McGregor has had talks with Hearts, http://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/hearts/hearts-hold-talks-with-gomis-and-mcgregor-1-3421549 Great bunch of comments from League one fans thinking they should be signing better and questioning who he is....just like their 2nd liquidation headed big brothers. Wouldn't be happy to be left with one inconsistent Centre half on the books.
  14. Glad to hear the description of that offer £500,000 has to be a start. It would be sheer stupidity to accept any less Just thinking back to the youngsters from Hamilton Accies who both had very similar profiles at similar stages of development. I could be wrong but I don't recall either of them controlling games... and games against established top quality midfielders at that in the way McGinn has this season. James McCarthy - similar stats with just the single season at SPL while breaking into Ireland's under 21 scene - £1.2 Million James McArthur again breaking through at same sort of age.....£500,000 Ryan Fraser at Aberdeen ... no where near as developed as McGinn only just made the first team 19 games or so £400,000 We have a terrific young player who has matured at a tremendous rate since becoming a regular starter...that quality isn't easy replaced and any offer would have to be VERY worthwhile.
  15. ...and rightly so ...has won less points than Danny and Gus and hasn't signed anyone in the summer let alone the commanding centre half we need. also you say 'he'.....isn't that Scudamore sexism....could be a woman http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27306106
  16. No The Rangers .....No Hearts..... Possibly No Hibs....is this Armageddon? Quite enjoying it
  17. Nice to have no pressure last games but hammer throwing cheats finishing ahead leaves a bad taste
  18. Victory for the good guys .....led by Goodwin the Grey and Gimlet McGinn
  19. Would be our best chunk of place money to date and more than we would have had to budget for
  20. I think Killie have to lose to Hearts to give us the 100% safe as of now. 'Mon the Jambos
  21. Full Time 1-0 Well done Saints.....one more decent result will do it....can it be next game please ?
