Does it really matter?

I've been generally trying to avoid this thread, as I have a real gut feeling that this whole scenario stinks. Whether I'm being remotely reasonable or rational is moot, but I think it will be to the ultimate detriment of the club. Families are getting shunted and shafted for this, and that means kids, the lifeblood of our club's future. This is going to be a tough season, so I think the club should be doing everything it can to ensure that it isn't an easy decision for folk to opt to stay away. When people stay away, it is more likely that they won't bother coming back. As I say, I reckon it stinks. It stinks of short-termism. I very much hope I'm well off the mark.

It'll be interesting to see the line up tomorrow, but whatever it is, we should be getting behind every player who takes the field (and the manager and his team). We earned a good reputation as a support last season, so let's not taint that with the only sing when you're winning routine

One word: Ignore.

I genuinely don't give two hoots. All the interest and clamour surrounding this only goes to highlight what would appear to be the paucity of decent options available to us just now. I'm not pointing the finger at Stubbs or the club over this, incidentally, it is just the situation we find ourselves in. We are still a bit away from being the finished article, though, so I hope Miller isn't the sum of our ambitions and efforts just now.

Is LPM still banging on about Shankland? Christ, he must have a stack on him signing at the bookies, because he seems to be the only one who still thinks/hopes there is even the remotest chance of this happening.

Most likely. I take it they (Kilmarnock) are offering him a full contract then, as opposed to a loan deal? I'm pretty disappointed by this one. Stewart would have been a good fit for us.

If Miller joins up, it will have been a bit of opportunist business on Stubbs' part. Regardless of what you think of Miller signing, it does perhaps suggest that there were few other viable options on the table, and that has to be a concern. Either that, or Stubbs considers Miller to be a better fit than any other potential addition he had been considering. Again, that wouldn't fill me with confidence. Of course, it is possible that there are other irons in the fire in addition to Miller. Ach well, all will become clear within the next week or so.
